Lead Lightning Review – For $7, How Can You Call It A Scam?

Type of Business: Network Marketing (MLM)

Price: $7

Overall Rating: 35/100

I’ve seen a couple of mixed reviews for Lead Lightning, so I thought I’d put in my two cents, to give you a better understanding of what this is all about and whether or not it is worth the $7 or if it’s nothing but a waste of time.

Although I don’t need this product, I did invest the $7, just to see what it is all about, so you can expect and unbiased, honest review here.

What is Lead Lightning?

This is a multilevel marketing (MLM) business which uses marketing training as its product of choice.

Who this is for

This program targets the uneducated newbies looking to make money online. They also target those who have yet to make money online and most especially those that are on a budget.

The Products & Training

If you do join Lead Lightning, don’t be expecting to get some kind of keep you looking young cream or some diluted laundry detergent. As a matter of fact, don’t be expecting anything tangible.

As far as training is concerned, look at getting trained on promoting the same exact system you just purchased. Before I got to the sales page, I ran into this, which made me think twice before joining.

Screen Shot 2015-05-07 at 10.41.04 AM

Although it looked very risky, I still continued to the next step, just to see what the big fuss is all about. It is completely up to you, if you want to do what I just did.

The Price + Compensation Plan

For $7 it’s almost impossible for anyone to say no. That my friend is nothing more than a nice little bait to get you in the program, but some may argue that the product is well worth the price.

$7 is just the starting point, but here is what you can expect once you get your foot in the door. In the world of marketing, you would call these extras an up-sell.

lead-lightning-scam

Regular  Membership: $7

$6 commissions for anyone that pays for this membership under you, which is paid out every week.

Silver Membership: $29.97/month

Earn $15 monthly commissions as long as that person below you continues to pay their membership.

Gold Membership: $53.97/month

Gets you $20 monthly recurring commissions.

* Extras

Diamond Membership: $147

This is a one time payment which will get you a $100 commission

Platinum Membership: $497

Also a one time payment and can get you a $400 commission.

I’m pretty sure you know that in order to make any money, you will need to purchase each level first. If you don’t purchase any of the up-sells, they will be passed up to the person that you signed up under and they will also get the recurring monthly commissions.

It’s a very simple concept, which makes it impossible for you to say no to or you’ll miss out on the commissions. I have done this with a scam called the Empower Network, but the difference was the 100% commissions for their products that went up to as much as $10,000!

You see guys, this is nothing different. They just lowered the price, but they are done the same exact way. I just can’t see how people can do this, so please join at your own risk.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Can make you money
  • Initial product can help your business

Cons:

  • Too pricey
  • Up-sells
  • Is MLM
  • No tangible products
  • Is in the pyramid style business category

Lead Lightning at a Glance

Price: $7 + up-sells

Overall Rating: 35/100

This is not the first buy these overpriced training products and sell them to make money program, so there is no real value in training, which you and I both know is veered towards promoting Lead Lightning because of it’s nice little commissions.

What I Really Think

Trust me guys, I’m against anything that even has a scent of scam, but I like to see the best in any program as long as it is beneficial to it’s customers and members.

This is not going to be easy and what value are you really offering your downlines? You are literally buying products to sell to other people, which will not do anything for them.

I am a full-time online marketer and I do make a full-time income from home, but I am all about anything that offers people value.

I am not a fan of MLM and although I joined an MLM called Pro Travel Plus, I saw opportunity and value, which is what I look for in any program. Not to mention no recruiting required.

If you’re not into the whole MLM thing, you need to try programs like the Wealthy Affiliate. This is great for anyone looking to build a legitimate business online and doesn’t come with crazy up-sells.

Thanks for reading this review of Lead Lightning and hopefully you can use this information and make a wise decision for yourself. If you’ve had any experience with this, please share your thoughts in the comments section below. Cheers!

I am free member of WA and i made a few month back two sites, but the people or owner of this platform send me a email telling me that if i did not upgrade they will delete my two sites and guess what they trashed all the work i did just because i did no upgraded. Do you know if they have this policy of busting people’s site if they do not upgrade? And this platform it is great for beginners and intermediate individuals and with a gift of writing.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at alternate ways to get more leads and $7 obviously was not an issue but I wondered if it was a scam/pyramid thing. I appreciate your honesty. I guess if it sounds too good it probably is. I had joined AIOP so I was trying to find ways to promote it. I like the tools so no big deal either way. Thanks

    Hi John!

