Making money and vacation almost doesn’t go hand in hand. I mean, you worked your butt off so that you can go on vacation, right? So why would you want to work instead of putting your toes in the sand?
For me, I am actually on a mini vacay and yes, I am still making money. Unlike normal people, I take vacations but it doesn’t require me to work my butt off to take one.
Being a work from home, stay at home dad, the work I do is not your typical 9-5 that requires me to clock in and clock out in order to get paid.
Making money on vacation is something most people don’t even think about, so good job for you on doing some research.
99.9% of everyone taking a vacation are apart of the working world. They don’t always think about making more money and they live such a structured life without even knowing it.
Today I want to not only show you how to pop out cash while you sip on your margarita, but also how I was able to quit my day job to do things I actually enjoy.
So How do I do it?
Well I already work from home, so I already have the luxury of taking my work on the go. With a laptop and a good internet connection, I can work anywhere.
Literally.
Now I’m sure you know I don’t have a boss and I’m sure you know that I don’t get regular paychecks like a normal 9-5er.
What I do is an amazing thing blogging.
Yup, blogging.
I’m sure most of you don’t know the true benefits of running your own blog, so I want to show you exactly why I personally will never see a normal job for as long as the internet is around.
- I talk about things I enjoy
- I don’t pay more than $50/month to run my blog
- I work whenever I want to
- I help people (like I’m doing here)
- There is no bigger market than the world wide web
- I make money 24/7
There are 101 reasons as to why I love blogging, but let’s just focus on how I do it while I’m on vacation or pretty much, while I’m not doing any actual work but still having money show up in my bank account.
It is more than possible to make money at any time of the day, but there are certain things you need to understand or you will probably be disappointed.
Blogging Pays, After the Fact
What most people don’t understand and can’t seem to grasp is the fact that blogging does not pay you right away.
In most cases, it won’t even pay you in a month. With this FACT, most will abandon ship and call it quits simply because they haven’t seen a penny.
Every hear the saying “work hard now, play harder later”? I don’t even know if that’s the actual saying, but it’s something along those lines.
Any who, this holds true to the blogging world and if you can understand that, you will become a very successful blogger and you will very well make money while you’re on vacation, just like I did today.
Patience is Key
Understanding what it takes and having the patience doesn’t come naturally for everyone, but if you can be just a little bit patient, the end result is amazing.
The thing about running an online business (because blogging is a business) is that it’s an always growing, make more money as you go, type business.
There’s not many jobs that can give you a raise when you want it and there very much isn’t one that gives you raises monthly.
With blogging, you can decide when you want a raise. You are in control of what you make and you make all the decisions.
You are the boss.
So if you want to take a vacation and get paid while on it, blogging is the way to go. Then of course, you can always do work when you have time.
Speaking of Work
I always do work throughout the day and sometimes it’s not as productive as I’d like it to be, but the fact is that I do it on my own time.
So remember that if you do decide to take on something as serious as blogging, you need to treat it as such.
Just because you do things on your own time doesn’t mean you can procrastinate and make money, because that’s not how it works.
Go on vacation for a month thinking you don’t have a job and I can promise you that you won’t be making the money like most power bloggers do.
Start your blog today and you will see how you too can make money while on vacation and even in your sleep.
Thanks for reading and hopefully I have given you some insight on just how people are making money in the oddest times of the day. Good luck and happy blogging!
