My Flex Job Review
Too many people almost immediately call scam on programs like this and you can’t blame them. There aren’t many legit work from home programs, so it is always wise to do your research (reason you’re here) before joining something like this, especially when you have to pay before you start earning money.
Product Overview
My Flex Job is a work from home program that links you to sites like Netflix, Proactive, and Dell so that you can do some data entry and email verification.
It requires a verification process, which will include a debit/credit card to get started. You can pay with PayPal, but that won’t work with the “verification process”.
Requirements
To “qualify” for these so called jobs, you are going to need to get past a couple of things. Although very simple, it is very unnecessary.
- Show that you can follow simple instructions
- Prove that you’re 18 years old or older
- Install the approved backup software (the tricky part)
The Cost
For most normal people, it’s usually work to get paid right? Not so much the case with My Flex Job. Before we get into how much you can make with this, you will have to cough up some dough.
It is going to cost you$25 to get started. They can tell you all day about how it will be reimbursed as soon as you get in, but there’s always a catch.
They do give you it back in the form of 25000 credits, but you can’t get that until you reach a minimum of $50.
The Pay
My Flex Job claims that you will make up to $23.75 per hour. They also claim that you can make anywhere from $10 to $30 per offer, but it’s more like $5 to $25.
When you get to the part where you have to pay, it will tell you that it is recommended to get one of their higher costing packages, because it will allow you to get more assignments.
Of course this little chart will make you think that you are going to make more doing this than working at an actual job, but it is not as easy as it seems.
Paying for Backup Software
If you’re not familiar with programs like the backup software offered with My Flex Job, you will fall into the trap. You DO NOT need this to “work” with Netflix or any of these survey type sites.
Being that I have a Mac, I was directed to Purifier. Scan and clean my Mac? What in the world does this have to do with the offer at My Flex Job?
Hook Line and Sinker
This is the part where the owner/s of My Flex Job cash in. When you signup for any one of these packages, they will get a cut.
Being that this is some type of membership, you will need to pay this monthly and yup, they will get paid every month.
I can promise you that you will NOT need this software to get signed up with these companies to start making money.
Is My Flex Job a Scam?
People have been making money with these big named companies for a while now and they didn’t need some type of software to do it.
You can “Google” any of these, and do some type of survey or any simple task. They will pay you for this and it is not going to be some type of crazy payday either.
To me, these types of “jobs” are worthless and something you might want to think about before you decide to get involved with.
What to Look Out For
When you come across sites like this, you need to be very cautious as to what to believe and what not to believe.
My Flex Job has its little “testimonial” section and you can see right through them. You can pay people to come up with some bogus lines on sites like Fiverr.com, which will cost you $5.
There are fake testimonials and then the part where you have to pay to get started. Aren’t you looking for a job? Well, you don’t need to pay to get paid.
Final Product Overview
Name: My Flex Job
Website: www.myflexjob.com
Price: $25 + up-sells
Final Verdict: Scam! Along with the fake testimonials, you do not need to pay for some crazy backup software to complete these tasks.
What I Think
These scams are very unnecessary to make money online. You can do stuff like this along with filling out surveys and all you need to do is look for them.
Most of them pay pennies, especially now that everyone and their mothers are doing the same exact thing. Maybe a couple of years ago you could’ve made some good money, but not so much the case these days.
If you want to make money online, you need to try programs like the Wealthy Affiliate. It is not a job, but they will teach you how to create your very own business from home.
I hope you found this review of My Flex Job to be helpful to you and hopefully I have helped you dodge another bullet. I know there are those that think this is the best thing since sliced cheese, so let me have it! Leave your comments below.

Hello, I would like to cancel my subscription to my flex job. I will not be able to continue with this job. I have to take care of my husband with cancer.
Thank you,
Kelly Richardson
You would have to do it on their site Kelly as I am not affiliated with that company.
RE; MyFlexJob Refund How To –
I got my Just Cloud (My PC Backup) refund by chat. They were waiting for me to give up I think, but that wasn’t going to happen! Just keep telling them you need your refund and do it through PayPal not your personal credit card! Good Luck!
