Is KulaBrands A Scam Or Should I Invest?

March 12, 2017 //  by John

kula-brands-scam-reviewI’ve had quite the sales pitch from a good friend of mine about this site and I was actually impressed.

In this KulaBrands review, I want to show you exactly what this site is about and most especially if it is a legitimate opportunity or another make money from home scam.

Whether or not the people telling you that this is the real deal or a scam, means nothing until you actually get in the door to find out for yourself.

But the real question is…

Is their “real business opportunity” really that good?

Can you make a living just from working for a few hours a week like they claim?

Let’s find out more before you commit to something that might not even work.

KulaBrands Review

Name: KulaBrands

Website: www.kulabrands.com

Owners: Peter Gantner (CEO) and Doug Kyle

Business Type:

Price: $199 or $20/month for 12 months

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

About KulaBrands

Founded by Peter Gantner and Doug Kyle, Kula Brands was created to change the “home business model”, for the better.

Both dudes have a background in network marketing, with Visalus and Fuel Matrix being some of the companies that they were involved with.

How it Works

Basically, inventors, artists, and entrepreneurs join this system to launch new products and systems, while you give your feedback and become a partner with them to earn residual income for years to come.

If you help them launch a product, and get it to the shelves, then that’s when the big bucks happen.

It’s not as simple as it sounds, but that is the possibility of it all.

Basic Overview

Inventors and entrepreneurs take their inventions or products to the mass retail market (that is you), and as long as you stay a KulaBrand member, you can earn reverse royalties on those products for worldwide gross sales.

The products that you get involved in, help out with, share ideas, and get to the shelves are the ones that make you money.

So they claim that all you need to do is complete a series of one-time actions and then get paid for your efforts for as long as you live.

The more actions you do on a daily basis, the more money you can make – due to residual income adding up.

How To Help Investors

Crowdfunding

Inventors/entrepreneurs will start a crowdfund up before building a product, and if you ADD money to it (contribute), and that product eventually gets to the shelf, you make residual income for many years.

Brand/Marketing

If you’re a great marketer and know how to build awareness for products and services, this is another way to do things.

If you have no idea on what you are doing, KulaBrands will show you every step of the way for the best methods on how to do things.

This typical system is called social software, which is provided for you at no extra cost.

Sales Pool

You also get the opportunity to create your own e-commerce store, allowing you to earn points for every sale made on your website/store.

I’ll explain more about points in a second.

The store is fully hosted and maintained by KulaBrands themselves, which is also included in the membership.

How Exactly Do You Make Money?

So the best way to make money with this system is by contributing into the crowdfund.

If you contribute money and the product makes it to the shelf, KulaBrands receives royalties for all sales and those royalties then get split between all the contributors, which is you and others that joined.

Pretty simple, right?

The products range from books, to clothing, and even some As Seen on TV type products, which I am definitely a big fan of.

The Pools & Points

You get points every time you contribute to a product, whether this be through crowdfunding, marketing, or your online e-commerce store, each one will give you points when you help out.

The Founders Pool

You get points every time you contribute money into the crowd fund and the more points you accumulate, the more money you make back.

Brand Marketing Pool

Another way to earn points is by giving awareness to the product.

This can be done by sharing it to social media or anything similar.

It all gets tracked by the “in-house” system, so they know exactly how many REAL clicks it gets.

Direct Online Pool

This is your e-commerce store that you create, so when you sell products through your store, you do not earn commissions on each sale, instead you earn points.

Do They Bring Anything New To The Table?

Yes they do. This is definitely an interesting concept and not something you see everyday.

They think like me, they know MLM businesses simply don’t work, which is why they have created something different.

This is also the same reason why I think affiliate marketing will always beat MLM.

They are steering away from the MLM business model and building something that will actually help people create their own businesses online.

The Price

To join Kulabrands it is going to cost you $199 or $20/month for twelve months which ends up being $240.

Definitely a good option for those of you that can’t cough up $199.

There have been rumors that it can go up to $299 in the upcoming months or years, now when they plan on changing it is completely unknown.

