Name: My Pay Pot
Website: www.mypaypot.com
Owner: Unknown
Price: Free
Overall Rating: SCAM!
At least once a week someone approaches me about one of these get the job scams and My Pay Pot is the latest. This review will show those of you why you need to stop posting “proof” that you got paid so that these scammers can can get shutdown.
There are literally hundreds of these sites that exist and are being created due to the “I have nothing to lose” mentality of people desperately looking to make money online.
There are more than enough red flags on this site to let people know that this is a scam, but with the fact that it is free to join, it leaves people at the very least giving it a try.
Before you even create that free account of yours, I want to show you exactly how this scam operates so that you can save yourself the heartache and time.
Read further into this review and you will see why you see real people claiming that this is legit and how they are showing you this so called “proof”.
What is My Pay Pot?
In a nutshell, a scam.
A scam that claims you will make money by simply joining and getting others to do the same.
There is no indication of who owns the site and there is no income disclaimer or any real directions on what you need to do.
According to the site, you can make $25 just for signing up and you can do small tasks from which you will be paid for upon approval.
You will also make $10 for every new person you bring into the site, which is why you see everyone and their mothers promoting this thing like crazy.
There are currently 128,000 employees and they have paid out over 205 million dollars to its “employees”.
You can also see recent payments on their home page but I will get into that a little later into this review.
How My Pay Pot Works
Once you get signed up to My Pay Pot, you are then allowed to do small tasks that include answering simple questions that take like a minute.
After that, you are credited with a very generous amount and not just $1, that not even these get paid to take survey sites can cough up.
On top of getting paid just to bring people in and doing simple tasks, you also get a $25 bonus just for signing up with My Pay Pot.
You can get paid through check, money order, Paypal, or Payza and you can expect to get paid from the 24th – the 30th of each month following the month you were approved.
There is a minimum threshold of $300 before you can cash anything out, but that’s about all you need to do to make money with My Pay Pot.
Pretty simple, right?
Well not exactly and I want to explain why.
What to Lookout For
If you haven’t already noticed, there are so many grammatical errors on the site and that alone should be an indication of what type of people are running this scheme.
The signup bonus of $10 is completely insane and with all the companies I’ve reviewed in my online career (besides these scams) I have never seen anyone give even $5 just for signing up simply because no one has that type of money to throw away.
Then there’s the anti-cheat nonsense they have on their FAQ page, which is nothing but a fake to make you think you’re on some kind of legitimate site but that’s nothing but a front.
There is no income disclaimer, which is very much required for any site that deals with money, so obviously these guys are running some kind of shady operation.
About the My Pay Pot “Proof”
There are so many people showing that they got paid from My Pay Pot when they really didn’t make a single penny and it’s beyond irritating.
If you’ve seen someone’s proof on Facebook or wherever they posted it, please ignore it and maybe even unfriend them.
What they are showing is a screenshot from their back office, but it never hit their Paypal account and they didn’t even receive a check either.
My Pay Pot is Nothing but a Scam
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but this site is nothing but a complete waste of time and not a single person online is making money.
I know you may feel you have nothing to lose and may also find the little tasks to be fun especially with your account growing by the minute, but these scammers will not pay you.
There are many (and I mean many) other sites just like this and they all have the same website template, same claims, with the only thing different being the website name.
Here are some of the other get the job scams, in case you don’t believe me.
I can’t keep up with these scams, but if you see anything that looks like My Pay Pot, don’t get your hopes up and put that time into something that actually works.
My Recommendation
With my experience in the online space, I have tried these get the job scams and many others like it.
I have put in thousands of dollars, just to get burned until I ran across a site called the Wealthy Affiliate.
There was no promise to make money doing nothing, but they did have a business model that made complete sense.
Within a year I was able to make all the money I lost from these scammers as well as replace all income sources and finally work from home full-time.
If you want to make money online, do know that it is going to require you to work and it isn’t going to happen by doing simple tasks.
I hope this My Pay Pot review has helped you not only avoid another scam, but maybe even give you a little knowledge on how these schemes work.
If you’ve been taken for a ride by this or any others like it, we’d like to hear your experience so please share it in the comments section below.
