If you have yet to hear of MintVine allow me to break it down for you a bit. MintVine is a company that promises to to give you money by earning points to earn cash just by sharing your valuable opinion.
It’s fun, it’s easy, and it’s free to sign up needing only an email account to get yourself started.
All you really need to do in order to finalize your account is to fill out a quick and easy just 8 page questionnaire that will help point you in the right direction of which surveys you qualify for.
And the best part is in all of this sign up, none of your information will be sold to a single person or company. Now that is what you call off to a good start.
What you have to realize here is the importance of market research. In a sense, your opinions really are that valuable and companies will pay at least a decent amount of cash in order to understand the basic needs of the general public so that they may improve their product and/or advertising.
This is Where Businesses Such as MintVine come into Play…
By looking to increase sales to a target audience or demographic, companies like MintVine give them a large range of options to chose from in order to hear from the common consumer.
Once you have tried said company’s products, taken said companies survey, and written a review ABOUT said company (for better or for worse), you will accumulate a certain amount of points.
These points can then be saved and converted into actual real world cash in which you can use at your leisure. The only downside to this is you can not just accumulate a few points and make a few bucks. The minimum number of points of which you must accumulate is 1,000 which is equal to $10.
Needless to say, the more surveys, product trials, and reviews you complete the points you acquire-and the more points you acquire means more money in your bank.
Sounds pretty easy, but there is a few hang ups here. One of which being that the points can wait for a solid two to sometimes three weeks to show before you even know just how many points you even have.
If you have PayPal you may see your points the day after, but you still will need to qualify with the 1,000 point minimum.
Do they Really Pay?
Well, the simple answer to that is, yes, in fact they do. The problem is not IF they pay, but when. You see, as the case with so many paid for survey programs, you have to meet certain requirements.
This means that if you are not qualified for the right survey, you don’t take them. And if you don’t take them, you don’t get paid.
In the simplest terms, if you are a middle aged man, don’t go looking to make a lot of money in the “teen mom” survey section.
As hilarious as that would be, these companies really ARE looking for certain demographics and they have to make sure you meet those standards.
Now, there are way to earn extra cash by signing up for third party offers, but, MintVine can not vouch for all of them and simply warns you that you could in fact be charged for services you do not necessarily need if you go filling out your credit card info like a crazy person.
The best bit of advice on this is simply, don’t do that. If a service asks you for your credit card number even if they say they will not charge, you had better read the fine print.
Many times third party companies will lure you in with a “free trial” and a month later you are getting charged 10.99 a month to receive the online magazine “Gullible Monthly” and nobody wants that.
It may not be MintVine’s doing, but if you are not careful, you too could fall into the same trap.
Let’s Talk Payouts…
Now, the payouts themselves are not exactly billionaire status here. You are not going to be able to pay your bills, not to put too fine a point on it.
The average payout is about $15 to $20 a month with some varying degree of change, but nothing that is going to be able to afford you to drive a fancy new car or purchase your own private jet.
If you want a little extra income, that’s great, but it isn’t exactly going to keep a roof over your head so just be aware.
Again, you may be tempted to fill out more surveys for higher point amounts, but all too often these extra points are going to cost you your credit card information.
Just like most survey sites, they will mostly pay you with some type of gift card or rewards program, so don’t be expecting cash all the time.
So is Mint Vine a Scam?
This is a legit survey site. One of the few, actually. There are way too many scam survey sites, but most of them will ask you to pay, just like a site called Surveys Paid.
I am not going to sit here and promote this site either, but at least you got the information that you need, right?
All in all, with a fairly reliable payout rate and no charges to speak of for signing up, Mint Vine is not a BAD company, just not a GREAT one.

Is Mint Vine Worth it?
It seems as though their intentions are good, it is just not a guarantee on how much (if any) income one could make on any given check.
They seem very sound and grounded, but, as with any work within the research market, you really need to keep a close track on your hours and what surveys you have completed in order to make sure you get your fair share.
Fortunately, they seem to have a fairly reliable customer service to contact in case you have any concerns. Hard to find these days.
Although legit, you are really wasting your time here. In the world of business, time is money and I don’t think you should invest that valuable time on getting pennies for taking surveys.