Trust all is well with you and your loved ones. Just want to thank you for the value, insight, and enlightening info/review you provided concerning ‘Lead Lightening.’ I had clicked their ad last and looked at it briefly, then saved it for tonight. When I looked at it again, ‘something’ didn’t sit right. So I decided to do a little research and that’s how I got to you, via google. Lol… the listing to choose from was long but, you ranked the best in my opinion! So thankful I didn’t opt in!!! Although the $7.00 was tempting. But thank God that to me, it wasn’t just the low price to get started but, the overall results and impact it would have in the market place. Plus, I do value my name and who I am. Trust this makes sense to you.

I also enjoyed reading your articles, starting with ‘Up-sells,’ and then the others that followed. I thought it was worth the share, so I did that, and posted on my Facebook page. Well, once again thank you for what you do, by providing vital and important content! Will be checking out your recommendation ‘Wealthy Affiliate.’ Have an amazing week do what you LOVE! Later…

    Hi John

Thanks for this review, just got it pitched to me via the hundreds of other email offers I get.
It looked good, however anything that makes it seem easy to earn online is always a red flag to me and so I came upon your review.
They all start with a low price and before you know it,your out of a couple hundred dollars. Very unethical. I’ll give it a miss.

I have been full time for almost 15 years, never actually worked an online business, I have always believed that without that human touch “face to face” building relationship and trust, most people won’t stick with what we as networkers are selling. However just found this affiliate program and I do value opinions outside my network. I do believe in multiple Stream of Incomes . https://app.elify.com/vbc/w9uwre4i?t=6asw3o

The Wealthy Affiliate is by far the best opportunity out there. They charge $49/month, but they have the complete package from training, websites, hosting, and unlimited support. They offer a free membership, so you can actually see what you’re getting yourself into before you commit to anything. That’s one that I know works for sure. Create a free starter account and give it a shot!

This is honestly the first time that I have heard something like this and I think it is completely made up. WA does not pay anyone unless they are promoting them but everyone is doing so will get paid. What is “your site” Charles as I can promise you that EVERYONE gets paid on WA.

However, WA teaches you how to promote any and every product out there, so people get paid from the companies that sell these products, like Amazon, Ebay and many others.

WA is a training and website platform all in one, so they are nothing more than a service and not some “make money online” opportunity that will make you money by selling the same thing you just bought.

It’s either you’re making this story up or those people lied to you but there is no one that is owed even $1 on WA, so you might want to get your facts straight. They are really the best company on the net and anyone will tell you the same, even with any of these recruiting based products.

Hi Neil. I have not joined lead lightening yet but it seemed like a good tool to get leads. It seems to do what it promises get you leads. Seems just like google to me except its just $7 dollars instead $700 a month or more. I went broke on those marketing online and never made a dime and never build a list. Don’t know they say in the gold rush days the person selling the shovel made the most money.

I happen to love the MLM Concept. If people understood it .. the concept more people would be doing it even if they still worked their job. I appreciate what you do here and your entitle to your opinion.

Thanks for the information John. Trying to start in the IM business is tough and can be costly. Lead Lightning almost got me too, but thanks to sites like this one I was able to better inform myself about getting started in the IM business without a big financial risk. It’s crazy to me how all these sites are taking advantage of newbies and sucking us dry. I did find this free site LOTPO that is connected with another site ZNZ. ZNZ is a trail offer site and after you complete enough trail offers (two or three) you receive credit for completing an offer and they pay $20 for every person you refer and does the same. Find it here: http://www.laidofftopaidoff.com. It takes less than $20 to receive offer credit and it’s only a onetime thing. ZNZ even informs you when someone uses your referral code helping you start a list. In my opinion LOTPO is way better than Lead Lightning and is the best system for a beginner to use if they really want to start making money in the IM business with very little money.

TY John this was 2nd time i got this ad from listjoe where every scam under the sun comes in …

Figures $7 LOL too good to be true and it sure is. I also got the organicprospects thing hey 59$ for 70 leads daily ……well somethings wrong here i sent to 560 yesterday and NOT one single signup into my FREE program. YES totally free where people make blogs join bidvertiser (because google adsense is very improbable this year) and i’m trying to get 100 people in using 3 programs or two at laest somepeople don’t like making videos …………. the other one is sharing vids everywhere daily and you get paid even after the 1st share ………….. I checked my stats in the members area and pretty good % clicks as high as 38% some mailings BUT seems no people are joining.

I even added a guarantee pay of $1000 if they DO NOT make any money and a FREE Bonus last e mail for system that i use to win my pick 6 lottery NOT one reply for more info.

I gueess i’ll just make my list from theirs this 1st month by just taking the e mails out and make a file to use in gmail and keeep on sending out until they finally move in..

