Some of us are a lot shyer than others and sometimes finding the perfect career is not that easy. Today I want to share what I think are the best jobs for shy people and how you can get them
Shy people tend to steer clear from jobs that require human interaction altogether, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t work.
Because there’s a lot of them out there, shy people usually do not get a job, requiring them to depend on a family member or close friend to support them.
The ones where you don’t have to talk to anyone whatsoever are very hard to find. but there are some out there, trust me.
Now I know you don’t want your family supporting you, you don’t want to depend on other people for the rest of your life.
You want to be an intelligent and independent person so you can take on the world by yourself.
Keep reading to discover all the good jobs and be sure to stay towards the end, because I have some exciting things to share.
Network And Computer Systems Administrators
If you’re tech savvy, then there’s a possibility you can catch yourself a nice job of administering computers all day.
I would highly recommend you work with someone else, so they can do all the communicating and whatnot, and you can do the paperwork and the actual “hands-on” tasks.
But sadly, this isn’t for everyone, so you will need to be experienced in this field if you wish to pursue it.
Animal Care And Service Workers
The best part about this job is that animals don’t talk back! You don’t feel insecure around them, you don’t feel nervous, and you hardly ever have to interact with humans.
Again, you could work for a company (which is more recommended), then there’s little-to-no human interaction involved.
Now if you want to take on a much larger role, you can create your own animal care business.
It’s entirely up to you.
Court Reporter
You probably think that being a court reporter means you’re in the middle of it all and you have to speak in front of everyone.
No, no, no my good friend, this is much better than that.
It’s just a matter of coming in to the court room, sitting down, writing down notes, and then leaving when it’s finished.
Of course, there’s a little bit of small talk in the office, but they’ll eventually become close coworkers when you get to know them and it will just get much easier overtime.
Geoscientists
One of my favorite ones due to the high amount of pay you can get, AND because I love nature 🙂
You’re outside all day, in the field, researching and recording your findings.
I’d rather be outside and “partially free” than being cooped up in a small office all day – especially when you can see the sun shining down and everyone outside enjoying it all, while you still have “5 hours to go”.
Financial Analyst
Data, numbers, stocks, and bonds.
That’s all you’ll be working on.
You study trends in the business world and write down everything you find and you hardly EVER have to interact with your clients as the only time you have to do so is during “checkups”.
I’d like to carry this one in with being an accountant.
More often than not, an accountant spends most of his time dealing with NUMBERS, not people!
Photographer
What I like about the photographer job is that you are often expected to be quiet and focused as possible, obviously so that they can get the best pictures to capture the moment.
You can work for a company or create your own business – “Joe Bloggs Photographing”, “Mastermind Photographing”.
The world is your oyster, choose a name you’ll love and it will become fond of you.
Furthermore, you could consider being a wildlife photographer as well. Since animals don’t talk (obviously), you’ll have a much easier time getting through your day.
Meatworks Plant
As a meat worker, it is 99% work, and only about 1% of it is talking.
Since it’s so busy, you hardly get any TIME to talk to the person next to you.
Furthermore, there’s no “checking in”, and no “talking to the boss” before work starts.
It’s just a matter of strolling in, keeping to yourself, getting changed into appropriate work clothing, then heading in to start your job.
You then start working for the day and that is it.
Your boss will see if you’re at work and check you off, so there’s little-to-no talk as a meat worker, which is why I decided to include it in this list.
Freelance Writer Or Blogger
If you want to absolutely avoid everyone, every single day, your best choice would be to become a blogger – or a freelance writer at the very least.
Since blogging is 100% work from home, you’re able to make a full-time income without even leaving your house.
This means you can get up when you please and stay in your pajamas for as long as you want.
Now I don’t know about you, but to me that sounds like the perfect job for a shy person – no human interaction whatsoever!
What Should You Do?
Well I know shy people have a lot of insecurities and they absolutely hate interacting with people. So there’s only one “good” option here.
You could become a freelance writer or blogger, for the simple fact that there is 0 human interaction.
Now I would rather it be a blogger, since freelance writing only gives you temporary money, but they will both pay.
Do know that blogging will allow you to make money for years to come, taking into consideration that you treat it like a proper business.
But that’s what you are looking for, isn’t it? A “J.O.B” where you don’t have to talk to anyone and you can make just as much money as the people who are in outgoing jobs, the ones that focus solely on human interaction.
And oftentimes you can earn more money being a blogger.
There is NO limits.
So that would be my decision, and that is my preferred choice for you.
If you’re ready to get started, you definitely need to checkout a program called the Wealthy Affiliate.
It is actually the same place that taught me everything I know about making money online and they have an amazing blogging platform that will help you run and maintain your blog.
Still think you’re the shy type?
I hope you found this article to be helpful to you, so for all you shy people out there…this is for you.
Cheers!
