Blogging Can Make You More Money Than You Think

For most people, blogging is all about sharing your life with the online world, while for others, it’s a way to make a living, and a good one at that.

Today I want to show you how blogging can not only be fun, but how it can make you some life changing income, just like it did for me.

What is a Blog?

The word blog comes from the term weblog, which was what it was referred to in the 1990’s. In a nutshell, it is nothing more than a website, in which a person uses to share opinions and links to other sites, just like this one.

In case you didn’t know this, you are on my blog. One of the many that I do update on a daily basis. As you can see, I don’t tell people about what I’m eating right now and I don’t talk about everything I’m doing.

I once asked a buddy of mine if he wanted to make money blogging, and you know what his response was? “I don’t like people knowing my business, man”.

I tried to explain it to him, but that didn’t work. It was more like he didn’t want to hear what I had to say, and he thought his job was the best in the world. But, oh well, at least I tried.

Why Create a blog?

I’m not a salesman, and I am not into network marketing either, although I did join one (Pro Travel Plus) simply because they claim that recruiting is completely an option, and I do like to travel.

I tried to explain that to him, but that didn’t work either. Let me break this down for you and you tell me if this is not one of the best opportunities you’ve ever seen, or you think this is nothing but hype.

The Markets Doesn’t Get any Bigger Than This

I don’t know if you know this or not, but there are over 2 billion people on the internet, every single second of every single day.

On top of that, everyone is turning to the internet to shop, simply because it is a lot more convenient than going to the mall just to get one thing.

With sites like Amazon.com, you can find almost anything that you’re looking for, all at the tip of your fingers. Shipping is about to be free for almost everything, and you can expect to get your item in under a week.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to shop at malls and I like to see what I’m buying most of the time, but just know that there are millions of people shopping online even as we speak. Or as you read this post.

The Earning Potential From a Blog is Through the Roof

With the amount of people online, there is really no ceiling on how much money you can make online. Once you make that first dollar, it’s all about scaling your business (yup, blogging is a business) and making more money.

I once owned a bar, and I can tell you that there is no way on earth I could make the amount of money I make there compared to what I make online.

What if you could add an extra $1,000 a month, would you do it? An extra $5k? Once I made a decent amount from my blog, I immediately quit everything else I was doing.

Most people thought I was crazy for getting out of the military, but we all have different wants and goals in our life, and being deployed was not going to be apart of my family’s lives.

I know I make all this sound so simple, but there’s a lot more you should know, before you start thinking that you’re going to be the next online millionaire overnight.

How Money is Made

Yes, there is so much money to be made online, but it’s not made overnight. There are hundreds of ways you can do this, but it all starts with one thing. A Website!

There are simple steps to the whole blogging process and making money, but there are specific ways on how everything is done. If you want to start a blog, you will need the following.

A website
Content
Affiliate programs
Traffic to your site
A Bank account

This is actually a blog from a member of the program that I use to make money blogging, and she makes money from her blog, which talks about scrapbooking.

I barely even know what that is, but all I know is she makes money with it. Have a passion or something that you are interested in learning about? Create a blog!

Again, it all sounds so simple, but there’s a lot more to it than just that. Although it can be a bit confusing, once you learn everything about blogging and how money is made, it’s all about creating more content and making more money.

I always recommend programs like the Wealthy Affiliate, which is the same place I got started with my online career. There you will learn how money is made, as well as all of the tricks from the millionaires in the business, to include the owners of the program.

It is really hard to find a program like this, and I’m glad I found it. Who would’ve thought that you can make money from talking about something you’re passionate about huh?
