10 Simple Ways to Get More Leads For Your Business

Let’s face it, MLM is just not for everyone, or is it?

Harassing family and friends has become old news and everyone in your immediate circle is far from interested in your latest “opportunity”.

So what do you do?

Do you quit or do you find a way to make things work?

There’s no real answer to that question as it’s really all in a matter of do you want it to work or not.

I say that simply because whether or not you think you can make network marketing work, there are millions of people that are looking for something that YOU have to offer.

It’s all in knowing where these people are and how to interact with them.

Finding these people is not the easiest thing (if it were 1990) but thanks to this thing called the internet, these prospects are all at our fingertips.

All you need is a way to know where to find these people and then of course give them what they are looking for.

These days, there are things called lead generating systems and whatnot but I have come to the conclusion that most of them are just flat out garbage.

“Get 1000 leads today”

“Double your sales in 30 days”

I have heard it all, seen it all, and probably tried them all myself and I know, it sucks.

After spending thousands of dollars trying to get more leads and make more sales without much success.

I’d have the occasional interested lead but of course they saw right through my offer.

I then got into affiliate marketing (which I absolutely love) and pretty much gave up on trying to do the whole people business MLM thing.

Who would’ve thought that something that has nothing to do with talking to people would teach me how to be better at network marketing?

You live and you learn and I actually enjoy network marketing a lot more than when I was actually “serious” and promoting it like crazy.

I also never thought I’d find success with it either but I guess it does take a lot of learning and it very much takes a special person to make it work.

If you are struggling to make anything happen with your network marketing MLM business, here are some awesome tips that will help you get more leads and convert them into sales.

1. A Little Help Will Come a Long Way


I have come to the conclusion that the core to any business, whether it be on or offline is to help, help, and help again.

Affiliate marketing may be done through selling other people’s products and not recruiting but at the end of the day, you still need to help.

Being that I have found success with something like affiliate marketing and learned some valuable lessons, I decided to turn to the network marketing world and provide some assistance there too.

Before you can even think about building an empire, you need to focus on your market by providing the help that they need in the first place.

Don’t do that and you can bet that you won’t make the money you thought you were going to make before joining your MLM.

2. Join Something With Solid Products


After joining some companies like Melaleuca and Vidacup (no longer in business), as well as being introduced to Kyani, It Works and the hundreds and thousands of other so called opportunities, I couldn’t even figure out what was worth promoting.

So before you start promoting your business, make sure you’re with a company that has a solid background and you know they have solid products.

Also, please make sure you’re using those products yourself as anyone can see right through you but not if you know what you’re doing.

Too many people come into the network marketing world trying to promote something that they aren’t even using, and yes, they are out there as I have experienced it for myself.

“Hey John, you should try ItWorks, it’s awesome!”.

Mind you that this was coming from someone who is super skinny and does not need to lose anymore weight.

She obviously joined her up-line and I can promise you that it wasn’t because she needed to lose any belly fat.

The point of that story is not only to tell you to use what you promote because it only makes sense but also to show you a very important lesson when joining ANY network marketing business, which I’ll be discussing in my next tip.

3. People Join People


Yup, that’s one thing you must understand as a network marketer and if you really wanted to get more leads, focus on helping rather than trying to sell anything.

Period.

If your product can’t sell itself then now would be a great time to rethink your strategy and get with a company that has the products you know you will use and that people actually want.

That’s about 10% of the battle with the rest being your help and sincere care for that person.

With my experience, I think a company called Melaleuca is one to consider because of the crazy amount of products along with decades under their belt.

I joined them in 2011, quit because I wasn’t making enough money to pay my membership but eventually gave them another try and I must say that they are really that good.

In their case, the products sell themselves and they are very much sought after.

4. Build, Not Sell


When doing MLM or any other business, you need to focus on certain things rather than recruiting, promoting a product, or any type of selling.

You’re not a door to door salesman trying to sell a vacuum or some overpriced knives, so don’t act like one.

You’re here to build a business not sell a product hoping you never see that person again, so forget about selling and focus on building your business.

In case you didn’t know this, network marketing does require you to talk to people so if you aren’t the type, now would be a great time to step your game up and break out of your comfort zone.

5. Provide Solutions and Answers


Know your target market, have what they need, and provide the solution to their problems.

Some people may need help with their weight, others might need some fancy facial cream, while almost everyone just wants to make more money.

In some cases, they probably need it all.

Give them the answers to their problems without selling and you will have your leads chasing you instead of you chasing them.

That’s just how it is.

6. Take Advantage of the World Wide Web


I don’t care what market or niche you’re in, there is someone in this world that needs help along with answers.

Where do most people turn to?

This thing called the internet.

Gone are the days of cold calling (aka harassing) or irritating family and friends as the internet is beyond powerful tools to any network marketer.

I’m sure you’ve “Googled” something before and if you aren’t leveraging these searches then you’re not being smart.

“How to make more money”

“How to lose weight fast”

People are searching for something as we speak and that’s what they’ll be doing for many, many years to come.

7. Start a Blog


Blogging is a great tool and most people fail to understand how it actually works which has them counting it out completely.

Bad idea.

You will not see immediate results but with some age and consistency, you can get more leads to your business and not just for one day.

Running a blog allows you to get traffic consistently and even for many years to come.

Imagine getting leads from a very targeted audience and what that can do for your business?

It’s actually pretty crazy and can mean the difference of thousands of dollars for those of you who are patient.

8. Get Social


In case you didn’t know this, social media is probably the most powerful tool on the internet and is providing network marketers with almost all of their income.

Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Google all make their money through advertising and whether you have a huge following or not, there is no reason why you can’t get more leads from any of those platforms.

If you can pay $100 to get 3 new prospects to your business, would you do it?

Most people will say no because it doesn’t sound right but you need to look at things for the future and how much you will actually make if you get one quality lead.

In the world of business, investing is a huge part of the equation and if you can’t do that, you might want to start building a following on social media or you will have to pay for those leads.

9. Get a Customer Relationship Management Tool


I have never seen such a powerful tool until I joined a program called MLSP.

Being able to manage your leads all in one place is extremely valuable to any network marketer and that’s what they have to offer.

That tool alone was enough for me to say that my investment was worth it, but the social media training and blogging information was beyond amazing.

So if your business isn’t using a CRM tool, you might want to get with the program or you’ll never take your business to another level.

Give ratings to your leads, take notes of what they are like, and many other things with a solid CRM tool.

10. Be About Your Business


Joining an MLM for the first time comes with excitement but it dies almost immediately because it was nothing more than hype and a lot of good marketing on your up-line’s part.

Take what they did and use it.

What did they do to get you to signup under them?

How did they approach you in the first place?

Most people don’t understand that type of stuff and that’s completely normal.

Treat your business like the business it is or you won’t get very far as that was my biggest mistake when I first got involved with network marketing.

I was too busy trying to sell my products when I was doing everything backwards.

Follow these simple tips and I can promise you that your overall business will start to look and feel better.
