I don’t blog for a living (kinda) but I did get my start with a blog. Within the past two years I have learned so much and it wasn’t all business related either.
Blogging has completely changed my life for the better and I am forever grateful for what the Wealthy Affiliate and the internet has done for me and my online career.
I have created some successful blogs and I can gladly say that I work from home full-time thanks to well, blogging.
With that being said, I want to help as many people as I can become not only a successful blogger, but successful online and in life.
Here are several ways that blogging can change your life and how you can start a successful blog of your own.
1.) Income
Most people don’t know this, but the amount of money that can be made from a single blog is absolutely amazing.
There aren’t many jobs that allow you to dictate how much money you can make and blogging just so happens to be one of them.
I mean, who pays you to talk about something you are already interested in?
Probably no one.
Why does blogging have such a huge potential to make you thousands upon thousands of dollars? Well, because you have the biggest market at your fingertips.
Imagine if your blog brought in just $5,000/month for talking about things that you are already interested in. That would completely change a lot of people’s lives and I know it can help big time.
This is just the obvious, but also reality.
2.) It Expands Your Brain
And not in a way that your head is about to explode. You will just become this info absorbing learning machine that will continue to learn about things that most people will never have a clue about.
Before I started my first blog, I really didn’t know what to expect and I didn’t know how much nonsense I held in this dome of mine.
The only thing I knew was that I wanted to make money online and blogging was one of the few legit ways to do exactly that.
So fast forward 2 years and what we have here is a full-time blogger. And even up until this day, I am not only learning about how to better my online business, but also about myself.
Blogging will do a lot more for you than just make you money, so this is just one of the many benefits that come with something so simple.
3.) You are Helping People (Literally)
One of the most satisfying things about blogging is the fact that you are helping people. I love to help people and if you’re telling me that I can get paid for it, then why not?
As a blogger you will have people that share the same interests like you and they are most likely going to turn to the internet when they have questions.
Every person that has been on a computer or some type of mobile device has done one very common thing. They have “Googled” something.
Want to know how to bake a cake?
You Google it.
Want to know what other people think about a product?
You Google it.
By doing something so simple as doing product reviews, you can make money online. And yes, this comes in the form of blogging as well.
4.) Allows You To Meet New People
This is a big part of blogging. As a blogger, I have grown distant from the people I used to hang around with and this was only for the best.
I’m not saying that I don’t like them, but the truth is that you really are who you hang around with. One of the few ways to be different is to distance yourself or that crew will get you no where.
I still love my friends to death, but connecting with people that do what I do has been a complete game changer in my life.
I remember my first trip for Wealthy Affiliate to the super affiliate conference and meeting some of the millionaires in the biz for the first time. It was just amazing.
Not only was I able to meet someone who actually understood what I do, but I was able to connect with them in every other way imaginable.
This one trip alone was a big addition to my wealth of knowledge and the people who do this stuff are truly an inspiration to entrepreneurs across the world.
5.) Keeps You on Your Toes
We all know things. The problem we have is remembering and applying those things.
A lot of the time when I write a blog post it’s almost like I’m just reminding me about things that I already know of, but fail to apply. I’m sure this can go for a lot of us.
What you talk about on your blogs is to share with the world, but most of the time you are either trying to give yourself a reminder about something or you’re simply trying to vent.
We are all human and we all can use a shoulder to lean on. Blogging is a great outlet to things and personally I find it very relaxing and somewhat of a stress relief.
Then I find it being a chore, which is a great indicator that you are not on top of your game. Blog with a passion.
It helps.
Blogging IS a Business
I don’t care what anyone tells you, just know that something so simple as blogging is an actual business. Not only can you make more money than almost everyone you know, but it allows you to do so much more in life.
Now if you treat your blog like some type of “I’ll post on you every other week” type of business, you can expect to make a very small return.
Treat it like the business it is and you will see amazing results. I love blogging and I love my business. I’m sure my family appreciates it too and I wouldn’t trade this job for anything else.
I hope this post has inspired some (if not all) of you and hopefully you find the true potential that a blog has. If you are looking to make money online, blogging is a must if you want to figure out how everything else works online.
