Too many people start an online business with one thing in mind and one thing only. How do I make money! I have to admit that I was one of those that only wanted to know how money was made and the easiest way I could get my hands on some.
That’s not how it works and I don’t care who tells you that you can make money overnight and make hundreds of dollars every single day with “their system”. Today I want to show you how to make money online by doing some awesome keyword research.
First of All, What are Keywords?
In regards to online marketing, keywords are very, very important and a must if you want to make the most out of your online efforts. Keywords are nothing more than key words or phrases that people type into Google to find more information on something specific.
Why Keywords are so Important
As an online marketer, you want to find keywords that people are searching for online and you want to get your article to rank on the first page and ultimately, the # 1 spot.
Without that ranking, you won’t get any traffic unless you pay for it. No traffic means no money and I think that’s what your goal is right?
Why People Don’t Get Ranked
There are too many of you out there that try and target very competitive keywords simply because they have a lot of traffic. More traffic equals more money right?
If you are completely new to the online world, let me just tell you that if you think you’re going to outrank any of these established blogs, then you might want to find another profession.
This is Where the Keyword Tool Comes Into Play
When you do keyword research there are a couple of things you might want to look for to get ranked and of course to get traffic. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of the phrase “low hanging fruit”.
This is nothing more than choosing keywords that are being searched, but not very many people have written an article on it. These are the types of keywords you want to look for.
What You Need to Look Out for
When writing an article, you always want to know a couple of things before you get started so you don’t waste your time writing something that won’t get you paid.
- Traffic – If you’re writing about something that doesn’t even get any traffic, then you’re just wasting your time.
- Low competition – If you’re trying to write an article that has 90 million people competing for it, then once again, you’re wasting your time.
- SEO indicator – If you’re writing about something that is not great for SEO, you might want to write about something else.
Here is a screenshot of what you want to look out for when doing some proper keyword research. If you don’t know any of these things, then most likely you’re wasting your time and won’t make any money.
The Keyword Tool
Most people won’t pay for a good keyword tool and it is also a big reason why they are stuck or eventually quit with online marketing.
There are tools like Jaaxy that I use and it gets me all the info I need when looking for my next article to write for my blog. There are many other keyword tools but I prefer Jaaxy for many reasons.
- Free Trial (get 30 free searches here)
- Very easy to use
- Awesome features
- Low monthly cost ($19 pro version)
I use this tool every single day and I really couldn’t function without it. Give Jaaxy a try and see what it can do for your online business. I hope you have learned a thing or two about keyword research and hopefully you can be a little more productive in your efforts to making money online.
Feel free to leave any questions you may have below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
