I’m John and I have been doing online marketing for a little over a year now. I know that’s not a long time, but being that I Have managed to make a living completely online within a year, I want to show you what has worked for me.

Did that happen? Well, like I said, I have only been doing this whole internet marketing thing for under 2 years and I have managed to make a full-time income. I can only imagine what year 3 will bring! Now year 5? I’m speechless.

1.) Online Marketing
This is by far the best way to make money online. Although I consider this is my #1 recommendation, there are some things that might detour you from this.
The biggest turnoff with this is that it is not going to make you money right away. For those of you looking for some type of make quick money deal, this is not going to work for you.
However, if you are looking to build something that will make you money over and over and over again, then this might be the “job” for you.
This is what I do for the most part and it amounts for most of my online income. It took me about 3 months to make my first dollar, but after that, things just went through the roof.
If you aren’t in a hurry and you are looking to build a secure income and maybe quit your job, this is definitely what you need to do.

2.) Become a Virtual Assistant
Although the pay for this job is not the best, it will allow you to make some extra money. The job consists of creating schedules and working with programs like Microsoft Word.
Depending on the person you will be working for really determines on what type of job you will be doing.
The pay – Anywhere from $10 – $35 an hour, depending on your employer
Getting Payed – Most payments are done via payment processors like Paypal, which is a secure way to transfer money on the internet.

3.) Become a Freelance Writer
This job requires a lot of writing and time. The beauty about all this is that you can do it on your own time.
The pay is not the best, but it can make you some extra cash. It will not replace your 9-5 unless you can find someone that is looking to hire full-time.
Don’t forget that you will be working for someone else so depending on the type of articles and most especially the length will determine how much you make.

4.) Create a Blog
I absolutely love the concept of blogging. I mean, who gets paid to talk about things they enjoy doing? Not many people.
I created my first blog in 2011 and I really had no clue as to how money was made with it. I just knew people were making money doing it and I wanted to do the same.
There’s a lot more to it than just putting up a website and talking about what you enjoy doing. You need to learn how to monetize it and get exposure.

5.) Direct Sales
Although I’m not a fan of multilevel marketing, this is still an option. I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of companies like Amway, which is one of the biggest direct marketing companies in the world.
If I was to say this was a scam, it would be shutdown by now. Being that it is still around, let others say what they want but it’s still around for a reason.
I wouldn’t recommend Amway because of the fact that it’s been around for a very long time, but it is just an example.

I’m not a big fan of MLM, but this is still an option. If you aren’t into the whole direct sales thing, then of course this is not for you.

These are some of the most profitable ways that I have come across in my online career. There are other ways, but with the risk that is involved I’d rather not say.
Working from home is not for everyone, but if you put in the time and effort that is needed to make money online, you can do more than you think possible.
