I could just sit here and tell every single person that told me that this company was going to last but I’d rather not.
Now that they are filing for bankruptcy, I would just like to share some insight on this company and how it was very predictable as well as how this can help a lot of you.
Let me just say that I was in the Empower Network in its early days (see EN review here) and almost immediately after I went all in did I realize what I had gotten myself into.
After trying and getting a couple of people to join under me, I cut ties in a very short time as I just could not see myself doing what it took to make money there.
Say it’s not for everyone or whatever you want to call it but I’m sure all its big shot members saw this coming.
This is also the reason a lot of them quit the Empower Network over a year ago.
We live and we learn and now they are finally admitting a lot of things.
Is the Empower Network Really Getting Shutdown?
If you haven’t heard the news, the Empower Network is really going bye bye.
After the David Wood meltdown and many other crazy stunts out there, the face of the company is now coming forward and admitting a lot of things.
You can take a look at the video below and although it is very long and not that interesting, it will help a lot of you that are still waiting on commissions.
Now if you are one of those that are still wondering if you are going to get paid, you might want to watch it to its entirety as I’m sure you are probably pissed off.
You can call it honesty or a scam but it is what it is.
Will You Get Your Money Back?
Not likely and if you did, it isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
If you are trying to get your initial investment back, you might be out of luck as I don’t see that happening.
For those of you who have unpaid commissions, you must be the angriest one of all.
Affiliate marketing is a great thing and there is no reason why anyone should have commissions held back, so please do continue to do whatever it takes to get YOUR money.
At the very least, I guess we can be glad that David is actually coming forward and giving you some kind of peace of mine even if I disagree with his actions.
I’m just glad he isn’t going around with a banged up face telling people that they
“Need to join the Empower Network Now!”
“Delete all negative things you’ve posted about Empower Network now!”
I’ve seen people breakdown and lose everything but Dave has taken things to another level.
I’m glad you’re in better health though Dave and I still wish you the best as I do believe you have some decent qualities as a person.
David Wood is Actually Good at What He Does, But What Was He Selling?
You can’t take away from the fact that David Wood is a great marketer and a great speaker.
That is also the same guy that closed a lot of sales for anyone who joined the company.
Whether it was the intro video about his diamond ring or conducting some training in Costa Rica, the dude knew what he was doing.
I liked all that marketing jazz but I didn’t like the actual product you were selling.
Marketing training on how to promote your business?
Definitely not the case and that was my biggest problem with this company.
Get Paid to Recruit Others to Do Exactly What You Just Did
That’s exactly what you did as a member of the Empower Network and there is no other way to put it.
They claim to give you training on how to market any product, but remember how I mentioned that David Wood is a really good marketer?
Well, that’s because he really is.
So if you were thinking that you were going to find some awesome training on how to promote your business, I can promise you that not a single person joined EN and promoted anything else.
Who wouldn’t want 100% commissions?
Recruit someone else that is willing to pay thousands of dollars is exactly how you made your money, which is what didn’t sit well with me.
There is NO Value
As much as I wanted to see that I invested my money into a quality product, I was really involved in a recruiting scheme.
Unlike Melaleuca or any other MLM that had actual products, these guys offered marketing training for thousands of dollars without an actual product.
That’s just insane.
There are real companies with real products that are getting shutdown and you’re telling me that a digital product that costs thousands of dollars is still up and running?
What in the world am I missing here?
Hype and Dreams, That’s What You’re Selling
As much as I want to call this program a work of art, the overall model is a complete scam.
Even if the owners had no intention of scamming anyone, the fact that you are selling hopes and dreams is a scam in itself.
Want to quit your job and make money online?
Everyone and their mothers would like to do it, especially with all its members at the top flashing their million dollar earnings.
The sad truth that these guys don’t care about anyone but themselves is enough to see their true character.
I would like to feel sorry for David Wood but he really put it on himself.
I was a member for a very short time and I could not find it in me to sell something I knew almost everyone I brought in won’t make any money.
Yup, I Went All In
Some people thought I was crazy NOT for “going all in”, but for going all in and not trying to make my money back.
After understanding exactly how this system worked, I couldn’t find it in me to get people to join under me knowing that they will most likely not make a single penny.
As much as we all want to make money, there will always be 1% making all of the money and those that aren’t making money are the ones paying this very tiny group.
Not cool at all, but I’m sure we all saw this coming.
Whether you saw this as a scam or not, it was really just a bomb waiting to go off.
There is no way this company can sustain itself simply because only 1% of the whole company is making all the money.
Sure some will make the occasional sale but that’s about it.
Not many people quit their jobs and now you’re saying those that did quit, have to find a real job?
That’s pretty sad.
Then David Wood wants to talk about coming up with another product?
There are too many people that are owed money and I’m sure no one will follow but at least a lot of people learned some lifelong lessons.
Some might never learn but I hope most will.
Conclusion
I really would like to say good things about the Empower Network but I really don’t.
The way they tried to talk down on Amway within their little hangouts was really uncalled for but look at who’s laughing now.
Amway is still around and now the Empower Network is gone.
Even if they are only now admitting to shutting down, the company was actually going down the hill since 2014.
Yup, that long ago.
This is also the reason why the top earners were getting out and joining other high ticket products, so that’s how ethical they are too.
In the end, karma is real and you will always get what you deserve.
Some of us might have a conscience while others don’t care but things will always workout in favor of the honest person.
I’m glad I did learn some valuable lessons as a member of the Empower Network but I will never recommend another high ticket, 100% product for as long as I do business online.
Most might think otherwise, but please don’t be desperate by taking other people’s money just so you can make a living.
At the very least, be honest with yourself.
