I have come to the conclusion that the only way to make a solid income online is to work at it. The Wealthy Affiliate is one of the few that will show you just that, which I will explain to you more in this review.
There is also no push button software and there is no secret formula to making thousands of dollars online and that is something I had to learn the hard way.
A couple thousand dollars later and a couple of pay $7 to change your life schemes, I can now say that I make money online and I work completely from home.

This review is not to praise or bash Wealthy Affiliate, but to give you the facts and explain to you exactly how I was able to create success with this and how you can do the same.
What is Wealthy Affiliate?
It is nothing more than an online training facility, with a bunch of like minded people, who are there to help each anyone and everyone create a successful online business.
The training is mainly conducted by Kyle (one of the owners) and there are several modules and forums that will assist you along the way.
It is super easy to follow and it is a work at your own pace type of site, so anyone can learn from what is being taught within their platform.
They offer a completely free trial (which was not offered when I first tried them), that gives you access to the site so you can see how everything works before you commit to anything.
No credit card is required either, so definitely take advantage of that.

What You Will Be Doing
Unlike these other “opportunities” that I’ve joined that require you to sell the same product you just bought, you won’t be doing that here.
Rather than trying to at least break even and get someone to signup under you, you will be creating your own business and not trying to make other people rich either.
This is one of the few “jobs” out there that you can say you are really your own boss. Even with MLMs, there is still someone above you that you make money for, so you can’t say you work for just yourself.
With Wealthy Affiliate, you will be creating your own site and promoting these products to gain a commission for your efforts.
The concept of making money online is really simple, but the techniques that are taught here is what makes this program amazing.
- Pick a niche – This can be absolutely anything you are passionate about and yes you can make money with something that you are already interested in.

You can sell absolutely anything with the training provided within WA even if I don’t agree with the business models with most of the programs you’ve mentioned Mehul. However, you can sell whatever you want on your site and you can learn it all at WA.

You can choose whatever you want to sell Mehul and any of them will work. You do need to get inside of WA and go over the training as it explains how you will go about selling these products. If you read this review, I give you an explanation of what you will be doing but you can join WA for free and you can learn there as well.
Where do you find a good niche that will sell? I wanted to do watches. Where do you find good niches to sell?
You don’t really focus on something that will sell Heather. The way I find niches is by going for a problem or something other than products that people are interested in. So for something like watches, I would go with a niche like “gps for urban life” or “best watches for nerds” and then go about promoting different watches. Does that make any sense to you?
Hello! Would I be correct in assertaining that one would not be wise to sign up for the free trial until they have chosen their “niche” ? I’m super indecisive and would probably change my mind multiple times on what I cared to focus on… Since the trial is only 7 days it seems wasteful to begin before having a topic in mind ?? Is that correct??

If you understand everything you need when picking your niche then you can go about things without signing up. However, the free trial is there to help you understand everything about niche selection as well as what you will be doing with your business. I don’t think it will have a negative impact if you did signup for the free membership regardless and I actually think it will help. Also, the 7 days is for things like the live chat and live help but besides that, you will still have access to the free training. Yes Michelle. The starter membership pretty much gives you a feel of things before you commit to anything. So yes, it is free to join but that is more of a test drive and not something completely free. If you don’t like it then you don’t have to pay.

I read this review after reading a review you did on Instant Commission Machine where I found your comments to be fair, true and reasonable. Nice way, however, to introduce people to your affiliate product WA, which seems to be more down to earth as a system for succeeding in online marketing. In my case, I already have a blog in a Niche that I like talking about. But I am new to blogging and still setting everything up. Would I still be able to learn from WA without having a website from them?

As I said in my previous comment, I am new to blogging but I feel like I have so much information I want to share yet I am not even sure anyone can find any of the stuff I am writing on my blog as I don’t think I’ve set up any of the things that I should set up to be ranked by Google such as SEO and other stuff that I don’t know yet. I was wondering how much support I can get with a regular membership on WA. How far can a regular membership get me before I need to sign up for a premium membership? I read a book with the title “Live free or Do it Yourself”. It is recommending to let the expert do an expert job, Should I, in this case, focus on the content and pay someone to set up my blog to be ranked by Google?

You can do both if you’d like Pascal but I always recommend you be in the know with your niche. I actually have a writer for my other site but I do half the workload so that I’m still involved as I just love doing this stuff. As far as ranking, you will learn how to do that in WA and YOU will be the expert so there’s no need to hire anyone for that stuff.

With WA, you will make money by picking something you are interested in and then creating a website around that interest from which you will monetize and get traffic with the lessons taught there. Now I have a question on your income statements. I take it those are what you get by people joining WA thru you, am I correct? You then must have other income that you learned from using the WA materials I assume? I have tried in the past to have a business online and this does look like it could be the answer.
Now the million dollar question, how long did it take you or even the average person to make say their first $100 check? I am seriously thinking or rather will join under you with the idea of working with my son to get this going and want a realistic idea of what kind of time needed to make our first $100 to $500 month then week. Between the both of us we can easily put 2 to 4 hours a day to get this going.

Yes those are from others joining WA through me and yes, I have other income from another niche site I created using exactly what WA teaches. For me I didn’t see my first $100 until my 6th month but I have seen others make $5k/month by that time and I have seen others that have made $0 by that point as well. It really all depends on the individual and the amount of work they put in. If you and your son work on one site then you can definitely accomplish a lot more than people like myself. I was a member of WA two years ago. Nothing was available for a free member. Every time a pop up came to ask you to upgrade to get the needed STUFF. So you have to upgrade for $49 monthly..
You have to read many QUESTIONS and ANSWERS to get some understanding by reading and listening to others opinion. 1/2 hours daily I spent to read those opinions. You can have 10 WEBSITES, but you must pay for every websites to be able to manage or maintain them. I had to pay £390 0r 400 yearly to supposedly get facilities to get money. I paid for two years and what I got was NOPE $. KYLE or CARSON were there to HELP. But every time I was asking something, I was not being clearly explained. So was it free after paying so much? And not getting the required help.
They were suppose to help me where I had got stuck. They should have known by their so many years of experiences where an affiliate is in difficulties and where he has got stuck. Why I was paying £/$ 49:00 every month? Why I had to pay about £/$ 375 or whatever yearly? Was it just for asking questions and be ignored? Either it means that I was not getting help or it means that I am not teachable and I am a foolish to the bones.

