“Melaleuca products are overpriced”.
These are just some of the things you might hear about the products from a company that has been around since 1985.
It’s very hard to talk negative about a company with that many years in business, but every single home based business will have to deal with the negativity no matter what.
From a member that quit 7 years ago, I decided to give Melaleuca another try as I have heard that they have improved big time.
I didn’t have the best experience when I first joined, but I do have an advantage over others as I can actually compare the products from before and now.
Being the curious little frog that I am, I joined once again and ordered one of their member savings packs, which consisted of your basic household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, some granola bars, and others which I will be covering within this post.
Without being biased as I have many products within my household right now, I will give you my honest opinion on the Melaleuca products so that you can decide if this is a worthwhile investment or a waste of your hard earned money.

So are Melaleuca products really as good as some of its members claim?
Let me tell you from an actual user’s point of view as I’m sure it will help you in making your decision to buy Melaleuca products for yourself.
Melaleuca Laundry Products
Malapower 6X (laundry detergent)
Let me start off with the oh so popular Malapower 6X laundry detergent as this is probably the most sought after product that Melaleuca has to offer.
I remember using this detergent a long time ago and not being impressed one bit.
Fast forward about 7 years later and I must say that I am very much impressed.
After doing a load of laundry this time around, I can tell you that this is not your ordinary laundry detergent, just from the smell alone.
Melapower 6X smells amazing!
I was always a Gain fan due to their amazing fragrances, but the Melapower has a smell that I’m sure anyone will love.
My other half even asked me to wash her comforter with this stuff because it really does smell that good.
With the smell alone, I can honestly say that I will probably be buying and using this detergent for as long as this company stays around.
Mind you I have yet to try their fabric softeners, which I will be getting in my next order.
Melapower Cleans
You would probably think that all laundry detergents are about the same and Tide most likely leading as far as cleaning is concerned.
Step aside Tide as Melapower is going to win in my opinion.
With a super small capful of just 1 and half ounces per large load, I think concentrated would be an understatement as that little capful does the job.
You might think that you need more but trust me, you need to follow the instructions as it is really that strong.
The price may seem a bit pricey, but you are actually saving a lot more than most people think.
A lot of you may think that you need your own laundry detergent because Melapower is too expensive, but when you see the little diagram of 3 tide bottles compared to just one bottle of Melapower, do know that this is a real representation of what is really needed.
Before I used to look at it as some marketing strategy, but trust me, one little bottle lasts my family of 6 over a month!
Melabrite was also very impressive, but wasn’t as fresh smelling as Melapower.
Was never a fan of bleach and I never thought about making my shirts whiter, but this product has me using it a lot more than expected.
If you want to get rid of that yellowish color that whites get when you use it too much, this product will do exactly that.
And guess what?
This product is bleach free!
That’s as far as I’ve gotten with the laundry but I will be getting the others and sharing my results as soon as I can.
Ecosense Cleaning Products
This product line comes with pure power.
I guess I can only attest to the Tub & Tile cleaner, stain remover, and the Safe & Mighty toilet cleaner as that is all that I received in this shipment.
All 3 were easily impressive and I wish I had taken a before and after photo just to show you what I’m talking about.
Safe & Mighty Toilet Cleaner
What’s funny is we actually have Limeaway and that is the same product they compare Safe & Mighty to.
Unlike the crazy amount of solution I had to use with Limeaway, this one used just a little and my toilet came out looking new again.
Stain Remover
Couldn’t have gotten this product with better timing, as my daughter immediately put it to the test after staining our carpet.
After a little mixing in one of their spray bottles, I sprayed it on the stain and allowed it to soak for 10 minutes.
The smell was good like all the other Melaleuca products, but I’m going to say that it did what it was supposed to do and it removed the stains.
I also tried this on the sink in our laundry room as there were some stains that were there before we moved in and believe it or not, it took those stains away too.
Melaleuca Stain Remover works!
Tub & Tile Cleaner
This is my favorite of all the cleaning products.
My son recently did some painting and left the bathroom sink all stained along with the buildup that was put there through normal use.
Mixed one bottle of solution and sprayed it on the sink, with it working almost just from spraying it alone.
The dirt was easy to come off and boy did that sink shine.
This is a must buy product and I’m sure you will like what it does.
Not to mention that all the Ecosense products are safe for the environment and also requires a lot less to take on anything, really.
Lemon Brite Dishwashing Liquid
So far I’ve only tried the original Lemon Brite dish soap (the yellow one) although there are others.
Not going to clean your dishes like Dawn would but I can honestly say that this is right up there with other quality dishwashing liquids.
Does require a little more than just a drop but just like Melaleuca’s other cleaning products, it leaves your dishes with a little shine.
I don’t know what it is, but these products put a little shine to your things.
They do price this product right, so I still think you’re getting what you pay for.
Bath & Hygiene Products
This is another one of my favorites.
Of course I’ve tried some of these products in the past, but I also got some new stuff to try and one of them being their hand soap, which I immediately liked.
Mind you, I have only brushed the surface with these products as there are way too many things to try all at once.
On top of that, my other half has yet to try their makeup and all that girly stuff that Melaleuca’s Si Bella line carries.
Hand Soap – Blackberry Kiss
Talk about amazing.
That’s really how I describe the way this thing smells.
Initially the first product I tried because I had to tear off the seal, which left me with some soap on my hands.
Wasn’t a fan of liquid soaps, but now I have this little guy sitting on the sink in our bathrooms.
The Gold Bar
The longest lasting bar of soap I have ever used in my life.
I always saw this as an overpriced bar of soap but after using it for myself, I look at this as a way to save more money.
It has a very lemony smell to it but unlike the gold dial bar I always got, this one lasts at least 3x longer.
Herbal Shampoo
I think the scent of this shampoo is really, really good.
I like to say that this is what you get if you were to cross Herbal Essences shampoo and Cool Water cologne.
The smell is once again one of my favorites and this product also comes really concentrated so I only use a little to get my hair all soapy.
My kids would rather use this than the kids shampoo, so we’re actually sharing this one little bottle.
Might not be the smell of choice for women, but I’m sure men will love it.
Very good product and something you should definitely try for yourself.
Renew Lotion
Always a favorite as this is one lotion that you will find people looking for even if they are not a Melaleuca customer.
This one product alone is what got us to join Melaleuca in the first place as my son had eczema.
Word on the street was this magical lotion could help with eczema, so we ended up joining just for that alone.
At the time I didn’t really give all the products a try, but this was something we ordered all the time, along with the body wash, which didn’t have that great of a smell.

