The question of “can you really make money taking surveys online?” will always come about because of someone either promoting a product or an ad you may have seen.
Or both.
With the start of my career as an online marketer, I couldn’t avoid these get paid to take survey sites and of course I gave into some of them.
Okay, maybe too many of them.
With all the crazy figures I saw, I immediately saw some red flags.
I knew you could make money doing little surveys here and there, but there were people showing thousands of dollars, which really got me curious.
So Can You Really Make Money Taking Surveys Online?
But of course.
Making money is not the problem, it is making a lot of it that seemed to be the hardest part.
Maybe back in 1999 could you have made a good chunk of change with one survey, but those days are long gone.
Nowadays, you can expect to make a couple of cents per survey.
But what did you really expect for doing something so simple?
These types of “jobs” have been around for a long time and the only thing that’s changed is what they pay you for doing these surveys.
So Why Would Anyone Promote it?
Because they get paid for it.
I’m not sure how you came across this in the first place, but whoever referred you to the survey site will actually make some money for doing so.
Most of the time, you will have to pay to get started and that is where the affiliate comes in and makes some money.
The owner and its affiliates will be the real winner, while you make your pennies.
You Get What You Put in
I don’t think there is a day that goes by where someone isn’t asking me how to make money online.
Most of the time these people are looking to make some quick cash or wondering if something that seems too good to be true works.
about 100% of the time are these programs a scam or some type of recruiting based scheme and that is why it is really hard to find a legitimate work from home gig.
That’s Why There’s Affiliate Marketing
Remember how I mentioned that these people were making money by showing you these survey sites?
Well that’s exactly what I do for a living and this little job is called affiliate marketing.
The thing is that you can almost promote anything and everything and make money in the process.
Being that I am in this to help people, I will not promote something that I know doesn’t work or will require them to purchase and not give them the chance to make any money.

We all have to start somewhere and for me, I tried taking surveys, recruiting other people into my multilevel marketing business, and flat out falling for scams.
For you, that doesn’t need to happen.
The beauty about affiliate marketing is that you can make money promoting great products and I don’t see why these other marketers feel the need to sell everything.
What’s wrong with introducing a legitimate product?
Why not make it a win/win?
I have been scammed many times and almost every single time it was my fault.
I had this “I have nothing to lose” mentality and that is the biggest reason that I got myself into a hole in the first place.
Giving away money left to right, until I found the one site that didn’t promise me the moon and stars.
We All Go Through the Same Process
Diving into the online world to make money is like everything else in life.
You don’t know what the hell you’re doing and you can’t get around anything unless you learn it.
So you’ll come across the “make $10,000 in your sleep” type ads and all that nonsense, which is how you would even know that there’s money to be made online.
This is also the reason why I thank my first scam called Success With Anthony, because that is what got me looking for ways to make money online in the first place.
Yeah I may have lost some money giving it a try, but it also pushed me to find a legit opportunity.
Along Came the Wealthy Affiliate
After dabbling with different products and coming up empty handed, I just about gave up.
I tried doing all kinds of things and the whole taking surveys deal was probably the only thing making me some type of return.
I made some money here and there, but it was nothing but a waste of time.

I put my head down and started building out my business.
No money, but I was beyond happy with my work.
You Made a Commission!
Seeing an email about my first commission was the biggest step in my online career.
It wasn’t the fact that I made money, but the fact that this thing works.
My other half was wondering what in the world I was so excited about because it was only a dollar, but she didn’t know that this was the start of something special.
So I’m sure you know that after I made that $1, I ended up making my first $100, $1000 and so on.
You see guys, the thing about online marketing is that it’s a scaling type of business.
So if you can make a penny online, there’s always room to make more.

Taking surveys online is a complete waste of time.