That’s not exactly how it works Mohunlall but I’m also not saying you can’t make any money with the free membership. Kyle and Carson come in every now and then to help but it is literally impossible to help the thousands of people on that site. I myself help when I can but I am not there every single second of the day. There are hundreds of members on there that provide help 24/7 and I am sure you can get the answers you need from any of them. Have you gone over any of the training?

As far as affiliate marketing is concerned, the next best thing would be Affilorama, but they are kind of pricey and don’t offer everything like WA does. What they teach is 100% legit and is exactly like WA though, so give them a try Robert. Now is there anything else you were thinking about doing?
I’m a huge fan of WA… both the program itself and the affiliate program. They’ve both been great to me over the years. Not many opportunities stand the test of time as wa has.
I can’t say that I’ve gone through all the comments, but I’ve gone through a number and didn’t come across my question, so I thought to ask it.
If you go for the monthly premium membership, can you go back to the free one? Also will the website continue as well? From one of the comments, it looks like Wealthy Affiliates are the actual owners of the website, but from the information that you provided looks like that we’d be the owner of our own business (just not the websites), is that correct?

You can’t go back to the free membership T but there really is no reason to once you go premium. That’s like saying, yes, I want to learn how to learn how to do affiliate marketing…okay I was just kidding (lol). The free membership gives you access so that you can see what everything is about before you actually purchase anything as you will need the tools and all the help that is offered in the premium membership, which is worth hundreds of dollars if you were to buy everything separately.
If you don’t want to use WA’s service anymore you can always transfer your site elsewhere. You will be the owner of everything actually as WA just hosts your site. So although they do provide all the tools you need, YOU still own YOUR business, especially the websites.

Not at all Mo. Click Funnels is exactly like it says in the name (funnels) and that is what a lot of the high ticket ponzi schemes are using. WA teaches you how to do affiliate marketing as well as equip you with the necessary tools to make it happen. Two completely different programs.

Interesting article. Thanks. However I went thru your review of James’ Web Copy Cat (WCC)marketing site as well and you have clearly called out WA as the best but what confuses me is both these sites sell the same product that we would buy as a free or premium member. For e.g. in WA once anyone clicks on your referral link you would get points or dollars for the same and same is the concept in WCC. So how is WA better? being an ex-premium WA member, I agree that training etc. is much better and you build your own siterubix or own website but operating and revenue model are the same. Isn’t it?
Definitely not the same man. WCC is a recruiting type of site that has landing pages and all that from which you will use to get people to join you through WCC and then you make money. WA teaches you how to create a website on YOUR CHOSEN TOPIC, from which you will make money from whatever products are related to that niche.
For example, I have a site on office products and I make money from Amazon, Wayfair, and other sites that pay me for promoting their products. This site you are on talks about working from home and giving people direction as I know how it is to be new as I have fallen for many scams myself.
WA does not teach you how to recruit but rather how to build a site in whatever it is that you are interested in. I can very much make money by telling you WCC is the best but why would I do that? WA is truly the best site out there and nothing comes close.
I do recommend you get back on WA and really go over the training as it is nothing like WCC. If you want, I can even help you out as I have helped thousands build their own business. Just say what’s up and let me know it’s you. Hope this helps Sunny!

Hey Maria, I totally understand your skepticism as I was once in your shoes. WA is definitely the best thing out there and one that can create an income that a regular j-o-b can’t provide. I have been working from home for 4 years now and my online business is what pays for everything, which amounts to at least $4k of monthly expensive along with us being able to eat out whenever we want, so just do the math. It of course is not going to happen overnight but with some work and determination I’m sure you can and will do the same. WA’s domain names are used by them and we are not allowed to change them. You will be creating your website that is not going to have WA in it at all. So if you were to choose sewing as your niche, you would do something like annssewshop.com. Did that answer your question Ann?

Hi! I am super interested in something like this. I am a full time student and I also work for a wellness company. I do enjoy this but I have to make a product point commitment each month and it is more than $49 a month. This is gonna be a tough switch, but I am going to definitely look into this. My challenge with online business is staying with one niche and build a business there. Wealthy Affiliate speak about your passion, is it possible to build a business from your area of your passion.
How possible is it to build a business out of EDUCATION as a passion, particularly not in a formal educational institution because I’m not working in one.

Yes you definitely want to stick with one niche and that is why you want to go with something you are really interested in. Education can go many ways as far as building out a niche site and even just something like “supplies for teachers” can work great. If you just think outside the box of actual “education” then you can come up with many niches in that broad topic alone.
I too have experienced a lot of failure before finally using WA and trust me, it was not the best time of my life. I did learn though, so I look at it as nothing but a learning experience. Now if it wasn’t for WA I really don’t know what I’d be doing right now, so do know that it absolutely works.
You can make money with a free membership but it’s not likely going to happen as you need a lot of the tools and training offered in the premium membership. Now if you knew a ton about online marketing then you can definitely make it happen. However, a simple $49/month investment is really not that big of a deal, especially to run an actual business. I once ran a bar and just the rent alone was crazy, so you need to look at this as a very tiny investment and you will see how valuable such a small amount can really do for you.