Oral Hygiene
I have actually only tried the Tooth Polish and the dental floss, so I can’t say much about their mouthwash or chewing gum.
The Tooth Polish was decent, but did require me to use a little more than I usually did with my old toothpaste, but it still had my mouth feeling fresh like always.
Just not as sudsy as the old brand, but it definitely leaves my mouth feeling clean and refreshing.
Simply Fit Granola Bars
This was the only food product I tried as this was all that came with the value pack I purchased.
If you were thinking that this is going to be like you’re eating some cardboard like I did, you might actually be impressed with this little snack.
I got the yogurt flavored granola bar and it was so tasty that I thought it was unhealthy for sure.
Taste wasn’t so bad, but I definitely want to try other things they have to offer.
Melaleuca Vitamins
So far I have only tried their Vitality multivitamin, so I can’t say anything about their Peak Performance products as I have yet to place an order.
As far as the Vitality vitamins are concerned, they did what I expected them to do, which was turn my urine to some neon color, just like it did when I tried some of the vitamins from the Amway product line.
Other than that, I haven’t seen or felt any dramatic changes in my body, but I do continue to take them daily so we can see what happens after using a month’s supply.
I will be placing an order on one of their Peak Performance products and I will be adding a review on those as soon as I put them to the test.
Conclusion
With my first order out of the way, I must say that I am very much a Melaleuca fan.
The products from this company alone are some of the best out there and I’m going to have to give this trial two thumbs up.
From “just trying” to probably a Melaleuca customer for life and what’s really exciting is that I have not even tried half of what they have to offer!
These products alone are really that good, so if you are still on the fence about purchasing any of these products, I say go for it.
There is no catch to things either, as I’ve heard in the past that people are having a hard time canceling their accounts, when I don’t see how hard it is to do that as it is really clear.

7 Reasons Your Website Isn’t Making Any Money
Okay, so all I am hearing is that the products work! That’s amazing so does Tide! What I want to know is the truth. Compare the chemicals in tide with the chemicals in melaleuca!! Are they as clean as they say they are? That’s my issue here. I want CLEAN products. I do not want pay more to kill myself and my family with toxic chemicals. I thought that the whole point of melaleuca was to be as chemical free as possible. To be “green” I love the idea of melaleuca and being able to order monthly but I want peace of mind that I am doing the right thing for my family. If that means my laundry soap doesn’t suds up as well as tide I’m okay with that. If it means the scent isn’t as strong as tide. I’m okay with that too! Like I said I want CLEAN products. Hard working American People don’t like being lied to. we want products that are truly legit and not making the American people sick! So just tell us the truth…I want to know how much 1,4-dioxane is in melaleuca…aka…Anionic and nonionic surfactants. You do all realize these chemicals are making us sick right? Cancer causing carcinogens. Not to mention how badly they mess with our hormones and causes of infertility. On my think dirty app the mela power x9 received and F…based on a scale of A-F…A being the cleanest and F being the worst. 😳
My wife and I were introduced to Melaleuca 5 months ago and she loves all the products we have tried. in fact, almost our whole home is all Melaleuca products. The cleaning products are amazing, the personal soap and shampoo are fantastic. So we started referring others to Melaleuca. We love that part because we don’t have to buy any products and resell them, we don’t deal with any money and their product is shipped to their door. Everyone orders their own products with out having to be involved—-shopping on line doesn’t get any better for them, plus it saves time at the store.
i Was introduced to melaleuca this year and was worried it might have been a scam or some sorts. just have a few questions. are the products they sell as good as they say john?
I actually like the products but of course there is a business behind it, which has them priced higher than regular products. If you want to run a business with some solid products then this is something I do recommend. Now if you are just looking for good products and only that, then I wouldn’t recommend it as they aren’t your cheapest of products.
Once sold its products! Was own best customer. Used many different ones & those who purchased items were very happy with them. The gold soap & the hair products worked! I tried many items, but loved how the gold soap bath kept mosquitoes away in summer.That was years ago. I know they have improved. Am going to be a customer again soon! Thanks!
That’s what I did Willie and that is a great decision. I actually just ordered more products and I added some chocolates and some travel lotions to give out as stocking stuffers this Christmas. Although my review was done a long time ago, I think the company has improved tremendously. After trying several MLM companies in my career, I think this is definitely one of the best…in my opinion.