And 1st batch of 70 i did this with got 9 bounces wooooooooo so if i get more from the other 490 i get 70 more leads ….. any way cant say it’s a scam thier is no guarantee YOU get signups.. but one dude got few sales for his survey affilite program and got paid $150 which of course is only one time..

MY team i keep earning from a % of what they earn in two programs.

THE team concept is simple WE drive traffic to our blogs by posting them up evry where and visiting each others daily. Thats why i want 100 people each member will have 10 blogs made either by me for a fee or by themselves.

I know how to rite E mails short 200 words or less and call to action always focused on the YOU concept it’s all about them not ME …

I’ll try differnt subject lines over n over again …

Thanks for saving me $7 anyway i knew it was a hook to get more cash from me ..

    Hi John,

You have given an honest review. I have a dilemma about this product but what made me wonder about it is the very low price that is a one time pay which made skeptical about it. After reading your review I am cleared of my doubts.

It is like an onion you keep peeling off there will be nothing inside
so there is no real product except the money people pay to join.

One question I would like to ask you is:
Will they give any templates for autoresponder and how good is their AU?

Actually I joined a program called emailmentor
You can visit my affiliate link here
    http://www.myemailmentor.com/s/77784

    Check how good it is.
I am getting $5 per day average since the time I joined about 25 days back.
They include an instant $100 Bonus for joining.

You need to download email list and upload into their account weekly.
    Takes just 7 minutes.

When you read their site you will understand. Moreover he tells the reason
why he is giving away this business to you. Once you read it you will understand
    better.

Monthly you have to pay $47 and you earn $155 to $165 per month.
So net profit is around $100 per month.

You can earn more by referring people to join under you only one level.
$10 for every ref. every month they stay as member (I don’t see any reason
    they will not).

I already earned $120 (bonus excluded) through this system for doing ONLY
half hour work in this month.

    Thanks and regards,
    Jaya

My Email Mentor is another scam Jaya. I don’t usually approve anyone’s comment that tries to promote other companies, but I see an opportunity to save others from another scam. See my review of My Email Mentor here and you’ll see how people are already getting scammed.

        Hello John,
Thanks for your honest review, unfortunately I fell victim to two scams, one being Lead Lightning and the other, GIM SYSTEM Training, which is also supposed to be an emailing system through My Inbox Pro. After I signed up and paid the $29.70 fee to My Inbox Pro, I couldn’t log in to either GIM SYSTEM Training nor My Inbox Pro, which they send me emails constantly, and I told them on many occasions that I cannot log in, after getting no response from them I tried to get a refund on their website and it just goes to an error page, boy do I feel dumb! It really trips me out, because these systems seem legit, and I’ve been trying to find a money making system on the Internet for quite some time now. I get confused with everything people say, like, “if it costs money, then it’s a scam” and then there are those who say, “it takes money to make money”, who should I believe? I’m on a very tight budget, but I know for a fact there’s money to be made online, I just need some real honest guidance. I’ve tried Wealthy Affiliate, didn’t make no money from that one either after paying the $49.00 for 2 months because you also have to pay for hosting, which I could not afford to pay for both. Now I’m studying to become a Copywriter through AWAI, they are a legitimate company and have all the tools and knowledge to teach you everything you need to become a successful copywriter, but within time. You can earn a very handsome living once you understand completely how to write persuasively in an abundance of niches. I’m in need of making money now aside from my copy writing studies, any suggestions?
        Thank you,
        Frances Haddick

I actually learned everything I know from the Wealthy Affiliate Frances but it did take me about 3 months before I made my first $1. The thing about making money with the training from WA is that it is a business that is built and needs time to grow. From that $1, my income has grown and continues to grow, exceeding any job I’ve ever held. I now work from home full-time and I really don’t use any other programs. Best $49 spent. Now what I can do for you, is help you within WA to show you exactly how it’s really done. You can go to my profile here and send me a message so that I can see that you’ve found me. And if anyone else wants help as well, just get in there and let me know where you found me from and I’ll give you a hand. Hope this helps Frances!

Thanks a lot John, I am a single mom and have worked in sales for the last 5 year. I really enjoyed working at HGVC selling mini vacations. I have a child that needs a lot of my time. I am pretty clueless about work from home job, all though I do know there are some ligament ones out there. I love that your doing this because I myself at the moment fall in that bracket. I also am not desperate and trying to do sale! Those two don’t go together, the thing that struck out to me was at the end of the email there was that urgency statement I’m not new songs that raised a red flag I googled it and read what your take was on it and was not surprised. If you have info on a good company to work for I would love info Adams you are a stand up man for putting this out there for people that are not experienced. Once again thank you for your time.