A simple $49/month investment isn’t always so simple, not everyone can afford to possibly throw away $49 ( one time fee or is that per month?) or be out that amount for a long time. It would be nice to see that you can make an income even from the free membership ( even if the income is small) Well i realize that it takes time to make an income and gather people to what your selling, how can you know you will make an income if you cant make one with the free membership? For example some Anti-Virus soft ware lets you try the full version for a limited time so you know the product works, same basic idea, free membership, small income,payed membership larger income….Wouldn’t it be better business to do it that way were everyone would profit? You would have more people able and willing to join and with the being able to make even a small income I could see more people buying the membership..Even if they had to wait to make the $49 from the small amount they would make.
WA teaches you how to run a legitimate online business Sonja and if you are not looking to do that then this is definitely not for you. Making money online requires an investment, so if that is something you can’t do then you simply will not make money online. An antivirus program can’t be compared to anything actually. That’s like saying, Mcdonald’s should let you try their burger before you buy it. Every business, product, and anything that requires spending has a different way it is done and in the online world, you NEED to invest. WA gives enough “free” as they show you exactly what you are going to be doing, so I don’t see anything wrong with that. As a matter of fact, I had to pay $49 just to see what everything was about, so everyone that joins now is pretty lucky. I do understand what your saying but my question was more how can we tell if the program works at all if you cant make anything from the free membership? Were I am guessing you made money right off because you payed the 49. Well Mcdonald’s doesn’t charge 49.00 for a hamburger there prices are cheep enough to were most do not mind paying 1.00 to try there product. You have placed and absolute doubt in my mind. For years, I have been searching through the internet how to make money online. I know that IT IS actually possible, however, when you are a newbie to this internet marketing world, you can find/meet a lot of sharks around waiting to take your money, and at the end you end up losing and not gaining anything.
Now, I was about to get started with Digital Altitude. Of course, I understood the fact that you have to sell/promote the same product you purchase. However, it is presented as if they have multiple products that you can sell, and how their systems will get you there. As Mr. Force calls it “The Harvard of online marketing”.
I was willing to give DA a try, but I agree with you, I did not appreciate the fact that a person has to borrow money, apply for loans and other credit cards in order to get started, and unfortunately it is NOT guaranteed that you will make money, and possibility exists that the person will end up in an unwanted debt.
As mentioned, I want to make money online, but I just want a LEGIT program/way to do so. The reason why I have been skeptical about it is because of scams, and many empty promises. I would just like the right guidance and advice. I did not think it would be complicated, but sadly it is.

I just came from a program that charged me over $5,000 for basically nothing other than some useless training and the opportunity to basically sell same such product to others. I am not sure if you have run into programs like this yourself John but you should investigate some of these. I actually run into many of those programs and as much as we can’t stand them, they will probably never go away. I try my best to save people from them but the dollar signs take control and we just have to see it for ourselves. I have some questions. You said that this is not a MLM and you do t need to promote or sell the same system to others. It seems to me that you kind of need. I have read the comments and you refer them to your link which you said you will get recognition on it once they register using your link. Maybe I did not understand but if it works the way I am saying it seems Ronnie that you will get paid for each person that register to this system.
Other question if this is something you work as affiliate for Amazon, EBay they don’t pay much. I believe it will be 3% to 4% for each sale you make.
Let’s say Amazon pays me 4% I will need to sell monthly an average of $50,000.00, having to sell 500 products that cost $100 average in order to make $2,000 in commission. Is the logic I am using correct or I am not understanding this system?

Thanks for your input Ely and NO you do not need to recruit a single person to make money with WA. This site is one of the niches I’m involved in and it is solely to lead people in the right direction. I can make money from absolutely any product as they all have an affiliate program and that is exactly what I do with WA. So I can even tell you a scam is legit, give you my link, and still make money. WA is just what works and is what I recommend.

Amazon starts you off at like 4% but it increases even after just 7 sales. It goes up to as high as 12%, which is still good. The thing most people don’t understand is one, there is no bigger market than what we have right here (the internet). Two, people shop on Amazon without even thinking so you’re giving your customers products from a well trusted name and they will most likely buy. The last thing about Amazon is the fact that you will get paid for EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT that person buys using your link. So even if they bought some little toy and decided to buy a flatscreen tv, you will get paid for both. With all this put together, you can have one serious cash machine my friend and this is exactly why I always recommend WA. By far the best business model out there.

Sorry about that Amos but the free membership is not allowed in some countries due to the high amount of fraud so your only option would be premium. Most people don’t even get the option to go premium so if you can, take advantage of it. It’s beyond worth it!

You can definitely use that as your niche and no you will not need to create any products whatsoever. Affiliate marketing is really selling other people’s products to make money but you can sell absolutely anything you want on YOUR site. You only need one website and that will be used to promote anything and everything. WA will teach you how to promote whatever it is that you want. WA teaches you how to do free ways to get people to your site as well as paid but up until now I have yet to try paying for advertising. John, can you give me a realistic time frame of how long the average yet dedicated person will take to start making money using WA if they have no affiliate experience? Also what you’d recommend to accomplish that along with the type of money you’d suggest they start with in addition to the $49.00 per month?
I made my first $1 by my 3rd month and I was definitely dedicated to it. After that my income continued to grow from there but of course it will be different with every person as we all have different work ethics and different niches. I recommend you follow exactly what the training says to do (don’t skip anything), even if you think it sounds weird. It’s there for a reason. The $49/month is really all you need but I also use their keyword tool (jaaxy), which is completely optional but does help with keyword research. Oh and you will also need a domain name ($13.99) but that’s for a whole year. Hosting is included with your membership, so that’s covered too. With a solid work ethic, I think you can do the same man, so give it your all and you will see results.

