Paid survey sites, the beauty of getting paid just for filling out simple surveys eh?
Sounds like a quick way to make money in a short amount of time.
At least that’s what it had me thinking.
But is this one actually legit and going to pay you for your efforts? I review a lot of products online and provide my honest opinion, and this one is no different.
If you would like to discover what PrizeRebel is about and if it has anything to offer, well this Prize Rebel Review is where I debunk all the online reviews and find the truth regarding the website.
Enjoy!
Prize Rebel Review
Name: Prize Rebel
Website: www.prizerebel.com
Price to join: Free
Type: Paid surveys
Overall Rating: 3/5 stars
A Brief History
PrizeRebel has been going strong since 2007 and has been found to be rewarding their members ever since then.
They have clearly stood the test of time, and that’s the whole reason why I wanted to review this website and see what all the fuss was about.
They are growing every single day and show no signs of going down, since they started in 2007 they have paid over 10 million members with cash prizes and rewards.
And supposedly, it has been the premier survey site, this means they are #1 and aren’t even getting close to being surpassed.
Prize Rebel Overview
PrizeRebel is a website where you can signup (for free) and take part in their surveys, which can cover anything from gaming, to health related topics.
Super random.
All surveys offer different rewards, so you can choose the one you like and start it.
You don’t actually get paid with cash every single time either, you also get rewarded with gift cards and other merchandise.
Just like Swagbucks and BeFrugal, they offer Amazon gift cards, Paypal credit, and now Bitcoins.
Yup, even they deal with the hyped digital currency.
The offers that you can take part of range from many different types.
These include:
- Signing up for trials
- Joining mailing lists
- Completing surveys
- Watching videos
- Complete simple tasks
- And more
You get the point, the main idea is to complete a simple task and in return, you get paid in rewards.
There is also daily points that you can receive, which will give you access to more offers and tasks that you can do.
Furthermore, you can get bonus rewards as you take part in contests, raffles and games. One common game is the Lucky Numbers Game, which I found to be pretty cool
Referral System
There IS a referral system, a good choice for people who have a website that’s getting traffic, meaning they can get referrals on autopilot.
When you recruit people into this website, you get 20-30% of what they earn.
However, this excludes promo codes and contest winnings.
The referral earnings are based on your account level, and of course this will get higher the more you take part in the surveys and tasks.
You automatically gain more points as you recruit people into the system too, which is why you will see a lot of people promoting Prize Rebel.
You gain Bonus Rewards for every level you gain, allowing for more earnings as you participate more and more.

About Rewards
As you may or may not know by now, PrizeRebel is legit and they do pay their members the rewards they earn.
There are a large number of different rewards and I would like to cover more about them here.
You can gain both physical AND electronic rewards.
A common rewards is the gift card: Amazon, Target, eBay, Starbucks, and more.
And before you begin the task or survey, they tell you the exact reward before you even begin (and if it’s electronic or physical).
There are also credits that are up for grabs for online games. Such as League of Legends, while you can get credits for platforms like Steam and Rixty.
If you do NOT wish to receive these rewards, you can opt out of it and instead convert your rewards into cash.
Who Prize Rebel Is For
Even though Prize Rebel offers a wide range of rewards for your work, you can convert them into cash.
I find that to be a great help for other people that don’t have any money who also want to start building an online business.
You can start making money with Prize Rebel, and use it to fund your other online ventures.
If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, then this is for you.
However, you have to be over 18 to take part in the system and get rewards, so keep that in mind before you waste your time.
If you want to earn a little cash on the side for your beer money 😛 then this works great and also a good choice for you.
Pricing & Purchase Details
To get access to the system only requires you to be over 18 and it’s incredibly easy to sign up and start using right away.
When you have done that, you can start completing the tasks and begin earnings rewards, or cash if that’s what you would rather prefer.
Completely free, no questions asked.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- The website has been found to be legit and has been rewarding their members since 2007
- It doesn’t require any money to join and take part of. So you can sign up right away and begin earning rewards
- It has a referral system. If you want to recruit your friends into it, you can, while you will earn 20-30% of what they earn depending on your account level
- Easy money that can fund your other online projects
Cons:
- If you sign up with your main email address, chance are you will get a lot of promotions from the company. It would be a good idea to use a secondary email address
- It’s not a sustainable business model. You only get paid one time for your work, so when you stop taking part in the system you stop earning
- Even if you spend hours per day doing tasks, you still won’t earn a huge amount of money
It is only good for a little (and I mean little) extra dollars here and there.
This will not make you a full-time income, so don’t expect to get rich here.

Not my #1 recommendation when it comes to making money online, but definitely something that will give you some change.
So is PrizeRebel a Scam?
Definitely not a scam.
However, you will not make any type of life changing income if that’s what you’re thinking.
I mean, what did you expect for something free, right?
At least you know what you’re getting yourself into so there should be no complaints.
Absolutely legit, but not high on the recommendation list.
What I Recommend
If you’re looking to make real money online, it’s not going to come from some get paid to take surveys type of site.
Yes, you might need to fork out some cash, but just like any other business out there, you will need to invest.
Whether it be time or money (or both) you are going to need to work at it.
Personally, I use a program called the Wealthy Affiliate and it is one of the few that I know work.
Click here to learn more about WA and see how it helped me not only make money online but how to create a legitimate online business.
Other than that, thanks for reading my review on Prize Rebel.
I’m sure some of you are on here a lot so please do share some of your secrets or ideas as far as how to be more profitable with PR.
Cheers!

