Most of you are probably asking yourself, if you will ever be able to retire. That is a question that I like to elaborate on a lot because I personally look at 401k’s a lot differently.
At least now.
I used to invest so much into retirement before the light bulb turned on, and I realized that I will be doing this for the rest of my life unless I did something about it.
That’s when I went on my quest to find out how to make more money so I can “live” retired rather than saving up for a retirement that I would probably never be able to enjoy.
There is nothing wrong with a retirement plan but just like most people who even get to retire, they are having to find another job because their retirement plan isn’t able to fund the lifestyle they had before retirement.
Don’t get me wrong, doing nothing and getting paid is definitely a good thing and is something you should look forward to.
But…
What if investing into a retirement and busting your behind off is not the only way. Let me show you how I took the road less traveled and am now able to live retired.
Well, kind of.
Do You Know how to Think Like Everybody Else Doesn’t?
This is something that will not come naturally and it always comes with a bunch of negativity and hatred for some reason.
The one thing I don’t get is how it’s always going to be the people living paycheck to paycheck that try to tell you what to do or how to run your life.
They are also the ones that will tell you how important it is to invest into a 401k and how you need to stay at your job for as long as you can.
I Think it’s Time to Wakeup
After serving 12 years in the US Army, working a regular 9-5, and working at getting my degree, I quit every single one at the same time.
Like I said, everyone thought I was crazy and I knew what to expect. From the pep talk that my mother gave me, to everyone else trying to tell me what to do, I have heard it all.
Being that I knew what to expect, I had to remind myself not to fall into their trap. They were not doing any better than I was and they probably never will, so I had to block them out.
Try and Surround Yourself With Positive People, At Least Try
One thing I’ve learned to do in my little journey towards retirement was to look around and observe what every single person was doing.
99% of the time it was other people grabbing a bite to eat before they went back to work, but then there was always that 1% that got me questioning what they did.
You can already tell that they weren’t doing what everyone else was doing, but you can also tell that they were living a better life.
It’s really hard surround yourself with positive people because well, they’re hard to find. The people we are most likely around, will always tell you how to do normal things.
Get that promotion, save up for retirement, and work some more. Do you really think that is how we are all supposed to live? You probably do, and I can’t blame you.
Sacrifice is Key
Not everyone is willing to make any type of sacrifice, simply because we all like instant gratification. I used to think that way, until I realized that I would be doing the same exact thing 20 (even 20) years down the road, unless I made some sort of sacrifice.
For me, I turned to the internet. After watching an infomercial from a fine young fella named Anthony Morrisson, that is when my journey began.
He is a con artist mind you, but he did get me looking for a legit way to make money online. So even if he scammed me, I still have to thank him for introducing me to the online world.
I guess we all have to fail at one point before we actually make it, right?
With the biggest market in the world right in front of me, I knew that this was my way out of the 9-5 grind and there was nothing that was going to stop me either.
I figured that if I can sacrifice 5 years (just 5) of my young life, I would be able to make enough money to survive without my day job and the military.
Fast Forward 2 years
In just that little amount of time I was not only able to quit my job, but I was able to do most things that people only dreamed of.
I make enough money to pay for everything I am obligated to as well as have some to do some fine dining and whatnot.
I got invited to the Las Vegas conference for super affiliates, last week, which is something I thought I would never do that fast.
The biggest accomplishment of all (not like I even care) was to hush the crowd of negative people. Everyone that has tried to tell me I’m crazy or didn’t believe in what I did, well, they’re believers.
Not because I told them either, but because they just know. Now guess who they turn to when they need to borrow money? This guy!
Aim High…Really High
So folks, if you really want something, and if you really want it that bad, you really need to go for it. I don’t care what ANYONE tells you, you need to do what you want.
Life really is too short and if you are going to do like everyone else is, you will wake up tomorrow and do the same thing you did today.
Make a change, think outside the box, and make it happen.
If I can change my life in under 2 years, I’m pretty sure you can do it in 5.
Or of course you can always put in your 20-30 years and hope you hit anything close to the 85% max that you are allowed for your retirement.
Opportunities are Endless
So many people think I get some kind of income from some will that was left for me but that my friend is not the case.
I worked for the government and served my time in time in the military, so I know what hard work is.
The one thing I’ve learned is that you need to work smarter, not harder. If you can apply that in a way in which you can benefit, you will end up on the winning side of things.
I ran into this thing called online marketing and that’s when the real work began.
I was learning everything about this amazing business while I was at work and that’s when I knew I had to give it my all or I’ll probably never make it online.
My Start at Success
Like I said, I ran into a scam (well a couple of scams) before I realized that there is no push button or some secret trick to making money online.
Just like anything else, you still need to put in the work if you want to make it. The beauty about all this is that it takes a lot less time, a lot less work, but makes a lot more money.
Nothing happened overnight, but within my first year as an online marketer, I was able to make more money than I did with my job and the military put together.
You Can do it Too!
This is not the only way to make a living, but it is definitely one of the best ways to do it. I work form home, work whenever I want to, and I have no one to answer to.
I don’t care what multilevel marketing salesman tells you that you can be financially free and you are going to be your own boss, they are all liars.
I was once in their shoes and believe me, it is not an easy job and there are no guarantees.
With online marketing, you dictate everything. From how much money you make, to when you want to make that money. You are the boss.
