I recently came across an article about niche marketing and how it won’t work anymore. With the recent update that Google threw out there, I see nothing but a way for one marketer to take advantage of other marketers.
The thing about this article is that it comes from someone whose site is based around niche marketing.
So how would he possibly make any money if “niche marketing is dead”?
Being in the industry for quite some time, I have a better understanding of how money is made and how others use their expertise to cash in on the uneducated, which is the biggest reason why I created this site.
Once again, I have to save those of you who are still trying to make money online, so please read along as I will show you how to be smarter than most.
Leveraging From Others With No Knowledge
This is a big problem I’ve seen happen too many times in my career and this is also how I got suckered into joining a couple of the biggest scams to ever walk the face of the internet.
So when someone knows a little more than the average bear, it is too easy to tell them that their system works, when it really doesn’t.
You, being the newbie, will of course get curious and see what the product is really about causing you to get sidetracked, almost forcing you to stop what you set out to do in the first place.
With almost every single product that I’ve come across, they were geared towards making the owner of the product money and not the person using their “system”.
In other cases, I was just baited into some type of recruiting style network marketing business that is ran by nothing but hype.
I really can’t stand those!
Back in the day I used to think that that was the only way to work from home until I came across this thing called niche marketing.
Yup, the same exact thing that people are trying to say won’t work anymore is the same exact thing that got me started to making a full-time income online and it is also the same exact method that pays for me to live the life I live.
How They Use You
I’m sure there are many of you out there that have maybe given blogging and/or niche marketing a try and have probably failed.
Just like you, there are thousands (if not millions) of you out there that have gone down the same path.
So guess what you and those other people become?
A target.
A big fat target market for the next guru to take advantage of.
So now that you are thinking that you can’t make money with a blog or a niche website, the seasoned marketer (aka the guru) will use it to their advantage and create something to “help” you.
Voila!
A new product has been created and you and the other failed bloggers will get a chance to really make some money this time.
Or not.
Failed Blogger + Fuzzy Penguin = Panic
If there was an alternative to blogging and affiliate marketing from the get-go, it would’ve been introduced a long time ago and not right after Google threw out another animal.
So now that the Penguin has scared a lot of people (although there were no big changes), the guru has now decided to cash in on the panic that the little bear has created.
I’m sure all the online marketers sat there and waited to see what kind of damage was caused, with most seeing little to no changes in ranking unlike the first time black hat marketers were punished and lost a whole website overnight.
Crazy, but it happened.
Nothing but white hat marketers remained and those are the same niche marketers that are still cashing in by doing things the right way.
From getting ranked in Google being a task and a half, there will always be those that try to deter you from competing for a spot in Google’s rankings.
If you’re doing things the right way and you have a targeted niche, there is no reason why Google won’t rank you.
It may sound a little scary every time there’s an update, but just remember that every single person that is doing exactly what you’re doing is going to get affected.
Good or bad.
“Amazon pays too little”
“You can’t get ranked in Google”
Blah Blah Blah!
Niche Marketing is Not Dead!
I’m sure this type of headline will scare any blogger or online marketer that does a lot of SEO and that is completely normal.
Now if you have a very established blog and online presence, I’m sure you saw little to no change in where your site ranks among the search engines.
Now if you’re struggling to get ranked and you’ve just started on your site, please, and I mean please, do not stop what you are doing.
Your efforts will pay off. Period.
Keep moving forward and build out that site like you planned in the first place.
Give Into the Guru and You Will Most Likely Find Yourself Looking for the next best thing.
Been there, done that and yes, I have made the mistake of trying to use other methods that aren’t niche related, just to find myself on the losing side of things.
Should You Rely on Google?
I wouldn’t and you shouldn’t either.
The thing about online marketing, blogging, affiliate marketing, or anything related to making money online is the fact that it is always evolving.
So you as the online marketer needs to step up your game, get out of your comfort zone, and evolve as well.
Article marketing or simply blogging your behind off is a great way to do things and is still my recommendation for anyone starting out, but that is not all you can do.
Why?
To sum it up, it will get you the most targeted traffic out there and gives you the potential of having it bring you traffic for many years to come.
Yeah it may not last forever, but that’s why creating fresh, new, and relevant content will add to and replace stuff that gets old.
An Established Website Will Always Work and that’s just how it will be for many years to come.
Once your site has age and a consistent flow of content, there is no way that you can not obtain traffic through your niche marketing efforts.
Try to Shortcut and You Will Get Punished
What the gurus are trying to do is get you to either join some overpriced MLM type business or use your desperateness as a way to make them money.
So if you stop what you’re doing now or even give into what they have to offer, you will only be setting yourself back even more.
I can tell you that some of these marketing strategies will work, but once Google throws out another little animal, you will be scratching your head looking for the next best way to make money online.
So Yes, Niche Marketing Will Always Work
I run several niche websites and all have different topics. After the panda came out and did its Kung Fu, every single one of my sites held up.
So if you’re wondering if niche marketing is dead, I think that should give you your answer.
Now if you feel like giving your money away and wasting your time, go right on ahead and put that money right into another marketer’s bank account.
If you’re struggling to make money online with niche marketing, you’re obviously with the wrong program.
I have seen many affiliate marketing training programs out there and none can compare to my #1 recommendation, which is called the Wealthy Affiliate.
From building out your site to getting it seen in Google, you will have everything you need to run a solid niche website.
From getting help by the owners and having your site looked at by other successful niche marketers, you can expect nothing but the best service.
Oh and they do offer a free membership as well as 2 free websites. So if you’re still struggling to make money online or you are doubting the whole niche marketing thing, then I suggest you at least give this one a try.
I am a member there too and I have helped hundreds of other marketers finally make the money that they’ve been trying to make.
Click here to create a free starter account and you will see what I’m talking about.
Until next time, don’t let the gurus get the best of you and do know that niche marketing works and will always work as long as the internet exists.
Happy blogging!