I just signed up with My Flex jobs. When it got to the download a backup program I just could not do it. I have got the One Drive cloud if I want it but I do not have anything I care to save to the cloud or any back up system. If I need to save it I will put it on a flash drive. They did the 25 dollar bit. I get back in credits. Then a monthly PC
Backup, was the name of mine, charge to keep it up to date. Did not get to the Debit Card part and I deleted the PC Backup.
I signed up, downloaded the backup software which was justcloud.com (not my pc backup but it’s owned by the same company). Then I copied the header according to instructions but the message from myflexjob was ‘this does not look like a confirmation header.” I could not proceed any further. Then my computer started doing funny things so I uninstalled it. Then I called justcloud and cancelled and am getting a refund. I don’t know if there really was malware – my memory was getting low anyway and when that happens, it does funny things but I cancelled and uninstalled anyway because there is no way I should have gotten that header message when I followed directions exactly.
That’s EXACTLY what happened to me Carol! Exactly.
this just happened to me but i called chase and the will refund my money. this is wrong
Hey I tried to sighn up but it just tells me I’m already in the system. Kinda little fishy if you ask me. I really like the sound of learning how to make my own website and making money with it. I work a full time job that just doesn’t pay enough to pay the bills I would really like to sign up for the program you are talking about but it just won’t let me it says I’m already in the system do you got anyideas or any suggestions so I can get started with this thing??
If you’re talking about Wealthy Affiliate, you can get signed up here. Let me know if that doesn’t work and I will see what I can do.
Can somebody please advice me how to get my $25 put back on my card as this is a SCAM!!!!!!!
how do I delete this did pay but nervous now?
Thanks for the heads up! Luckily I am the ultimate skeptic and searched first. This wealthy affiliate place though, and I apologize in advance but like I said I’m always a skeptic, but would you please explain how that works, how much you can make, and somehow assure us that this is not a scam too? I’m a software developer by trade but was taken out of work for medical reasons. But this Ltd stuff just isn’t cutting it. I’m drowning. I need to make some extra money asap but I can’t be paying anyone upfront first. My tech skills are now outdated that fast. I plan to catch that all up but that takes time and I need something like 10 mins ago. :/
Sorry to hear about that Kelly. In regards to Wealthy Affiliate, it is definitely not a scam. I was finally able to make money online with it and let’s just say that I make more now than I did with any other job I held. I know you’re looking to make money asap, but it isn’t going to happen with WA. It is a building process and it does take time. There really is no program out there that gives instant gratification if that’s what you’re looking for online.
If you are looking to build your own business and secure your future, then WA will work for you. If you’re looking for a quick buck, it’s not gonna happen. I can tell you this much though. If you work on your business within a year, I can promise you that you will make more money than you ever thought. If of course you put in the time and effort. A year is not a long time and if you don’t take action now, you’ll be saying the same thing come this time next year. It’s really up to you.
Wealthy Affiliate is just one of the very few legitimate programs out there that has worked for me. There is nothing better and I can promise you that. Don’t forget that you can signup completely free and give the program a test drive. If you don’t like it, just quit. Click here to see a full review of Wealthy Affiliate.
Thank you so much I almost fell for this too! I always look at the comments before I buy anything online or do anything so I was glad I checked into this! Again thank you!
Good job on doing your research Renee! What sucked for me is that I never did my research when I started my career online, which led to me dumping thousands of dollars into these scammer’s bank accounts. If it wasn’t for the Wealthy Affiliate, I really don’t know where I’d be. Good job again Renee and I hope things are going well on your end.
I almost fell for this myself but when I did the orientation and heard about the “required” download of a software for $25 I put on the brakes really fast. Did some research and, sure enough, its a scam. I’ve been looking for a work from home job for years. But all seem to be scams. Luckily I haven’t fallen for one yet but came close this time.
