I was once one of those guys that wanted to make money online, and yes I tried to find the easy way out. Okay, I take that back. It’s more like I ran into so many push button “secrets” and get rich overnight schemes, so you can’t really blame me.
The truth behind making money from home and being successful at it is that not everyone is willing to work at it. Yes, it requires work to make money in anything you do and the same thing applies online.
Do you really think you’re going to make that summer bod without doing any type of physical activity? Didn’t think so.
Today, there are only a handful of legitimate ways to make money online and they all have one thing in common. They will not make you money doing nothing!
If you are thinking that you are going to make money online without doing anything then you can expect a big fat disappointment at the end because it is not going to happen my friend.
Yup, this is a Job too
For some reason, I really can’t stand it when people think I stay home and do nothing all day. Just because we eat out all the time and it seems like I don’t do anything, I really do work.
Just like any other job that I’ve held out there, I still put in the time and effort it takes to get any job done. Do you really think that I just like talking about my life? Okay, I actually do.
Just because I like what I do doesn’t mean I don’t do any type of work. Every single day that goes by I have to remind my other half that I still have work to do.
She totally understands how making money online works now, so she doesn’t give me any lip. I mean, I could be back at my old job you know.
Doing Something I Actually Enjoy
The difference with my job and most other people’s jobs is the fact that I actually enjoy mine. I can go on and on about the benefits of working from home, but it takes a special person to really really understand how the work from home business operates.
Before I even started building my first website, I knew what I wanted in life. I also knew that I wasn’t going to get anywhere if I continued to work at my old job.
For me, it all started with a nice little infomercial. The crazy thing is that I actually got scammed. The difference though, is that that didn’t stop me from finding a legit way to make money online.
I knew there were people out there making tons of money from the internet and I wanted a piece of the pie. I also wanted to do something that I enjoyed and would allow me to have more time with my family.
Although I actually do work, I can say that I love what I do. The only traffic I have to deal with on my way to work is the kid’s toys scattered all over my office. Now tell me that isn’t work?
I don’t Sell Laundry Detergent
Another thing I can’t stand, is when people think I’m doing some type of multilevel marketing business. I’m not against them and I have had my time with a couple, but I think I’m a little smarter these days.
I don’t go around trying to recruit people in my latest and greatest business opportunity, so people need to quit thinking that I’m going to recruit them.
I know I was in the Army, but please, stop thinking I’m trying to recruit you. Running your own online business is done differently and I want to get all the questions out of my hair.
You are the Boss
Unlike these MLMs, when you actually create your own website and market your products (that you don’t own), you are really the boss.
When you run your own business online, you are in control of everything. Whether you make money or not, really depends on you and no one else.
Getting people to join you is not how money is made online. Selling other people’s products to make money is how it’s done my friend.
I do it and so do thousands of other affiliate marketers. The difference is really who puts in the most work and effort, but the reality is that anyone and everyone can do it.
You Get What you Put in
I say that the difference is who puts in the most work because you are in full control of how much money you make.
Work once a week and you can imagine how much money that makes. Work 7 days out of the week and then you can talk to me about how much money can be made online.
Don’t get me wrong, being that we work from home doesn’t mean everything is fine and dandy. We too get complacent and sometimes we forget that we have a job to do.
Procrastination slams online marketers the most and if you’re not careful, you can lose a whole business overnight.
Told you I Actually Worked
I guess I had to get this off my chest, so that people can stop thinking I’m not doing anything, simply because I stay home all day.
Put it this way. If I’m not working on my business, I’m doing daddy stuff. Okay and maybe watching football, while trying to work. That doesn’t work by the way, so it’s either you work, or you watch the game.
