If ya’ll don’t know what up-sells are, then that might be a good thing. On the other hand, you probably don’t even know what the heck that is. Today I am going to show you what up-sells are and why you need to catch them before it catches you. I just wanted to say ya’ll by the way so don’t hate.
What are Up-sells?
Up-sells are something online marketers use to get the most money out of their websites. Some of these go into the thousands and that is where the madness has got to stop. Do you really think you need to pay thousands of dollars to make money online? I don’t think so, now don’t be stupid, stupid.
I’m not too sure if these online gurus use the same marketing technique but I have ran into so many of them before. You get a product because it’s too cheap that your curiosity wouldn’t let you pass up this “opportunity”.
So you get the product for what, $17 or $19 right? Then you get onto the site, do some training and then you run into the up-sell. It goes something like this, “if you really want to make money online, you should get this, unless you’re not serious.” I can’t stand that BS! But wait, it doesn’t stop there.
Then you hit a point where they’ll build a website for you, which would normally coast you thousands (yeah right) but you will now be getting it for $300. Then you try and close the page and wuddya know? They just dropped the price (insert shocked face here)! I literally just shook my head to that.
You get my point. If you already know what up-sells are then more power to you. If you don’t know, well now you know. Don’t fall for these types of scams because it will only frustrate you and then you will quit. We don’t want that now do you?
The Bait
If they don’t offer you a free membership, they’ll give you some type of cheap price to get in before they throw in the up-sells. Once they get you in, that’s when the bleeding starts. It’s like a money bucket, you will start putting in so much money and probably not see any results. The only one making money is the scammer on the other end of the product
I mean those are good marketing techniques but have some value! If you’re going to make someone pay so much money for a product, at least have something in the end for them. Most of these scammers create a product through Clickbank and give them a bad name. There are tons of products on there that have great value but you do need to be careful because there are scams out there and you will do nothing but transfer money from your bank account to theirs.
The Solution
If there’s one thing that you need to look out for when trying to find the right online marketing company to join it would be the up-sells. Along with looking out for up-sells, you need to stick to the #1 rule for everything in life. “If it seems too good to be true, then it most likely is.”
Just because there are scams out there on the internet, don’t let that fool you. The type of scamming that goes on in the online business world is strictly people using sleezy marketing techniques to let people buy into their scam. What they do is totally legal although it is not ethical.
The internet is where it’s at my friend, hands down. People will tell you about online shopping being unsafe and what not but most of these online identity theft cases start from something physical. You have heard me say this before, there are billions being spent on the internet every single day and that is not going to change anytime soon.
Go Get Em!
With all the information I have given you I hope you can spot a scam from a mile away. These tips will help you find the right online opportunity and you will be sure to be successful on the internet.
Remember one thing, you have the biggest market in the world now use it to your advantage. I hope you found this article to be helpful so if you did, please leave a comment and share this with others, so they too can be successful online. Cheers.

Hi John! Thanks for your information on upsells. I have been in this business for many, many years now, and knew what they were. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way, as a member of Empower Network. Thankfully though I never went “all in” as they called it. I don’t think most Newbies know what they are getting into. In fact I own a domain by the name of affiliatesroadmap.com and I haven’t gotten around to
creating my Blog yet.
One of my negative characteristics is procrastination. So, when I read information like this it just inspires me to get off my butt and get the site built.
Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your information.
Sharon
I was in the Empower Network too Sharon and I did go “all in”. I was one of those newbies who didn’t know what I was getting into and it is one of the hardest lessons I’ve ever learned. Well I’ve lived, learned, and that is why this site exists! Definitely stop procrastinating and just get it done. What I do is I just get on a post and knock it out without worrying about perfection. Just like this post right here, I’m sure I need to touch it up a bit, but the fact that it is done motivates me to do more. You will get there too Sharon so dig deep and get er done!
