Do People Really Make Money Blogging?

I have been asked this question too many times, so I thought I’d answer it through a nice little blog post. I want to not only show you that people do actually make money blogging, but also to show you the true potential that even just one blog has and what it can do for your future.

What is Blogging?

Blogging is nothing more than a website sharing something that interests you and other people that are trolling the net looking for information.

Unlike the old days when blogs were used mainly to share stuff you’re interested in, they are a great tool for making money.

Still the same concept with talking about interesting stuff and giving out information, but now there is just such a huge earning potential, that you would be crazy not to monetize your site.

The Earning Potential

There is just so much money to be made online, its ridiculous. From just one site, I was able to make over $2,000 a month. That’s just one site!

I am now working on a couple of other sites, so that I can double that. But with that one site, the income that it brings in will continue to grow as the days go by and I add more content to it.

Did you know that there are 2 billion people on the internet every single second of every single day? I don’t know if you can find a bigger market than what the online world has to offer.

But there’s too Much Competition

I have heard this a couple of times and it’s also getting old. I can honestly tell you that some niches are a little more competitive than others, but there is not one niche that has too much competition.

If you get the proper training and understand how to narrow this niche down, you will know what I mean when I say there is no competition out there.

It’s like saying, no I don’t want to open a fast food joint because McDonalds is still up and running. It doesn’t work that way in the physical world and it definitely doesn’t work in the online world.

How it All Works

There are many ways to make money with your blogs, but I want to show you just 2 ways. If you just use one of these methods, you will generate some type of income for sure.

Advertising

The first one is through advertising. This is the most common way, but people tend to overlook these ads and avoid them.

Unlike the real world, you mainly pay for your ads just to be seen right? In the online world, you can pay for clicks. Same thing applies when you are the owner of a site.

Your visitors click on your ads, you make money. Simple as that. Imagine just 1,000 people clicking on one of your ads that brings in $.20 a click. That’s $200 just from people clicking and not even buying anything!

Affiliate Marketing

This is the absolute best way to make money through your blog and also a way to make more money. The thing is, this time you actually have to sell something.

I take that back. You have to promote something for other people on sites like Amazon.com, and if they clicked on a link from your site and purchased something from them, you will make money.

Some companies pay as little as 7% commissions and some pay as much as 75%. You can see how much money there is to be made just from this method alone.

My main focus is affiliate marketing, but I do have some ads that I run on my other sites. Some sites do better with ads and some sites do better with just affiliate products.

You will Not Get Rich Overnight

I know that making money is our main goal, but this is also the part where people mess up. I can promise you that you are not going to start bringing in $2,000 on your first month so if you think this is going to happen, you might want to find another career.

The beauty about blogging for money is that although it can take time, when that time comes, it comes. Ever hear the saying when it rains it pours? Well that’s kind of what happens here.

Then you continue sharing information and whatnot just to scale your business and make more money. Put in a good 2 years with just one blog and I can promise you that you will make more money than you can possibly imagine.

So Do People Make Money Blogging?

Absolutely! After I got involved with the online marketing world, I now know more rich people from the internet than I ever did in my real life.

We all have the same mentality when it comes to an online business and it is also why we were able to find success outside of the 9-5 world.

Get your mind into the fact that there is people making money blogging and you too can make some of your own, just talking about things you already love.