THE ONLY real job online I know of is Alpineaccessjobs.com I’m NOT trying to promote them. I’ve never worked for them. But its the only one I know of and it may help someone who is on this site looking for a stay at home job. I actually do know someone who works for them. She gets paid $9.50 per hour. 1st of all you are not guaranteed a job. You have to apply and get hired. The thing with them is…yes, you are working from home but, it is NOT flexible hours. You have a schedule just like with a job outside of the home and are required to be online and working during those hours 5 days a week. They do offer different shifts ( between 9 am- 1 am EST) but that didn’t help me much because I need to be flexible due to family obligations (I need a job that will let me work late at night or in between running kids to appointments or practices). They will provide you with the computer/laptop to do the job to ensure you have good equipment. EVERYONE starts out on the phones. You MUST have a landline telephone (no cellphones or internet phones like Vonyage or Magic Jack. Again this is an issue for me since I use Magic Jack instead of a landline) and be able to receive calls all day. And you MUST have high speed internet (DSL or Cable). After a while you can be a customer service or help desk tech through their “chat” type customer service (no more phone work) but you have to work your way up to that. So, it IS real work but isn’t real flexible. My friend really likes it but said for people like me who need more flexibility it may not work.. But, if its something you may be interested in you can check them out.
Thank you for posting this! I was just about to sign up & something told me to double check that this wasn’t a scam. I knew it seemed too good to be true. You saved me a lot of hassle.
I fell for this yesterday and I am posting on every anti-scam blog I can. What people do NOT realize is that the bogus data entry job is only the tip of the iceberg.
The WORST scam is the $25 download from My PC Backup. If you search ‘My PC Backup virus’ you will see that this program is disguised malware.
Between My Flexi Job and My PC Backup they have your credit card number, your date of birth, your address, your middle name . . . If you look on the net you will see many instances of people dealing with My PC Backup having their cards charged again for products they did not buy, being bullied and threatened by the company, etc, etc.
The program itself is malware.
If you fell for this:
1) Cancel the credit card you used to pay the $25 to My PC Backup AT ONCE
2) You must uninstall My PC Backup – go on the net for advice on this. This program is DESIGNED to infect your computer with all sorts. So a straight Uninstall, like it is a legit program, is just the first step.
Check the site malwaretips.com/blog/my pc backup-virus-removal – a search of ‘My PV Backup Virus’ will find this link.
Follow the instructions on that site. There you can download legitimate products to get this off your computer. He suggests running a whole battery of them one after the other. DO SO.
I first scanned with my Avast software I had on my computer. It did NOT detect the traces left by My PC Backup after I unistalled it.
I then downloaded and scanned with the Adware Remove. That detected a number of things – 6 or 7 – on my registry, which I assume came from My PC Backup.
I next dowloaded and ran the JRT – Junkware Removal – that found 2 or 3 more things.
I downloaded and ran Malware Bytes as well, that scan indicated my computer was clean.
I have not run the 4th recommended program, but may do so.
Bear in mind that I uninstalled this program within an hour of buying it. God alone knows how much crap it can put on your computer if left – a day – a week – a month.
This is a very bad scam. Apparently my Flexi Job gets a commission of $100 each for these sign ups with My PC Backup. $100 for $25? How is the other $75 recouped? By scamming you, selling your details to online marketers, making false charges against your credit card, and heaven knows what else.
I wish to update my post to say that the programs I downloaded from malware tips site were not sufficient to rid my PC of this virulent malware I got of My PC Backup.
If you have downloaded My PC Backup it is worth a try to got to the malware tips blog, follow the uninstall instructions there for My PC Backup. Then download the free programs and run them. It MAY work depending on your computer’s own antivirus program. But I believe the chances are good something will be left over.
Today I went to the site of Spywear Hunter 4 – which is reputed to be the best anti-malware software available at present.
It is possible to scan your computer for no charge with this program. However, if it detects malware and you want it removed you need to buy the program – $55 Canadian. This morning Spywear Hunter 4 detected 16 remaining items directly and obviously related to My PC Backup on my computer. There were other suspicious items too – some of which could also have originated with them.
I had to purchase this to get rid of this terrible program I acquired thanks to My Flex Job.
DO NOT leave this My PC Backup on your computer. There are TERRIBLE reviews for it, pages of them at reviewopedia.com
http://reviewopedia.com/ at home/mypcbackup-com-reviews-legit-or-scam
A comment left on Nov 30 2014 indicates that this company can and will attack your computer though this program if they wish to. Many other commenters have been threatened and bribed by My PC Backup.
This is not just a bad program, this is active malware. The commenter of Nov 30 had had his passwords stolen, and much else.
The longer this program is left on your PC the more embedded it will get and the more of your information will potentially be stolen.
My recommendation is not to mess about with this, it is a serious threat both to your PC’s functioning and your information.
