I love using, testing, and reviewing products, but I mist especially like getting paid for it. In this Review Stream review I want to show you what this site is all about and most especially give you my final opinion on whether or not I think this is nothing but a waste of time.
Usually these sites that pay you to do simple tasks don’t pay much but I saw somewhere that you could make $8 for every single review you did.
The thing was that you didn’t need to do a thorough review like I’m used to and the claim to fame was that you would only need to do it like you would on Amazon.com.
I’m aware that you can make money doing product reviews, but it usually requires you to do more than just a quick “I really liked ______ and I recommend it”.
I was under the impression that that was all you had to do, so of course I had to do my research and ultimately try it for myself.

So What Exactly is Review Stream?
A website that pays you to do reviews on different products. Not just any products, but on products that you have actually used before.
You can review anything from movies to toothbrushes, all the way to even some instant noodles. It’s like people just throw a bunch of stuff on there and write something about it just to make money.
The site is not the easiest to navigate and it really seemed like things were just all over the place and there has also been a lot of changes to the domain and it has been around for over a decade, so it’s really hard to pinpoint who and where this site came from.
With most of its users coming from the Philippines and some poor grammar on the site, I think the owner might just be from there, but I’m sure most of you couldn’t care less.
I mean, a lot of the stuff is repeated and there are even pics of used basketball shoes. I think they could put a little more effort into making things better, but that’s just what I think.
We’re here to make money, so I’m sure we wouldn’t care as long as they’re paying, right?
How to Make Money With Review Stream
From what I’ve heard about it being simple one liner type reviews, that was actually wrong. You need to give a thorough and really opinion based review rather than information about the product or it will get rejected.
The pay can be one thing now and be completely different tomorrow.
It really depends.
If your review doesn’t match some of their criteria, it will give you the option to get it in a “bulk rate”, which is not going to make you as much as a regular review would.
Then you can get votes on your reviews, which will pay you $.10 for every vote you get. Once you meet the minimum threshold of $5, then you can cash that out.
You can also make about a 2% commission by referring people to the site, which is another reason why anyone would promote this rather than just reviewing products.
All payments will be done through Paypal, so you will need an account if you don’t already have one or you won’t be able to get your money.
Does Review Stream Really Pay?
With all the hype about making $8 per review the main thing we are all wondering is if in fact you can actually make money for your opinion.
The answer is yes.
But (there’s always a but), you will need to meet the minimum threshold, and this depends on what you made in your first review of that cycle.
So if you made $5 for a review, you will need to make a minimum of $50 before you can actually cash out.
If you made $6o, then the minimum threshold for that paying cycle would be $60.
Make sense?
So if you were planning on making a quick $5 and jumping ship, you might want to think again. Do about 9 more reviews and maybe, just maybe, you’ll be able to see some money in your Paypal account.

My Final Opinion of Review Stream
I think this site pays pretty decent compared to other sites like Cash Crate that pay you to do little tasks.
I just find the site to be too confusing and there are better ways to make money with your writing than $5 – $8 for your time.
Yes, it may just be a review, but there is a lot more potential of that writing and it is also the same reason why I try to get as many writers as I can to help them make the most of their skill.
If you want my honest opinion, I’d say you’re wasting your time with Review Stream. There is just so much potential for you, that I think you’ll be better off writing for yourself.
Want to Make More Money Writing?
If I’m not paying people to write for me, I’m teaching them how to make money writing for themselves. So it’s a win for me and a win for them.
Let me help you get the most out of your skill and let’s get you to building a solid income online, rather than making other people money.
If this is something that you might be interested in, you might want to try my #1 recommended program for writers and put that asset of yours to better use.
It is the same program that I use to make my money online and it is also the same program that allows me to help others do the same.
You can get signed up here for free, or you can see more on what this program is about here. In the end, I’m sure you’ll like what the site has to offer.
Conclusion
Review Stream is not a bad gig, but it is something you need to put more thought into. If you plan on writing, this is not going to be your best way to make money online, but it is a way.
You will get about $5 for one article and that is it. If you wrote for yourself, you can make $5/hour if you applied some of the stuff that this site is using your review for in the first place.
The one thing that I do like about this site is the fact that it is not a scam. Great business model, but it is mostly benefitting the owner and not you.
For what it’s worth, let’s just be thankful that they aren’t out to take your money, right?
Thanks for reading my Review Stream review and hopefully I have helped you in one way or the other.
If you have any questions about this site or anything related to making money online, please feel free to leave it in the comments section and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Cheers!

A Work at Home Jobs
They are a scam website. I was writing reviews for a long time and then all of a sudden they started rejecting my reviews when it got closer to the cashout. There’s also the fact that they refuse to remove people’s personal photo from the website after they decide not to write for them anymore. I was a top reviewer. YOU WERE WARNED.
Reviewstream is no longer paying but also stop paying at full rate, making it impossible to withdraw.
They no expect their users to reach 10x the full rate of their first review. And the minimum full rate is about $9, so you’ll need to reach at least $90 to withdraw. So you not only need to write 10 but at least 30 reviews since they don’t ever pay you full rate! (Yes, full rate is an urban legend and only the lucky and choosen ones get to experience them)
As Joan said in her comment, they start to do the unscrupulous rejection trick once you reach a certain amount so that you can hardly withdraw!
A huge waste of time and effort!
Sadly, I think they’re a scam website.
Both me and my friend kept getting our reviews rejected when we’re close to the minimum cashing out amount. I’m very sure our reviews are of similar quality as those which got accepted by they just kept giving lame excuses to reject them.
“Helpful and entertaining information you provided is too limited or not unique enough to buy it. Thanks” when it is obviously that their usual line of excuse couldn’t work, they start to nitpick on things picture qualities and subtitles. Worst, they made a fool of my friend.
When she first submit her review on a picture book, they made her change the title. They said, it’s not specific enough and asked her to change it and resubmit. (I don’t know how a picture book title can be “Not Specific enough”) But she changed the title anyway and resubmit it, thinking it will be accepted but NO! Instead they rejected it again say, “Helpful and entertaining information you provided is too limited or not unique enough to buy it. Thanks” Why did they make her change the title when they’re not planning to accept it? Why not tell her the first time round? They just wasted her time.
Problems like these only occurs when we’re nearing the withdrawal amount. Mine started when I was just $20 away while my friend’s started when she is just $6 (just 2-3 reviews) away. Now, we’re both stuck with a huge amount in our account but never able to cash it out!
The experience with them is a very bad one. There are just too many coincidences that suggest that they’re not willing to pay us.
Thanks for sharing Joan!
Why did you expect they will treat you differently just because you are closer to the payout threshold? They shouldn’t buy your content because you want to get your money as fast as possible. They still want to buy good content.
Being a writer, you should partnership with several publishers. If one publisher refuses to buy your content, then offer it to another publisher. Do not put all eggs in one basket.
If you write decent articles, then publisher will buy some of them for sure.
And if you’re trying to get quick bucks, then you’re 5 years late. There are no more quick bucks in the Internet.
You have to write good books to be published offline and exactly the same you have to write good articles to be published online.
