If you haven’t already heard of Youtube sensation, “Ryan” from Ryan Toys Reviews, I think this might want to read this, especially if you’re thinking about starting a vlog or doing any type of making money online.
This now 6 year old got his start with YouTube videos when he was just three years old, thanks to his mom who quit her job as a chemistry teacher to focus on maintaining their YouTube channel.
The channel started with simple videos but gained some serious momentum after a video of Ryan opening a giant Easter egg went viral.
From that point on, their subscriber list has at least doubled every single month and to date they have over 12 million subscribers.
So we all know that this kid does nothing but open toys, plays with them, or does some type of challenge.
We also know that he has a lot of subscribers and billions of views on his channel alone but that’s about where everything stops as far as how all that money was made.
I’m sure you know that Ryan does none of the behind the scenes work but you have probably seen some YouTube earnings calculator that gives you sneak peak at what each subscriber is worth and all that jazz but there is a lot of stuff done differently with this specific channel that makes them one of a kind.
I mean, if you even see the video up above, you will see that they don’t do any crazy editing like you see with all these other fancy channels but besides some sound effects and some background music.
That alone should show you that there is a lot more to things than meets the eye, so let’s go through the backdoor and see why they are so successful.
Behind the Toys
$1 million dollars a month.
Think about that for a second and really understand what I just said.
One..million…fricken…dollars…in ONE MONTH!
That is some crazy earnings and as an online marketer myself, I can’t help but appreciate everything that I know is going on behind the scenes.
The first thing I noticed when these guys came crossed my path was the fact that Ryan’s mom quit her job as a chemistry teacher to focus on running their channel.
That alone can show you the type of person she really is and the mentality that she has, which got them to where they are today.
Sure, Ryan is adorable and kids can’t wait to see their buddy, but the genius behind things is what has me saying wow.
Great job mom and dad!
They Know What They’re Doing
The next thing I noticed is that they completely understand some good old keyword research.
Just like you would if you were to make money blogging, you need to know what types of keywords to target and these guys know their stuff.
Most people try to do the math and see what each subscriber is worth but Ryan’s channel has a ton of organic traffic that they get daily, which adds to everything not related to subscribers.
They know SEO and they know how to target their market.
Hard Work & Consistency
For some, filming your kid, posting the video and all that stuff will sound really easy to do at first.
Then they find themselves posting every other week and ultimately giving up.
This amounts to a lot of failed YouTube channels and another opportunity for the hard chargers to make money.
Ryan’s channel posts a video almost every single day and that is a clear indication that they understand what it takes to make it with vlogging and/or blogging.
They don’t use any shortcuts and they remain consistent, which is very much the same thing every other successful online entrepreneur does.
Conclusion
Hard work and the right mentality will always take you places.
Do you really think I would tell anyone looking to make it in the online world to become a chemistry teacher or some other regular career that anyone can do?
Of course not.
For anyone looking to make it in business and most especially within the online space, you need to understand that without the right mentality, you will not make it.
If you think that your J-O-B is more important than uploading and editing that video then you flat out will not make it online.
Now if you have that par down and you aren’t willing to put in the hard work that is necessary, again, you will not make it.
Ryan Toys Reviews is definitely the exception but even if you apply the core principles and make just 1% of what these guys make, don’t you think that will beat the pay from any job out there?
