15 Ways to Make Money Online Without Paying a Single Penny in 2018

Is it really possible to make money online without paying anything in 2018?

The answer to that question can go many different directions but I want to show you how you can do it without investing any money as I’m sure a lot of you have enough bills to pay.

I have been making money online for 4 years (come February) and my passion for finding different and legitimate ways to make a living online has led me to not so many opportunities and an endless amount of scams.

Not something we want to hear but that’s the reality with things on the internet and most especially when it comes to “free” types of “opportunities”.

The programs I am about to introduce to you have made me money and did not require me to pay anything, so I’m sure it can do the same for you.

Don’t think you will be quitting your day job with any of these sites though, but at the very least, they will pay you without asking for any money.

2. Do Simple Tasks

Thanks to sites like Swagbucks you are able to do simple things and get paid for doing them.

When I say simple, I mean watching videos, clicking on links, or simply adding a widget to your search bar.

These guys have been around for a really long time and they continue to pay its members through cash and gift cards, which is still cool and worth money.

No money needed and you can make the most with this site when it comes to doing simple tasks.

You can also use Inbox Dollars, which offers the same type of work and pay.

3. Take Surveys

This is the most common way to make money online and there are many sites to choose from so let’s not overwhelm you with especially those that don’t pay well.

I’ve heard of some people making about $300/month but there are several factors that will determine how much you make per survey.

They are typically 20-30 minutes long and not all surveys will be available to everyone so keep that in mind.

Get paid in cash, gift cards, or even products.

This is probably going to be your easiest way to make money online without paying anything but don’t be expecting to make anything life changing.

I hire freelance writers all the time, so I know that they make a lot of money and that’s how I know you can too.

There are bloggers, businesses, and newspaper sites that can use your skill and are willing to pay good money too so make the most of your writing and start making some real money.

5. Write For Yourself

Making quick cash is cool and all but if you have the time and patience, writing to make yourself money is always going to be your best bet.

People are willing to pay good money for writers and that is only because that one article is going to make them a lot more money than what they have to pay to get it done.

So if you have the time and patience, I recommend you create your own website and start writing on a specific niche of your choice.

There are free websites out there and if you start building out one with great content, you can not just make money in the future, but make the type of money most people only dream of.

* Do understand that this method is not going to make you money right away and it will probably take months before you will be able to make anything.

6. Become an Affiliate Marketer

Exactly like you would do if you were to write for yourself but this time you can incorporate some affiliate marketing, which is nothing more than selling other people’s products to make a commission.

I personally love the affiliate marketing business model and it is responsible for 80% of the revenue that I bring in from my overall online business.

This can be done completely free but most people end up getting lost and quitting, which is why I recommend a site called the Wealthy Affiliate.

They do offer a free membership and don’t require a credit card, so you can see how things are done before you even commit to anything.

7. Become a Virtual Assistant

Another easy job but requires a little more than just signing up.

You will need to develop a relationship with someone else and gain their trust before you can consider this a long term investment.

Not the hardest of jobs and being done on the internet is great for you to do part-time.

You can find these types of jobs on craigslist but there are actual companies that cater specifically to virtual assistants like the ones below.

8. Become a Tutor

Thanks to this thing called the internet, you are now able to tutor online.

I’m sure a lot of you have probably tutored others in your life and most likely the pay wasn’t the best especially if it was someone you know.

Forget about doing things out of the goodness of your heart and start making money for your work as your time is truly your biggest asset.

With sites like VIPKID, you can tutor students from China, all from your computer and they are willing to pay over $22/hour just for doing so.

You will only be working for about 3 hours a day and so far things are really going well for the company and a lot of retired teachers.

9. Get Creative

I have had dozens of logos done for me on that site and the prices start at just $5.

Everything starts at that price but there are so many ways to raise your rates, like adding some up-sells to your orders, which is a great way for people like you looking to make money with a task that simply requires a little skill and a lot of passion.

If you have this passion for designing or are simply looking to make money with simple designs, you might want to checkout Fiverr.com.

They do offer a ton of other jobs related to designing, so if design is your specialty, I’m sure you will find the right gig for you there.

10. Data Entry

Used to be the most common job on the internet but still a very sought after job, as all that is required is for you to be able to type and use programs like Microsoft Word.

This job is done a whole bunch in the real world but there’s nothing better than being able to do it on your computer when and where you want to.

If that’s something you can do, Ziprecruiter is hiring!

This is probably the only job I have not needed work for as I don’t need this type of work done for me but there are hundreds and thousands of people who do need it.

Pay is a lot better than most jobs, so definitely give this a try if you fit the position.

11. Create Websites

More creativity type jobs for those of you who have that artistic touch.

There are a lot of you out there that have a thing for this type of work and this is also where big bucks can be made just from one project alone.

Most of the time this requires managing and updating of sites so keep that in mind if this is something you find interest in.

Then again, it will always be different for every website owner so this is still one to not overlook.

12. Buying and Selling

This was something I did before becoming a full-time online marketer but I did it in the real world.

These days, you can find almost anything on the internet for dirt cheap and you can easily sell it on Ebay or Craigslist and turn a huge profit.

This is called flipping.

Here are some niche ideas that can help you get started if you are considering this as your next venture.