Thank you John for all your help! I almost fell for this one too.. I’m glad there are still good helpful people like you around online, to sway the rest of us, whow are trying to make some legitimate money in the right direction..
Thanks again,
Mary
Not a problem MaryBeth! Have you found a legitimate way to make money online?
John, how do you make legitimate money from home? I really need an at home job because I am my Dads caregiver, and I need to make money while still being able to help him.
I create my own sites and market products on there through affiliate marketing. If you are interested, you can learn everything that I know using a program called the Wealthy Affiliate. It is free to signup, so you can see what everything is about before you pay for anything. I hope this helps Michelle, so please do let me know if you need anymore help. Click here to get signed up to Wealthy Affiliate for free so that you can see what they have to offer.
Good morning! I am curious.. Did you find something legit to work from home? I’m been looking for a long time with no luck
There are some reputable work from home jobs. One site that I have used is homejobstop.com. There is a 1 time lifetime fee of something like $12. I know the reply about paying a fee but they are legitimate and they have a good number of listed companies that are hiring. I signed up with them 8 yrs ago. A couple of yrs ago I forgot my password. I emailed them and they emailed me back to reset my password. A site I would recommend.
Yeah there are so many mixed reviews about that one and I actually did one myself a while back. I wouldn’t recommend it, but to each their own. Click here to see my review on Home Job Stop.
Hello John,
Very helpful and much appreciated bit of information. I am also a proud father of 3 boys with a beautiful wife that I would love to be able to spend more time with. We are a one income family at the moment my wife’s a stay@home mom that works a few hours a week at our children’s school. Being a one income family makes it very hard to do anything other than work to try and stay afloat. I’ve searched desperately for a way to break the cycle and am asking if you had any suggestions in to what you were able to do to be able to spend more time with your family without being in poverty.
Hey John how can i get signed up to work with netflix and other companies?
You can become an affiliate with almost any company out there and yes netflix is one of them. Are you familiar with affiliate marketing? You can learn how to do everything here and then you can signup with Netflix’s affiliate program and make money promoting them.
John, THANKS SO MUCH for the heads up. I was extremely skeptical when i first came across this web site, especially after watching those bogus and fake video testimonials. you have affirmed my suspicions, thank you so very much!
Not a problem Gabby! We all fall for a scam here and there and unlike you, I NEVER searched for reviews, lol! Good job on that and I hope you don’t fall for other scams along the way.
Hi John , I read your post to late and now I can’t even log on to start the job. I guess I was one of those suckers. But I really need help finding a work at home job. I am trying to make some money while on maternity leave. So can someone please help me. ccodrington20@yahoo.com
Thanks John for the heads up alert. I was so close of joining too! Again, thanks for the heads up.
Not a problem Lee. There are too many of these programs that pack nothing but hype. Then they have people promote it like it’s the best thing, because of course they would get paid. It’s always the ones that don’t boast about anything that actually do work.
Thanks so much for sharing this. I just filled out the application, they claimed I wasn’t going to have to pay to get started, but I was skeptical of downloading the software. I appreciate you taking the time to warn others.
Not a problem Leslie. There are a bunch of these programs that are ran the same way and most are really just a waste of time and will make most of the money for the company. There are only a few legit programs like this, but you’re really better off investing your time into creating a real online business that can pay you more than just pennies.
Thanks so much John, I almost signed up yesterday. I was skeptical and decided to look at reviews. Thankfully!
This site is bogus and a scam. You download the My PC Backup and it has your referrers addy attached. The processing jobs are not there they are all surveys with free trials and if you break the trial you dont get credit. This site is a scam big time…
Totally agree with you Chad. With everything they have going on with their site, people can’t help but at least give it a try. Too many people try to find the easy way out of things, but if you want to make some real money online, it is going to take some time and dedication. Not to mention, there are only a handful of legit ways to make money online. Thanks for the comment Chad and I hope things are going well on your end.
Hi John, thank you for the information. Beside Netflix affiliate, what other site have come across to work at home?
Well the one that has worked for me is Wealthy Affiliate. I now work from home full-time because of their program and it is still my #1 recommendation up until this day. If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to at least give it a shot. Click here to try Wealthy Affiliate for free!