The beauty with affiliate marketing is that you don’t need to do any of the stuff that comes with dropshipping. When someone buys a product from your site, they are redirected to the actual merchant and then they deal with your customers. You don’t deal with returns, shipping or any of that stuff. A trick that I have used to help others is that if they are connected to public wifi, disconnect and use the Internet /data service for the device (i.e. phone, tablet use their provided service) but once they have their account set up they can reconnect to the wifi and operate no problem! I was definitely skeptical at first about joining Wealthy Affiliate, but after reading your review and many others online my comfort went up slightly. I have tried several other affiliate programs in the past with no such luck. I found myself joining and then having to buying a whole bunch of other stuff.
The last program I tried had several $1,000 in coaching they wanted from me on top of their membership fees and they wanted me to join Bluehost and pay for website themes. Not exactly what I bargained for.
One question before I join, will websites, hosting, mentoring, etc be included in the Starter and Premium memberships. I am willing to pay money for stuff, but I want to be served straight goods something that I haven’t experienced yet online. I am hoping you will tell me that Wealthy Affiliate is different.
You get everything man and don’t worry about a thing as there are no up-sells that you have seen in the past. I too have been taken for a ride with many other programs, just to spend more and still not make any money. WA is definitely different and you will see that even with just your free membership. I think that I maybe saw 1-2 (if that) negative comments about this company as I’ve read pretty much every question asked on here (which was a lot) by people whom are interested and all were answered back with offering some kind of help outside of WA to us newbies and experienced. Very impressive might i say! I too am new to all of this a and have a few quick questions before I do sign up. First, I’ve read that yes money can be made with the free sign up. How likely is it to make $ with the free trial? I understand that it won’t be over night and could take anywhere from a month, to three months, or one yr, 2yr ect. (Understanding might take longer due to limited access with 2 websites and training) depending on of course how much interest and demand people have for my niche as well as traffic to my websites. I’ll be relying on first sale or two to be able to pay for the premium to have full access. Two, am i able to still be successful with this by using my LG Fortune android phone? I have a laptop but i travel with my spouse all over the states due to his job being a truck driver so I’m only able to use my laptop on off time when parked up only if there’s an available open WiFi hotspot in the area? There are just so many perks of being a premium member Tonya and although you can make money with your free membership, you will only be holding yourself back from a lot of things that the premium membership offers.
Using a phone is going to be really hard and you defintely want to have a laptop to create content for your site. You can always publish them when you have an internet connection, but immediate wifi is not necessary.

You’re concerned if I’m legit Dave? Let’s just say I have went all in with a very similar product to MOBE and I lost a lot there too. I joined Wealthy Affiliate after and although I didn’t make money right away, I was actually able to make back everything I lost and a lot more. I also work from home full-time thanks to everything that I learned from WA. I am not a product owner, but I do know about everything out there and WA is definitely a business on its own. Whether you believe me or not, you should at least give their free membership a try and you will see exactly how they work. Just use MOBE as a HUGE lesson learned man, but definitely try to get your money back even if they have a no refund policy. There are many people out there in your shoes, so don’t give up and try to get that refund. Go through your credit card company if you have to.

I’m pretty sure I tried Wealthy Affiliate back in 2012 when I was a college freshman trying to get ahead of the game and quit because of the overload of information (college students have an attention span of an ant, or at least I did lol). Do you think I should just say forget that website and start here again with WA? Don’t worry Tyanna, I actually took the same steps you did. Joined WA and took no action simply because I was busy with life. In the meantime, I was too busy trying to get rich quick until finally I figured out that I needed to work at it from which I finally gave WA a go. After building out my site for a couple of months, I finally made my first $1. From that point on, I continued to build and grow, which of course made me more money. Within a year’s time, I was finally working for myself (yay!) and I have never looked back since then. WA is the real deal!
I recommend you take that site and get it hosted with WA and continue to build out that site, just use the training at WA to monetize it. You can definitely do this on any computer and there is nothing that needs to be downloaded. Hey Maks, sorry about that, but they usually don’t allow anyone from your country to join due to the high amount of fraud. They don’t even offer the premium membership, so that’s actually a good thing as there were others from your country who weren’t even able to signup for the premium membership even if they wanted to. If you want to join, you would have to become a premium member. That’s the only way. Sorry about that, but that’s your only option.

Hi john, I understand the bad experience you had from a few Nigerians who tried to compromise the process, but should you blacklist a whole nation because of a few unscrupulous minute percentage. I think your management or team should have a re-think over this decision. What I think you should have done is to build a ”strong control that is full prove”. It’s completely normal to be skeptical about anything especially in the online world. The thing about Wealthy Affiliate is that it’s a real business and it’s something that will grow, so making money right off the bat is likely not going to happen.
Do know that I was once in your shoes and have put thousands of dollars into many programs and I made a whopping $0. After blowing so much money spending the $49/month here was really nothing for me and the weird part about all this is the fact that I actually started to make money.
It took me about 3 months to make my first $1 but that’s really all I needed to show me that this thing works. Fast forward to now, and I am working from home full-time enjoying all my time with my kids.
It’s really hard to trust anyone online but believe me, I have tried them all and nothing compares to this site. I know money can be tight for a lot of people, but as a business person, $49 a month is really nothing when you really think about it.
Again, I know it is really hard to trust anyone online, but I have seen it all and I know exactly how you feel. Do know that this program right here is the real deal and something you at the very least should try.
I mean, you get a free membership that allows you to see what everything is about and they don’t require you to put in any credit card information. If you don’t like what you see, you don’t pay and you just stop logging into the site. It’s really that simple.

Oddly enough it seems to me I heard of Wealthy Affiliates over ten years ago and most likely I even signed up or requested information.
My question is simply, how long will it take to make money using WA?
I am willing to work extremely hard.
Things have taken place in our lives that have all but drained our finances and we are squeaking by pay day to pay day at a time in our lives we should be enjoying life.
Our daughter blessed us with a beautiful grandchild and within one year of that she took off – you can figure the rest. Not being prepared to have a child we needed to support at our ages you can imagine what all has come from that.

