Do you know why 97% fail at working from home, or fail at other areas of their life in general?
I will tell you exactly why you should be spending your time with people that have the same goals as you, or at least people that lift you up and help you towards your goals, NOT bring you down.
I’m sure almost all of you have nothing but negativity around you but you don’t even know it and if you don’t understand it now, you might never get to where you want in life.
Get past these “normal” people and I’m sure you will get what you deserve.
They SUCK The Positive Energy Out Of You
It doesn’t seem that true, but when you have a great idea and you share it with your so-called “friends”, they will soon shut your idea down and tell you it won’t work or at least start making up excuses as to why your new idea sucks.
Then what are you left with?
Still a great idea but now you’re feeling down and not as good as you were before.
Don’t get me wrong though, negativity should be your fuel, but DO NOT hang out with these people as a lot of you will start to believe that they are right.
You Will Never See Success
That is the cold hard truth.
It has been proven that you become the average of the top 5 people you hang out with the most and it took me a while to believe it.
So if your circle is filled with druggies, alcoholics, lazy people, or people that are just ‘winging life’, you’re more than likely going to be just like them, and you will not get the success you’ve been trying so hard to get.
You Will Gain Absolutely Nothing From Hanging With Them
What do these negative friends have to offer you?
Absolutely nothing – except for negative energy everyday that is used to bring the positive attitude out of you, and the smile off your face.
That should be all the more reason to cut them loose asap.
It is beyond me, but if you want to get where you want in life, you’re going to get their much easier by cutting the negative people out of your life, whether you want to or not.
They Will Only Use And Abuse You
What if somehow you miraculously pull it off, you eventually become successful while hanging out with these morons and negative people, they are only going to use and abuse you aren’t they?
Correct.
They will use all the money you make and probably until you run out of it.
I honestly don’t see why people waste their time with morons who are only out to do this to them.
Actually, I do know.
I used to feel like I was helping people when I really wasn’t.
I did nothing but spoon feed them and it only made them lazier and expect nothing but handouts every single time.
Happy hour?
I picked up the bill every single time.
Lunch?
I picked that up too.
After a year’s worth of “hanging out”, I soon realized that I wasted more money, rather than growing my business.
Big mistake!
What You Should Do Instead – Cut Them Loose
Cut these people from your life ASAP.
No ifs, no buts, no warnings.
Your time on earth is too short to hang with friends that are only out to bring you down.
One exception – The only exception is if they are family. Like your sister, brother, cousin, or any other close relative.
If they are negative, limit your time with them or give them numerous warnings to stop being so negative, and if they are still sucking the positive energy out of you, it is time to cut them loose.
Or at least temporarily, then you can come back stronger than before, and prove them wrong of course 🙂 Family always deserve second chances.
Find Newer Friends
It might be hard at the start, but trust me – it will be worth it in the end.
Don’t find these friends at the club either, because a large number of them ARE druggies and alcoholics, or just flat out lazy.
But you can never go wrong on the internet.
The world wide web is filled with like-minded people, this is with any niche too.
If you like doing weird things that the current people in your life don’t do, you will find someone online that also enjoy the same hobbies and activities as you.
Fill Your Circle With Like-Minded People
If you want to get where you want in life, a fast way to do it is by hanging with people that have the same interests or goals. You can exchange ideas or just lift each other up and motivate each other.
Like I said, I know it can be hard to find like-minded people in the real world, the internet works wonders and makes any task 100x easier 🙂
If You Want Real World Friends
If you don’t just want friends on the internet, and you are willing to find them in the real world too, here’s something you can do:
If you can’t find these ‘good’ friends, you can still find ones that are positive everyday, they aren’t lazy, they have a job, and try to stay healthy as much as possible.
They are EVERYWHERE, these are the friends you should be hanging out with.
At Least They Won’t Use And Abuse You
And when you do become successful, when you eventually go up and beyond, these new friends are going to keep you up.
They are going to keep you motivated and force you to be a better version of yourself and to set new goals, over 90% of people who are successful today still set goals.
Just because you have ‘made it’, that doesn’t mean it is the end.
You need to keep growing and improving yourself or you WILL fall back to the bottom again.
Conclusion
It isn’t rocket science, and I don’t know why many people still get this wrong.
I had many friends that tried to bring me down (well not tried, they did), I eventually got sick of it and cut them out of my life.
Now I can always stay positive, stay happy, stay motivated, and stay dedicated to reach my goals.
And this is what you should be doing.
The title of this article is my #1 tip that I give to all newbies that want to be a better version of themselves, and especially for people wanting to make money online.
It is rare to see someone making a living on the internet, which is why it is hard to get people to stand by you and your goals.
But these positive people are out there, and the ones that are trying to do the same as you are the people you need to befriend.
The best piece of advice I could leave you with is to let others mind their own business.
Who said they need to know what you do, right?
