For almost all of you, quitting your job as a teacher to do anything else is out of the question. Only a fool will tell you to quit your job and do something else, right?

Now if you have a plan and a different path that you have in mind, I think you can do whatever you want. Teaching is not for everyone, and for you, I’m sure this is just another stepping stone.

The only way for you to quit your job is if you had something to fall on and that’s usually how people in the education field think. Can’t blame you.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that as we do have bills to pay and some mouths to feed, but you might want to think outside the box if you really want to do something different, especially to work from home.

Security, Security, Security

This doesn’t only apply to just teachers but to the entire work force and I like to agree with this, but only to a certain extent.

Especially if you have a family, there is no way that you can and should quit your job just like that. Quitting your job requires some thought and planning or you might be in a world of hurt.

So before you pull the trigger, I would like to give you some advice on what you can do and most especially what else is out there for you to do before you call it quits.

There Aren’t Many Options, I Know

We live in a society that teaches us how to work for well, society. Without the plumbers, firemen, and teachers like yourself, the world just wouldn’t work.

Some people get into teaching because they think that it’s what they should be doing, then find out that it’s not for them.

Hey, it happens.

Now as individuals, we all have different interests and we often think differently, so the options are very limited to what we want and can do.

Do know that there are other things to do and it doesn’t always have to be your typical job either. I work from home and my journey wasn’t the smoothest, but I did learn.

What I’m about to share with you is something you can take and benefit from, or you can completely ignore it and go back to teaching.

Either way, I’m sure you’ll learn a thing or two.

Why You Should Quit

Only you will know why you should quit your teaching job and only you can make it happen. Some of you may quit because your job is just too hectic and some of you may quit because you desire more pay and/or freedom.

The list can go on and on and on.

According to topeductiondegrees.org, the average teacher makes about $55,000 a year. Not a bad gig, but with the work that’s involved, this might not be worth it.

Then you need to consider the amount of time you would spend in college to attain just a bachelor’s degree, and you will see that sometimes things just don’t add up.

Remember though, we live in a society that teaches us to focus on jobs like this because they are needed. How about you try being different and then maybe you can actually be different.

Can You Think Differently?

Some may think that getting a job is not the easiest thing, but I beg to differ. Jobs are all over the place and most people are just too lazy to look for one.

others are just not looking hard enough.

So if you think that turning in an application is trying to get a job, that’s probably why you can’t get one in the first place. GET your job and quit waiting for it to fall on your lap.

If you want to work of course.

For me, I’m not even a teacher and I never considered becoming one. My other half is an early childhood major and I guess you can say that I know a thing or two about what you guys go through.

Now I do have a high school diploma and I do have some years of college. The path I’ve taken is of course non-traditional and only for those that are willing to be different.

If you can think outside the box (and not just think that you can think outside the box) you can do a lot of things most people can only imagine.

Okay, I’m sure you know that I work from home and it may sound like I’m against normal jobs, because I actually am.

Do you think my other half is out there teaching kids like she planned to do?

Nope.

She’s at home enjoying our own children before they become young adults and start doing things on their own. We get to see our kids grow and also give them the attention they need.

Not many parents can do this and I must say we are truly blessed to be able to do what we do. Now don’t forget, we went and got it. It didn’t just fall on our laps.

So How is This Possible, You Might Ask?

Thanks to the internet, I have discovered that there is more to life than just working a regular 9-5. I am a firm believer that we all need to work and we all need to take care of our responsibilities, but that doesn’t mean we should limit ourselves.

Again, I am very non-traditional and the path I took is something YOU SHOULD NOT FOLLOW. This was me being young and although I can say that it paid off for the best, it didn’t come easily.

I quit my job before I made a single penny online and this is what you need to NOT do. Now on the actual job side, you need to do exactly like I do.

I do a thing called online marketing. I do anything from running a blog (like this one) to marketing products online in a way that allows me not to talk to a single person.

It is by far the best thing that I have ever done and I always try to share this with as many people as I know. Being that you are a teacher, you are more than the perfect candidate for this job.

It takes about 4 years to get a bachelor’s degree right? Well it won’t take you even half that time to make you enough money to quit your teaching job to do something that you actually enjoy.

So let’s get you to setting up shop and building out your business so that you can start making some money. Once you make enough to sustain yourself, then you can throw in the towel at your soon to be old job.