First off, sorry to hear about your situation and I hope things are a lot better now.
The amount of time to make money really depends on the individual and their niche. For me, I made my first sale by month 3 and made a full-time income within my first year. Mind you I worked my butt off and focused on building my business.
You will not make crazy amounts of money overnight, but this is one of the few that will make you serious money online. It is very much possible to make money with the free version, but that goes hand in hand with what the premium membership offers as you are going to need help, support, and all the tools.
You will not make a few hundred right from the start as this is a business that needs to grow. The first month is really all about building your foundation so you won’t be doing any selling just yet.
Whether you want to make money right away or not, you’ll be kicking yourself on the butt 6 months down the line knowing you could’ve started something that could make you money over and over again with such a small investment.
Definitely get back into your account and at the very least get trained and apply what is taught. Get rid of the make money fast mentality and build something that will payoff eventually.
There is no get rich quick type program so push that idea to the side and build your income from the ground up. For those of you who are still trying to find that easy way out, I hate to break it to ya, but there is none.

Your English is actually not too bad, but if you use a tool like Grammarly it will show you how to word things the right way and all that good stuff. It will teach you to sell tangible, digital, or any product that can be sold online, but not from your home. No packing, no shipping, and no storing anything. Every transaction is done through the buyer and the affiliate program you are signed up with. So when you sell something from Amazon, everything happens on their end and you just get a commission for what was sold.

The time it takes to make money is dependent on a bunch of things. From the niche you choose, to the individual, it will all depend on most especially your work ethic. It took me about 3 months to make my first sale, but I was actually expecting longer.
The thing about the way this whole thing works is that it is not about when you make your first $1, but rather about building a business that will make you money over and over and over again, with the increase in income due to your efforts.

Now WA does use Paypal to purchase your membership, but getting paid would be done through the different programs you are affiliated with and they will pay you in different ways depending on what they use. In most cases, Paypal is the preferred choice of payment.

There is actually a lot of ways to monetize that niche. You can get into headphones, instruments, sound docks, and even rap which is a very profitable niche. Music is still a bit broad, and you can see how I just narrowed it down to an even more targeted niche. Even at that, you can still go further! It may seem like you can’t find a niche, but you will learn more about that once you get in to WA.

Im dismayed. Asians need to pay before to access your program. So it isn’t FREE at all for beginners.
There are several countries that aren’t able to get the free membership Hon and that’s because of the high rate of fraud. Sorry about that, but there are a lot of people that go premium right away because it’s just a really good program. If it makes you feel better, I didn’t get anything for free when I first found WA and I had to pay up front to see anything on the site. It was well worth it though and I don’t regret anything.

Thanks for the comment! WA has everything you need to run an online business, but yes, you would have to buy your domain and autoresponder. You can actually purchase your domain on the WA site, which also can be done through their credit system, which is absolutely a great addition. Unlike before, when we had to get domains on Godaddy and other sites and then have it transferred to WA.
The primary focus of your business would be to do keyword research and create content around those keywords, which will ultimately get you ranked in the search engines, which of course means traffic.
WA provides great training on content creation as well as other tools to get your posts to get ranked in the search engines, which is another great feature that WA has.
WA members most likely choose the work from home niche because they are probably stuck on picking a niche when they first start, but that is only by choice. As far as other member’s sites, you can see some on their profiles, if you’d like to see them, but some people keep them off their profiles so other’s can’t see them.
There are many members that have other sites and some don’t even say anything, but they are pushing over $10k/month with other niches. This thing works man, and you will make it online with WA. Give the free membership a try and you will learn everything within the first few lessons. You’ll be fine man, the trick it to just get started.
I have second series of questions:
What exactly is the business model? There are too many scams out there and they remind me of the South Park episode with the underwear gnomes:
“Step one: steal underwear! Step two: I don’t know what step 2 is… Step three: Profit!!!”
In other words the gnomes didn’t know how to do all the things in between that would cause them to make a profit. I don’t like vague examples so can you walk us through how someone could make money?
How is this different from starting a product review website on one’s own and hoping it gets traffic? I also understand that affiliate marketing is involved. If that is the case, the people first one the site make extra money off the backs of the last to join. Is this correct? If it is, where is the incentive for newbies to join if others will make money off the backs of newbies?
I would love to hear your answers and would also like to know which websites you have that are part of this program. I have two Master’s degrees as well as work experience at some of the best tech companies in the United States. I am staying home with small children and don’t like my time wasted by scams. So can you answer all of my questions as well as explain to those of us who are detail oriented the nuts and bolts of the business model?
I will give you an example of what I am asking:
Let’s say I am a fan of X brand of shampoo. Would I set up a site reviewing x brand of shampoo and then have a way for consumers to click a link through my site to buy the shampoo? And if this is the case, who takes the payment and who gets a cut of products sold? Is it me and the company OR is it me, a bunch of other people who joined before me, the owners of wealth affiliate, and the shampoo company? How much are the commission cuts etc and how are they paid out?

As far as the business model is concerned, they TEACH you how to create your own business website around a specific niche and then you will build out content (even shampoo) around that topic, which will then be found by people who are already looking for that type of information in the first place.
It is just YOU and the company. No one else. You make the sales, the company gets their cut and you get yours and that is it. I don’t get a commission from your work and no one on WA does either.
Now what WA is…it is a site that teaches you how to do everything I just explained as well as the opportunity to interact with other people doing the same exact business you are doing.
No one is competing with anyone as we all have different niches, which is why you will get nothing but the best help in the same type of business that everyone on that site is doing. There is absolutely NO RECRUITING here, which is another plus.

The reason I ask is because there are many bogus schemes that write someone a check, but the check never clears the bank. Does Wealth Affiliate pay its members via a means that is guaranteed?
WA doesn’t pay its members unless you are apart of their affiliate program. What WA teaches you, is how to create a site, become affiliates with sites like Amazon, Ebay, etc, and then they write you a check or whatever method they offer to pay you. The check will clear the bank and if you choose direct deposit for some, the money will be there when they say it’s going to be there. It all depends on what sites and companies that you become affiliated with that will determine your method of pay Sarah.

