Lifebrook Review – Legit MLM or Scam?

Welcome to my Lifebrook review for those of you who are interested in the products and most especially the business opportunity.

I am not affiliated with this company, so you can expect nothing but an unbiased opinion on what I really think about this overall company and whether or not I think this is the right fit for you.

However, I do have my experience with multilevel marketing as I have been apart of companies like Melaleuca and ItWorks but I have now ventured off into affiliate marketing as I feel that recruiting someone for me to make money is not the most ethical way to do business.

Again, that is just my opinion and that doesn’t mean I am completely against MLM as I would recommend it to anyone before I tell them to work a 9-5.

With that being said, let’s dig a little deeper into this company and see what all the fuss is about.

Lifebrook Review – The Company

Back in 2005 Lifebrook was actually hardly a notable company at all. This organization actually began as an orchard that farmed organic berries and apples.

The orchard was run by cultivators Tony and Jennifer Heisterkamp, who now lead the company in its MLM capacity as well. However, in 2005 they changed many key components to their business model ,and the opportunity that we are reviewing today is what became of the results.

Now that Lifebrook does include a multilevel marketing component, sales personnel are able to join the organization and start selling their products for the relatively low price of $39.95.

While this may not sound insignificant to some people, a fee of just under forty dollars is probably as affordable a number as you are likely to find in the world of MLM, where entry level fees can go as high as several thousand dollars.

Of course, even a relatively small investment in an MLM may not be worthwhile if the product that you are going to be selling is no good, right?

Right. As a salesman you need to know that you can make money working with an MLMs product line, which is exactly what we will now be taking a look at.

Product Line

Given what we said in the last heading, one would probably assume that Lifebrook representatives are tasked with selling berries, and other organic fruits, right? While this is certainly a very reasonable assumption given the companies origins as an orchard, it’s also not the case.

While the Heisterkamp’s background in fruit is critical to the operations at Lifebrook, the way that they deliver their nutritious goodies has shifted ever so slightly.

Health and wellness products are now the name of the game. They actually have a small variety of supplements your customers will be able to choose from, but their flagship product is a supplement that utilizes the aronia berry to deliver a variety of health benefits.

The aronia berry, which is also known as the “chokeberry” is considered by many to be a superfruit that delivers consumers many positive benefits.

Believed benefits of the aronia berry include but are not limited to more energy, strengthened immune system, clear thinking, healthy joints, better sleep, and even improved digestion.

It is, however, important to acknowledge that these linked benefits are not necessarily substantiated by any federal organizations like the FDA, especially not when taken in supplement form.

While this sounds like a big deal in terms of sales potential, it really isn’t. Supplements in general are not fully embraced in any official capacity, which most users are aware of. Despite this, they enjoy significant popularity.

The aronia berry supplement takes the form of either a soluble powder, or a juice that users can take on a daily basis.

Here’s the issue: this stuff is pricey. Really, really, pricey.

The company webpage lists a four pack of their 25 ounce bottles of juice at over $100. Granted, the recommended doses would allow a customer to use the same four pack for several months, but the price wall is still going to be a big sales obstacle.

Pills and powder packages are a little bit more affordable, ranging between $40-80, but even those price tags may be a challenge to get some people to buy into.

There is, however, a silver lining. Assuming that you do find a way to get people interested in this product, you should find that it isn’t extremely challenging to build a repeat customer base.

This is one of the nice things about selling products that are used and then repurchased when it comes to MLM sales. If you are good with customers, you can quickly build a base that accounts for a consistent monthly income.

Still, the fact does remain that selling the Lifebrook product line may be a challenge given the hefty price tag that their stuff goes for.

Compensation

As with any MLM, the compensation structure at Lifebrook is complicated, confusing, and not exactly to your benefit.

To start, there is no concrete salary at this company.

Everything that you make will be on the basis of sales and commissions.

You also get bonus pay for sponsoring new affiliates to start selling the products but I’m sure you knew about that part.

The sales commission resides at 20%, though there are a variety of circumstances in which you can up that number through bonuses.

These facts on their own sound fine, right?

But you do need to keep something in mind. Namely, there doesn’t seem to be any readily available data on what Lifebrook associates can expect to make in a year.

We can however, assume that the number (or at least the average) is not very high. Why? Because with MLMs, it basically never is.

The average associate at virtually every commission affiliate company is bringing home only a few hundred dollars a year. The reason for this is simple: most people don’t have what it takes to run their own sales business effectively.

Before joining Lifebrook, you will want to think about whether or not you are the exception to the rule.

So, what is the bottom line here?

Yay or nay for Lifebrook?

The truth of the matter is that there is no real clear answer to this question.

While there are things to like about this company, like the potential to build a reliable customer base, and a tiered commission plan, there are also troublesome components as well.

The fact is that most people are going to have a hard time making money at this company.

Does that mean that you shouldn’t give it a try?

Of course not!

It just means that you need to make sure that you know what you are getting yourself into.

So long as you are confident in your ability at sales, and you don’t necessarily need to count on this job as a primary source of income, Lifebrook might be worth giving a try.

At the very least, I’m just glad that Lifebrook is not a scam.

Is There an Alternative?

I’m glad you asked.

Just like a lot of you, I thought MLM was the only way for the little guy to get ahead until I was introduced to this thing called affiliate marketing.

The idea of selling other people’s products online was something I immediately wanted to know more about.

Knowing I didn’t have to own actual products or even have to purchase any inventory absolutely blew my mind.

So if that’s something you might consider, definitely give those guys a try as I’m sure you will like what they have to offer.

If I can do it, then you definitely can to.

Other than that, I hope this Lifebrook review has given you more than enough information to make a smarter decision.