A Work at Home Jobs
Dear John,
Thanks for the thorough review on PrizeRebel and I wanted to give you a thumps up. You have addressed all the details I need to know. I’ve tried out many other programs online and failed to make any money with all of them. So I always read reviews about products to gain more knowledge before buying it. Your review is very helpful I will come back to your website to learn more information. Thanks again.
Your Friend,
Paul
Not a problem Paul!
Prizerebel is really great, it is even better than swagbucks. It has more offers than swagbucks.
and I Promo codes. I have earned more than 100 points just with promo codes.
Not sure why people hate surveys so much, I make $200-$300 a month from doing surveys off prizerebel and they pay instantly.
It’s just not for everyone Danny, but it’s great to hear that you’re making something. Is that from doing stuff on the site or did you recruit some people into Prize Rebel?
Hi John,
Thanks for the review. I did get into doing surveys for awhile and I still do some from time to time. Wealthy Affiliate is better than any survey for cash site and you can’t even compare the two. I am really happy that you are spreading the word about what a great opportunity Wealthy Affiliate is. So, join Wealthy Affiliate everybody it will be the best decision you will make for yourself. Have a successful “2017” John and best wishes, to you and your family. 🙂
Carol
Thanks Carol and Happy New Year!
This is a good review of Prize Rebel. I guess it is a personal preference as to whether doing surveys for pennies is worth the effort. As a marketer I know that the demographic data (personal information) these survey companies collect is far more valuable than the pennies they pay. I don’t know about Prize Rebel, but some surveys require providing personal information which can take some time. You fill in the data and then find out you are not qualified to take the survey. Only because you are not the target market.
Cheers for pointing out all there is to know about these paid surveys from Prize rebel, at least there is some honest information available out there. Personally I am looking for an additional €500 per month to paid various bills and debts. Is it possible to earn this level of income or would it be much lower than this?
Thanks
Definitely possible Michael, but not from taking surveys or doing little tasks. If you haven’t tried affiliate marketing, I suggest you give it a shot. Requires you to work, but definitely going to make you more than these types of sites. I recommend you use Wealthy Affiliate as there is a community of entrepreneurs that can help you along the way. Hope this helps!

Great review on Prize Rebel. Even thoughthey have been around for a while, I cannot see myself doing endless surveys for small amounts of money. So I think you are right on with your review. Though legitimate, if one figured their time vs. how much compensation they get, I bet it is way less than minimum wage.
You know I never considered doing these before! The last time I did a marketing scheme like this must have been 2004 and I earned my Tom Tom GPS lol. That thing was as big as a brick!
Still, at this point in my life I am open to earning Amazon gift cards. I can turn around and sell them or offer them as incentives in my own business!
Wow you got a GPS? Do you think that’s still possible now?
I don’t mind these sites at all – they’re great for paying tuition or a couple of bills every month (I actually used one to fund my marketing education!).
I think they get a bad name from people who think they are going to make a ton of money there – this would take up about 20 hours out of every day! These sites are strictly for pocket money – nothing more!
I don’t know about tuition but definitely pocket money, lol. These types of sites are what they are and there’s not much to complain about. It is free to join and you can actually make something. Not much but it’s something.
Honestly, I hate online surveys and suspect they are just spying on people and stealing personal information. I know that sounds paranoid. But, truth be told, when you’re on the internet, you can’t be too paranoid.
Even if Prize Rebel is legit, the returns on the time spent are pathetic. I’d rather take a nap and then work at something that can really make money, like a website.
That reminds me of the worse thing about surveys, you don’t learn a valuable skill. You just waste your time. I like your recommendation. It makes perfect sense.
I have tried survey sites before and I really just don’t have the time to do all the surveys. They seem to have the survey go on and on.
How long is each survey? I may be able to do it on my phone as I am always on the run.
I enjoyed the review and wish I had more time as I like to get those rewards!
Hi John, this is an honest review. I heard of PrizeRebel earlier so I thought of giving it a try. I logged in to the site and to my surprise I did not find any surveys for me (after entering some of my basic information). Maybe there’s no surveys available according to my demographic location and my responses?
I am looking for a way to make more than just “pocket change” so will that program you recommend do that? There has to be a way.
Hey Carthink! The program I recommend is called the Wealthy Affiliate and yes, it is the way to go. You will have to work at it, but I’m sure you will be pleased with the end results. Click here to learn more and see exactly why I highly recommend them.
Nice review. It has a similarity with an another website where you review songs, and get money for it.With these kind of reviews it’s hard to get a decent money out. It is still good that they do pay out, buy I would prefer money instead of gift cards. What you recommend is good, it has a lot of training, and it is free also.