Yeah sorry about that Olanrewaju. Some countries are not supported due to a high fraud rate coming from these specific countries. For some people that still want to join, they can do so but only if they go premium. That’s an option if you are serious about joining.

Where are you from Tony? There are some countries that aren’t allowed for the free membership, due to a high amount of fraud and people trying to game the system. You can still join, but premium would be your only way around that. Sorry about that man, but that’s just their policy.
Interested, but a little confused. When I join WA and create my niche, where will the products I want to sell come from? A dropshipper, etc.? And what are the other out of pocket costs are associated with acquiring/selling these niche products? Just want to know what to expect. Thanks!
The products will come from the company you become affiliated with and isn’t about drop shipping. You simply signup to their affiliate program and get your own links to promote their products. There are no fees to signup with any of the companies and there are no other out of pocket costs for selling any of their products. You get the link, sell the product, and get a commission.
Of course there’s more to it than just getting links and trying to get people to buy things, which is what Wealthy Affiliate will teach you. And in regards to WA, there are no other costs either. Hope this helps Crystal!

Hello John. This is funny as I came upon this review from being sent to a link to look into another program from a lady on facebook. Their program would cost me over 2k to get in to learn how to earn online income. Im finding organizations are not devulging all information openly. I have lost money as well. Everything is so saturated too. Ive also attempted direct sales w/recruiting downlining. Problem is found these are saturated markets and social media marketing saturated. Im a widowed mom and limited income determined to earn online because know some people are doing it. I want to be raising my daughter not using daycares to raise her and freedom to work from anywhere so can take her places.

I fully agree the pay membership is low for training. Knowledge is powerful. Once get my hands on something legit will run with it. I currently have a website/blog. Does WA only assist me when I purchase a site or transfer a domain to their hosting? Or will I learn how to drive traffic to my current website and how to monetize it without having to pay for WA’s hosting?
WA is really an all in one affiliate marketing site so you can use it for one or the other or of course both. You can learn how to do everything related to making money online with your current site and I have actually done that before until I actually realized that WA’s hosting service was a lot better than the one I was using. You will learn for sure Andrew, so go for it!
How long does it take to start making money? Does the $50 a month pay for itself right away?
It will definitely not pay itself off right away, but do remember that you are paying for everything that WA has to offer. From the building, hosting and maintenance of your site, to the education and support, that is what you sill be paying for. Every single member runs their own business and they are really in competition with themselves and no one else, which is why everyone is willing to help you.
The making money part really depends on the person and the niche they choose. This is a business you are building, so even if it takes you a couple of months to make back that $50, just know that it will only grow from that point on. For me, it took me 3 months before I made that first sale, but that was all I needed to show me that this thing actually worked. If I can make $1 I knew I could make $10 and so on.
I can promise you that you will not find a better program than this Halla so I do recommend you at least create a free starter account and see what they are about. If you don’t like it, just continue on with life like you never came across this. I hope this answers your question Halla.

Why did you cancel? lol. You get your free membership for as long as you want. Now if you do upgrade, you can’t go back to being a free member. Try accessing your account again and see if you can get back in. I’m pretty sure you can.

You can do it from anywhere in the world Infiniya as long as you have a computer and an internet connection, which I’m guessing you have. You will be creating your own website and you definitely don’t have to be good at writing. Just like you, I was worried about writing, but all I wanted was to finally make money online. Just like anything else, I got better over time. Being that I built my site around things I am interested in, the “writing” part was not so much of a task. You will get better the more you do it, so don’t let that stop you from anything. There are many tools that allow your visitors to convert it from English to whatever language or vise versa, but I think it would be better to have it start off in English as that will be your main audience. I’m on the go at the moment, but I hope this helps!
Great review on the Wealthy Affiliate. I’m glad I signed up and can see now the long term benefits of this program. It does take work but worth the effort. Probably the only online entity that teaches you the right way with no hard upsells or hype.

Hi John I came across your post while looking about mlm companies and job killer. I’m very interesting in WA. I think I will give it a try but before I sign up I have some questions that I would like to ask you.
1. If this really can bring an income from affiliate marketing from your own experience and from people that you know if I will put in 20 hours/week to work on it how much money do you think I could make in a month or a year from one website?

The way affiliate marketing works is not like most people think. There is no given timeframe as to when you will make money and there is no specific amount of time that is needed. We all do things differently and everything here can be done whenever you want to.
You are going to be building out your site constantly and consistently, which is what will lead to you making money. If you follow the training and apply what is taught, you can and will build a business that will make you more money than you think. The trick is to not focus on the money, but to focus on building out your site. The money will come so don’t worry about that part.

Okay; so there seem to be quite a few ‘real’ comments and replies on this site. Not to be the Doubting Thomas; I want to see just how really real you are. I’m not even going to get in the real talk with you but I will tell you about business and your starting capital. We all know that it isn’t going to cost you $100 to start a real business, it just doesn’t work that way. I once owned a bar and that not only cost me thousands of dollars, but it also gave me the biggest headaches ever.

No worries Alexandria. With affiliate marketing, you don’t do any actual selling or shipping, which is another great thing about the whole business. When you become an affiliate with other sites like Amazon for example, you will be sending these “shoppers” to their site due to your recommendation or whatever reason you gave them. Whatever they do on that site is all on Amazon.
Now whatever they do buy (even if it is not that product you talked about) you will get a commission no matter what the product is. So even if they were looking for a shoe and bought a flatscreen TV, you get paid for both. Make sense?
You will learn all of this in the first few lessons, which you actually get as a free starter member. Just create a free account and you will see how everything is done. No credit card required, so just take advantage of the free stuff they have to offer. If you like it, then continue. That’s all there is to it.

