Wondering if Purium is a scam or a probable way out of the 9-5 grind?

Purium is an MLM that offers people with a knack for sales the opportunity to supplement their income, or even create their own full time job.
Pretty great for the person that doesn’t want to get bogged down with a nine to five, right? But of course anyone who is familiar with the world of MLMs also knows that there is often a catch.
Should you invest your time and money in Purium?

Purium Review – Product Overview
As we mentioned in the introduction, Purium is an MLM that is in the business of supplying health and wellness products.
For those that don’t know, an MLM (multi level marketing company) is an organization that gives entrepreneurial minded individuals the opportunity to sell goods and services and receive a commission for their efforts.
The way that it works is fairly simple.
You buy into the company with an initial payment (in this case the buy in ranges substantially between $249-1049) and then you are provided with the materials to start selling their products on your own.
Purium actually takes a somewhat unique approach to helping people attract customers, by giving their sales staff gift cards to distribute to potential buyers. The gift cards essentially equate to a fifty dollar discount on their first purchase. When a customer redeems the gift card and makes their first purchase, the sales person is paid a commission.
The Products
All of Purium’s products revolve around weight loss or wellness in general.
Part of their promise is to help people lose weight, and get on the path towards a healthier lifestyle in ten days or less.
Many of the products on the line are designed to facilitate this result while others are meant to be used for longer periods of time.
The repeated use of Purium products is actually a good thing to keep in mind.
Sales persons that are looking for something they can sell regularly to repeat customers for an easy commission should always pay attention to MLMs that offer products that are used and then repurchased regularly.
Controversy
Unfortunately, like many companies that deal in the field of holistic over the counter medicine, there is a degree of controversy and skepticism associated with the Purium product line.
The base problem with Purium lies largely with the promises that their ten day transformation plan makes.
While some people that use the program have experienced the advertised results, the fact remains that there is little to no science substantiating their claims.
The same thing goes with Kyani and every other health and wellness program.
Is this a huge deal?
There are certainly a few reasons that the controversy can prove problematic to Purium reps.
Of course, there is always the issue of ethics.
No one wants to espouse bad medical advice, right?
And while the company does recommend that users talk with their doctors before beginning the program, the reality is that most people are not going to do that.
There is also just the issue of how controversy might impact your sales.
If people hear that there is doubt as to whether or not the program you are selling even works, chances are they might think twice about buying it from you.
The biggest issue with the program is actually not even that it might not work, but also that it is associated with a slew of side effects that a fairly significant number of users have reported.
Side effects include but are not limited to nausea, fatigue, and irritability, which just so happens to be the same problem I had when I took some of Melaleuca’s products.
Once I feel a weird change with any product, I stop using it as you can tell that something just isn’t right.
While these issues may not be enough of a reason to completely dismiss Purium as potential income opportunity, they are certainly something that you should consider before making any commitments.
There’s no point in joining a network marketing business if you aren’t using the products yourself, right?
Earning Potential – Compensation
When it comes to MLMs, earning potential can vary pretty significantly. Some people make virtually no money while other people are able to make a good supplemental income, or even livable wages.
They way that you make money at Purium is through commission, which ranges from fifteen percent to thirty percent depending on a number of factors.
As mentioned earlier, you also get a fifty dollar recruitment commission anytime you sign someone new up for the program.
There are also a variety of bonuses that you can get for excelling at various aspects of the job.
The size of the bonus is ultimately going to depend on the level at which you paid to join the company. Joining Purium requires the purchase of packages that can range in price from $225-1049.
The problem is that a lot of people never even make their initial investment back and this issue is not exclusive to Purium but pertains to the world of MLMs in general.
Although there is money to be made here and with any network marketing gig, you can take a look at the Purium income disclosure to see a bigger picture of how many people actually make it here.
The numbers are almost identical to other MLMs so you can use this as a guide as to whether or not MLM is even for you.
I personally think that affiliate marketing is better than network marketing as you don’t have to play the recruiting game but that’s just me.
In most cases, you will get hyped up and be driven for that first month and then everything will come slowing down and most likely to a halt.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Can make you money
- Is in a huge industry (health and wellness)
Cons:
- Requires recruiting
- Products are almost just a placebo
- Kind of pricy
- Just not for everyone
So is Purium a Scam?
At the very least, this is not a scam.
It does come with your pyramid style business model but that also doesn’t make it a ponzi scheme.
If that was the case then companies like Amway would’ve been shutdown and that’s just not the case as they have been around for over 50 years.
So whether this is legit or another scam..the answer is no.
Purium is not a scam.
Conclusion
And that is that! You’ve seen the ins and outs of Purium and now you have a decision to make. Do you want to associate with this company? Well, as far as we are concerned, there are pros and cons to working as a sales rep for Purium.
On one hand, the opportunity could potentially be lucrative and enjoyable for the candidate with the right set of skills and or network marketing training.
If you are self motivated and good with people you might flourish and make some decent money. But if those words don’t do well to describe you, then you might not even break even.
It’s a tough choice that ultimately only you can make.
Our verdict is this: while it might not be easy to make a living through Purium, the opportunity to do so is there for the right person.
What I Really Think
I have been involved with almost every big MLM company out there and that was only because I thought that was the only way for the little guy to get ahead.
That was until I found out about this thing called affiliate marketing where I stopped irritating my family and friends.
After that, the rest was history.
So if recruiting is just not for you, I recommend a site called the Wealthy Affiliate, where you will learn how to make money selling other people’s products.
Definitely one to try if you are mainly just looking to make money and not use the products as an excuse.
Other than that, I hope this Purium review has opened your eyes to what they are all about and that you can make a better decision on your own.