You can access by going to their official website: www.kulabrands.com

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Can make you money

Cons

  • Costs a lot to join
  • Very risky
  • Unpredictable
  • No guarantees

So is KulaBrands A Scam?

It is not a scam but it is definitely something very risky and pretty much a big gamble.

There’s nowhere on the website that gives you security of your investments and things like that, but I do think that this is a different business on its own.

Do I recommend it?

To the right person, yes.

If you’re not willing to take a risk, this is not for you.

In the business world, and as entrepreneurs, we are always willing to take a risk without any guarantees, but that is just how things work.

I actually think this is a decent company and the owner doesn’t look like he’s going to take your money and run.

Now whether or not this thing lasts is a different story and is completely up to you.

In the end, you know what you’re getting yourself into, so you really have no one to blame but yourself if this thing does crash.

What I Recommend

As a businessman, I have learned so many things in my career and I have taken so many risks that should’ve never been taken.

I guess you have to fail (in my case, more than once) in order to find success and take better risks.

Throught my online career I have seen all types of schemes and being desperate didn’t help me much.

After throwing away so much money, I finally figured out that it is very much possible to make money online but it does come with some work.

I joined a community called the Wealthy Affiliate, where I learned a thing called affiliate marketing and I quit my job thanks to what I have learned there.

If you are looking for the least risky way to make a living, you need to at the very least, give them a try.

You can read more here on what they are all about and see exactly why I think they have the best business model for the little guy.

Other than that, thanks for reading my Kulabrands review and hopefully you too can make a final decision.

Is Kulabrands for you?

Thanks for reading!

Kula Brands is a PONZI SCHEME…all the Peter and Doug want it more money and they do nothing with it. Excuses and lies is all you get. What a SCAM! They give points away like they are worth something in exchange for more “investments” into the company. The final straw was raising money for Veterans and pocketing it to pay employees.

WA comes at an unreasonable cost and that is why it is a hard buy for me. I registered for a month and before I could even get a hang of it and do all the videos and learning that one month subscription had expired. And the money is gone and you pay for another month. In my opinion, WA is expensive and not as good a program as people say it is.

Unreasonable cost? $50 a month is unreasonable? If you are not into business then WA is definitely not for you Chuks as that is what they teach. And if you know anything about business, you will know that you can not start/run a business for $50 a month. Also, how in the world can you make any money in one month? Again, businesses don’t flourish in a month, two months, or even a year! WA is not a get rich quick scheme so of course you will not make any quick money using what they teach. In your opinion, what is a good and cheap program that actually works Chuks? Within the 4 years of working from home and trying many programs, I am curios as to what you consider cheap and actually works. I’ll be waiting.

So… it’s a year later have you or do you know anyone who ever made any money with Kulabrands? So far in a year the only “products” they have any affiliation in selling are some overpriced children’s bonds and something called ZipNStore that only an idiot would waste money on; its an adhesive-attached refrigerator rack to hold ziplock bags of food. It is also grossly overpriced for what it is. I was surprised you said that “the owner doesn’t look like he’s going to take your money and run”, who do you believe “the owner” is? If you did just a little research, you would have found that the principals at Kula Brands all come from failed MLM backgrounds, so in fact they seem very likely to take everyone’s money and run. I’ve been looking into this company for over a year because they hooked a childhood friend of mine. She is no longer speaking to me, because I found out plenty that she did not want to hear. So now I’m trying to find one single person who has made any money a year later and so far I have not found one. Do you know of anyone?

Interesting write up, thanks. My decision will not be an easy one either. I am very familiar with WA, they are who I initially started with. I enjoy learning from several people and it is so hard to pick and choose the right avenue for you and your future. In the end, it does come down to you and what you feel you may be best at.

I agree with you man, but the options are also very, very limited. How long were you with WA?

        Kulabrands makes zero sense
        – The numbers don’t add up.
        – Lots of unsubstantiated claims
        – Many have left and continue to leave with more and more complaints every day