As far as affiliate marketing is concerned, yes. However, there are other ways to make money within your site, but it all depends on what your plans are. You can make money by putting ads on your site and having someone click on them or you can even make money by getting people to signup for another program. Again, it all depends on how you want to do things.
I know that WA is an online affiliate training facility. Could the training and web site also be used to sell my own products from my eBay and Etsy stores?
You can definitely use it to sell your own products as it is designed to show you how to get traffic to your own site. You can sell them as an affiliate, or as the actual seller. Just signup to the starter membership and you will learn exactly how money is made with WA.

The sad part about all this is the scams offer the highest commissions, but I am not in the business to promote them. Yup, no recruiting here. You see my friend, you can really direct anyone to ANY product even MLMs, but what WA teaches is what makes it absolutely amazing. So thank goodness I am only out $3 on THAT scheme, the same girl who conned me into trying this CASH COW ?, *now changed the name of the group to 1MILLION FAST and it’s basically the same thing, just that LOOPHOLE they needed, not to get out of their troubles, but to continue taking PPL’S money and thus, only CREATING even MORE trouble for themselves! You don’t see any WA members trying to tell you how this can change your life because everyone runs THEIR OWN business and no one is trying to make money for getting you to join. You can earn just from the starter membership Munauar, just as long as you applied what is taught, as the premium membership is for those who are really going to take this serious. What you learn from the starter membership is exactly how you will make money online, but the premium membership will show you tons of different ways you can improve your online business. I am just like you and been scammed for many times . I left the work place because the job I had was too physical with my health issues. First of all, sorry to hear about your savings. I have lost a couple thousand dollars myself and if it wasn’t for Wealthy Affiliate I probably would’ve lost a lot more. There are just so many “opportunities” out there and it’s really hard to believe what even works. Although I can’t save everyone from falling for scams, I do my best to help as many people as I can. Hey Cate, let me answer your questions for you real fast.
1. This will definitely work for you, no doubt about that.
2. There are many ways to get paid, but it all depends on who you become affiliated with. Some vendors use Paypal and some just do it old school and send you a check. It all depends on who you signup with.
3. You can do this with even just 2 hours out of your day, it is really up to you. Most people spend about 99% of the time on FB and whatnot so you can’t count that as “working”. I spend about 2 hours a day now and that’s about it.

That’s actually the same problem most people have Iqbal so you are not alone. No one wants to put in the work and effort that is needed to make a solid income online and most just signup to Wealthy Affiliate but still keep looking for that push button program that will spit out money daily. Here’s a tip. IT DOESN’T EXIST! Get back into WA and all you really have to do is get trained, apply what is taught, and make money. I mean, it’s completely free to signup, so I can see how people just signup and push it to the “I’ll do that later” pile. This site works my friend, so get back on board and make it happen!

It should give you the option to go premium if you can’t create a free account, right after you signup. What did it tell you after you signed up? Did it not give you the option to upgrade?

I actually found WA 5 years ago and did absolutely nothing! I only took action last year, so you can say that I have been with them for a little over a year now. I am not doing MLM, although I have tried about 5 of them. Had some success, but that lasted only until my downlines figured out that MLM wasn’t for them. Then of course that left me with nothing.I now do online marketing full-time and yes, I learned what I know with WA. I hope that answers your questions CJ.

Sorry about that man, but because of fraud, some countries aren’t allowed to get the free trial. You can still go premium, but you won’t get the discount my friend. Most people just go premium because of this problem, but it’s really up to you.

I just want to thank you for putting forth the time and effort to educate us on what WA is all about. I, like everyone else here, have spent endless hours online searching for a way to make an income online. I am so tired of looking for jobs and not getting hired or even responses and not because I am not highly educated or qualified, it’s because of the tremendous competition and influx of unemployed people!! And creditors don’t grant grace with there is no income to pay them. I have literally spent endless hours looking at various ways to work at home, googling to see if each online program is legit or not and of course, most are. I’ve spent too much exhausting time listening to 30 minute presentations to come to the end of how much it would cost. You have represented this program so well and the fact that the owners of WA are presenting it free to start with speaks volumes. You can make your site in any language you choose, just remember what market you are going to target though. You can always work on your site with your own language and then have it translated into English also, so that might be a better route for you Elena.

To me, there is no niche too competitive. WA has a “bootcamp” that is designed to promote this specific niche and it will show you how there are soooo many ways to promote the home based business niche and the absolute best ways to get very targeted and quality traffic to your site. I am however involved with a couple of affiliate programs that have products they sell and I promote to make sales. Would I be able to sell THOSE items on my website with WA?
Most definitely Kim. I don’t own a single product and I “sell” them on my sites, but of course I do it how it’s taught with WA, so there’s no direct selling or dealing with customers. My site does all the work for me!

Hi John- I have a wordpress website for retail home and garden decor, is this something that would be a good fit? WA is the first site I know of to offer something to help me with my existing business, which is struggling due to cost of quality targeted advertising. I am completely out of money and a business loan is still a month or so out, I have tried a few other affiliate programs and they all have me doing for THEM what I should be doing for my own site. Yeah there are just too many programs out there that really do nothing good for you and also want you to promote them to make money. WA is nothing like that. They show you how to build your own business, which you control and promote the stuff you want.
You also don’t need some type of big loan or a lot of money to start your own online business either. WA is a complete steal with the absolute best value out there. If someone like me can make money online, anyone can.
They also give a completely free trial, so you get to see what you’re getting yourself into, which is very rare to find in this line of work. The best part about all this is you have me and others that are making money online to help you, so you really have nothing to lose.

I have read your post and sort of get the process. I read the “niche” blog so i get that but I don’t quite get what the content of the site you create should be. Is it a blog that you talk about things and then post links to these things or what? When thinking of a niche should it be something that there are related things to sell? Can you expand on exactly what is on the site first and how affiliate ads are segued onto it? Can i only post ads for things related to my site topic? etc etc… Do you get my question?

