My Points is a rewards site that gives you points for doing small tasks like taking surveys, playing games, and shopping.

These points can then be redeemed for gift cards, travel miles or Paypal cash.

The site was started in 1996, which makes this the oldest survey site I have ever reviewed to date.

That’s something you want to see with any company you join as that alone can tell you a lot about them.

How it Works

Not quite the same as a regular survey site that has you pick, My Points invites you to take the surveys and then you take them.

By simply giving your honest opinion on different topics, you get points.

This is the main way people are earning money with this site, but there are many other ways to earn points and this is where things can get kind of fun.

Other Ways to Earn

Besides taking surveys, you can earn points doing other simple tasks like watching videos, shopping, playing games, and reading emails.

Each also come with a limit, so there can only be so many points earned a day for doing these tasks.

Videos – Up to 500 points per day
Shopping – Up to 25 points per dollar
Games – 10 points per dollar
Email – 5 points per email

Adding extra tasks like this makes things a little more exciting and also leaves room for you to earn points, which is a great thing when it comes to sites like this because you are usually limited to just surveys and that can earn you only a few points a day.

Getting Paid

Depending on the task will determine how many points you will make and those points will be converted into gift cards, travel miles, or Paypal Cash.

To receive Paypal cash, you need to make sure you have a valid and verified Paypal account or you won’t be able to get actual cash.

If you don’t have a verified Paypal account, you can always get miles or gift cards, which has many different businesses to choose from.

Amazon, Burger King, Target, and Buffalo Wild Wings, just to name a few.

What I Really Like About My Points

First, I like how simple and user friendly the overall site is.

Secondly, they have well known stores that allows you to earn points just from shopping along with a toolbar that you can download, which will reward you automatically, just like the Shopping Sherlock company.

Lastly, they offer actual cash, along with the gift cards and travel miles, which is not found with other survey sites.

I’m a frequent flyer, so travel miles are something I always try to earn and that’s what you can expect with My Points.
