Owning Your Own Website Is More Profitable Than You Think

I get asked too many times if it is even possible to make money with a website although I think it is pretty self explanatory.

I own a couple of websites and they all make me money. There may be all kinds of products, systems, tools, and whatever else is out there, but without a website, you are leaving too much money on the table.

So to answer the most common question, yes, people are making money online owning their own websites and some make incomes you could only dream of.

How is This Possible?

I’m pretty sure you’ve seen all types of sites, with all types of different themes and products that most likely caught your attention.

For the most part, you probably didn’t care about the look of the site, but rather that specific type of information you got on that site to begin with.

Or you could’ve just been on Facebook and found yourself on someone else’s blog reading about a dogs or how to make money with a website, like you are here.

There are just so many possibilities and avenues for making money with your own website that it would be crazy if you weren’t thinking about starting your own online business.

How Money (Yes, cash money) is Made Online

There are several ways this is done and you can actually implement each of these and run them on your site to make money.

I’m not going to ask you if you’ve “Googled” anything because that would probably be a stupid question. So being that we all have used a search engine in our lives, why not make money from it?

You see guys, there are people looking for some type of information and they all turn to the internet to find answers.

Whether it’s product reviews or some type of “how to”, our instinct would be to get online and find out more information.

With the 2 billion people on the internet every single day, how could you pass up such an amazing opportunity?

Advertising is a Start

You’ve most likely seen an advertisement of some sort going down the side of a site or flashing at the top of the header. Point is, you’ve seen them.

This is just one of the ways people are making money with their sites and it is probably the easiest. Being so easy, it is also the one that pays the least.

Google has their advertising program called Google Adsense, which they allow website owners to place several ads on their site, in which they will pay you for every click that you get for specific ads.

They come in the form of a banner or text, but both give you the opportunity to make some money just for having someone click on these ads.

Don’t think that your’e going to create your own site, place an Adsense ad on there and start clicking because that is a great way to get banned from the Adsense program.

This is just one way to monetize your site, and if you can generate enough traffic, this method can be very profitable.

Affiliate Marketing

This is how I make most of my money online. You will be doing nothing more than selling other people’s products to make a profit.

Almost every single online merchant will give you the opportunity to partake in their affiliate program, so you can almost count on the fact that you can make money from your favorite online store.

Sites like Amazon.com will give you a commission for every product you sale, so what better way to make money online than directing people to stores they are already shopping from.

Personally, I love the concept of affiliate marketing and it is what my business focuses on. With sites like Wealthy Affiliate, they make everything so simple for us online marketers.

Selling Your Own Products

This is your traditional way of making money, and I don’t see the need for it with products readily available for you to sell.

Most people try to do affiliate marketing and can’t seem to break this thought out of their head. You do not need your own product to make money online.

But if you absolutely want to sell your own products, owning your own website will help you a big deal if you plan to make it in the online world.