The content on your site would be on anything related to your niche. It is a blog where you can post links to “these things” as well. There’s almost a product for every niche, but I do suggest you pick something that you can expand on. For example, I have a site on “remote controlled cars”, so I talk about RCs and I have links and ads on them. You definitely want to post ads related to your niche my friend because you wouldn’t want to be on a dog site and have ads for RCs right? All these questions will be answered in the first training within WA, so you’ll get a better understanding of how everything is done man. I hope this helps!
The only thing that separates WA from empower network and all the others is the free version, but without the premium price your website is limited and you wouldn’t make any money without upselling to premium so I guess it is the same.

I definitely disagree with you on that one Michelle. I was (well still am) a member of the Empower Network and yes I went “all in”. What did I get? A bunch of marketing videos telling me how much I would lose out if I didn’t upgrade to the next level, which of course made me go all in. They teach you how to sell the same exact overpriced marketing videos that you just got for thousands of dollars. The minute I got to the end of the training (which took months!) I knew I was in something I didn’t want to be apart of.
I’m guessing EN is still around? I just can’t promote something that I know only teaches you how to promote what I just bought, especially when I know most people can’t afford it. I mean, who tells someone to max out their credit cards and borrow money from other people to go all in? That is some of the biggest bunch of BS I’ve ever had someone tell me to do, in order to get people to go all in.
How much would I get if someone joins through my link? Pennies, Michelle. Pennies. How much would I get if someone joined through my Empower Network Link? Thousands! Now why don’t I promote EN? Because there is nothing worth even $500 on that site. I promote Wealthy Affiliate because they teach you how to make money online and not by promoting them. Being that I’ve been scammed not only by EN, but by Neucopia (now shutdown) and many others.
Rather than investing thousands more, I went the cheapest route and signed up with WA. This little site is what taught me how to make money online without recruiting anyone, so yes, I owe it all to them and not the Empower Network. I also do MLM, but do you see me trying to promote it? No, because it’s not for everyone. This program right here will help anyone make money online and yes you get a free trial, so you can’t beat that.
In the end, if it’s EN that you want to promote because you’re trying to get back your loss, then go for it. I still wish you the best Michelle and I hope you do good with whatever it is that you do. Good luck and thanks for sharing!
first off I am not promoting EN I too was a member John Mroz was my sponsor and I still get Quality training from him, but that company was a joke. I was also a member of WA What you get for the free version is about what my 9 year old already knows about IM, and if you don’t think drawing people in with the free(limited) version with the idea that a large % will upsell(cause that is what it is) to the premium service then your as bad as some of the products you review.
I am not saying that you aren’t promoting a good product, WA is the lessor of hundreds of companies trying to build these online communities(for the betterment of the people) when the reality is Kyle & Carson To their credit are getting Paid.
One last thing nowhere in your (honest review) did I see any mention of Jaaxy which is a big component of helping the wandering, struggling email marketer. yet the minuet I joined I was pushed towards getting it, another free(but limited) resource with an upsell.

So am I promoting a good product or not? You’re confusing yourself. There is no “up-sell” Michelle. It’s a free trial + membership, which will show you how things are done. If you don’t like it, you continue on with whatever it is that you are doing.
Kyle & Carson get paid? Well I’d hope so! Creating your own product with all the training and setting up of a site is no joke. So if you think they shouldn’t get paid, there’s something wrong.
Jaaxy is not an up-sell, but it is offered to help you IF you want. They don’t tell you that you NEED it if you want to make more money, like other programs do. There is a keyword tool that comes with the site that does the job, so why would you NEED Jaaxy? As an online marketer, you will need other tools and you will need to invest if you have other things in mind that you want to accomplish.
Why would I mention Jaaxy in my review if it is not needed? So what am I not open about? When you get help from me within WA, I tell everyone what they need to make money online and one of them is help, not some fancy tool.
Here’s the thing about owning a site (what is taught within WA). You get to control how and where you make money. Whether I’m telling you about a BBQ grill or scams online, it is all done the same way. I can tell you that product X is legit just to make money like all the other scam review sites, but why would I do that? EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT i review gives me the “opportunity” to make money, but I don’t. I promote LEGITIMATE products and that is it. WA just so happens to be at the top right now.
Do me a favor. Can you please show me something better? If you can do that, I’ll personally test it myself and if it beats this, I can promote it just for you. Other than that, I don’t get what you’re trying to say.
I am not trying to say anything, but I have read through a lot of your reviews and I am going to guess that a bulk of your online income comes from the WA commission program.
You can deny it and offer proof but I have been in IM for along time and your site is geared towards funneling people to WA. and that is fine but almost ALL of your reviews have pro’s and con’s except WA(there is nothing wrong with WA?)
I like WA but it has problems too and when I come across a site with so much WA love it takes me back to the early days of EN find at least one con about WA and I will continue to visit your site(I may even buy a product through one of your links)
I know it sounds super biased, but the only problem I can think of, is that it can be overwhelming. This is what I experienced in the beginning, but now I know how to do everything so easily. For example, when I first started, I had to put a note on my calendar to “learn wordpress”. I look back at that note and I am truly amazed at how much I’ve grown as an online marketer.
Just like with anything else though, you have to learn it, even if it’s a new job. But once you learn how online marketing really works, it’s a skill that you can use with many other aspects of the online marketing world. The best part about all this, is that you can scale your business and make more money, not like a regular job that gives you a $1 raise every year.
Build out a site for 2 years and I can promise you that you will make more money online than you do at your current job. Most people don’t understand how all this works, but if you take the time to learn everything, the skills are priceless.

WA has its premium membership JC, which is how they will get paid. The training focuses on promoting other products, which is how you will make your money. You pay for the lessons, they teach you how to make money.
So do we have to buy the course from them? Or just premium membership?
They will teach you how to do everything. As far as the making money part, you will become an affiliate with whatever company it is that you want to promote (free) and then you will sell their products, which will in turn pay you a commission.
