Everyone and their mothers are looking for that long awaited break from school and work. Or both. It takes a very special person to find something productive to do while on any type of holiday, so good job landing on this post.
Every spring break or any holiday for that matter, most people are looking for something fun and exciting to do because of the tedious everyday life that comes with work. Sigh.
Then you have those that are left twiddling their thumbs because they really don’t have anything to do. Whatever the case may be, I want to share some things you can do this Easter break, that most people won’t be doing.
Whatever situation you are in or who you may be, there is something that you can do than heading to the beach like everyone else will be doing.
Here are some things you might want to add to your to-do list this spring break. Some are no brainers, but they might help you.
1.) Start an Online Business
There is no better way to spend your spring break than to start a work from home business. Rather than just taking a break from work, you should invest your time into building something that could eventually get you out of that 9-5.
Not many people can just quit their jobs and have something to fall on, so plan now and create something that could prepare you for that day you decide to give your boss the bird.
If you are wanting to do something extra productive this spring break, you definitely need to work on getting a nice little online business started. Just saying.
2.) Get Out There
There’s a lot of stuff you haven’t seen and you won’t know unless you actually try. We get so caught up with everyday life that we forget that there are other things to do besides that nice little j-o-b.
Get online and do a little search of “cool things to do in _______” and I’m pretty sure you’ll find something that you have never done or seen in your life.
Every single place on this earth has nice sites and most of us don’t even know they exist. Some of us take things for granted and don’t care to see what is actually right under our noses.
Do yourself and your family a favor and do something different. Forget about the beaches and do something that ordinary people won’t do.
3.) Exercise
This goes hand in hand with “getting out there”. Just like a new year’s resolution that involves exercising, you will most likely not fulfill that nice little vision you had.
Being you are almost done with the first quarter of the year, you will most likely be way passed that New Year’s resolution. Now is the time to just do it on your own.
If you’re like me, you’ll keep putting it off until next Monday, but we all know that something will “come up” and we will find ourselves waiting for the following week.
Forget what day it is and get started. Get that blood flowing so that you can have a more productive week ahead and a more productive life.
I work from home so packing on a couple of pounds is not that hard to do. Even if I don’t want to do it, I still get off my behind and do some sort of exercise.
4.) Get Away From it All
This is not the most productive, but it will definitely take you away from reality. Why not take a nice little camping trip?
Say goodbye to winter and say hello to spring with a nice little vacation with mother nature. Camping is probably not on the agenda, but maybe you should consider it.
I mean, when was the last time you’ve had some smores? Probably when you were 5 or something. Get packed up and make like a baby to a nice little safe camping spot.
5.) Catch Up on Sleep
Work will play a toll on your body and most especially your brain. All these days go by and no one really thinks about how much sleep they’ve lost.
This is a great time to catch up on some very much needed rest. I know you’re not going to sleep all spring, but take it easy and try not to do too much.
Hangout with friends and family, but make it a point to sleep in or sleep early if possible. Your body will love you for it.
Well there you have it. 5 Things to do this break other than head to Panama City. Some you may already be doing, but that’s okay. What will you be doing this spring break?
