Multilevel marketing has been around for decades and with the thousands that have come and gone, what makes this one different?
Why should you even consider it?
Well, I have put together this Plexus review to help you gain a better understanding of how everything works so you can figure out if this is really the right company for you.
So before you go back to the person who introduced this to you, let me give you the low down on one of the many MLM companies that could possibly be your future business venture.
I have personally had my share with network marketing and although I did fairly well, I’m forever grateful for affiliate marketing for allowing people like you and me to sell other people’s products without having to recruit anyone.
So if you are flat out looking to make money from home without a care for any products, you might want to try that instead.
For those of you who think that Plexus and its products will help you do whatever it is that they claim it can do, let’s get on with the show.
What is Plexus?
Plexus is yet another MLM to jump into the health and wellness sector of the market. They really came into focus in 2011 when they launched the product line that they are currently selling today.
There isn’t much to say about their origins, mostly for the fact that it seems as though not very much is known.
This is not exactly what you want to see when looking into an MLM, especially when the company is in the business of health products.
It also isn’t exactly unusual. Multi level marketing firms have a longstanding reputation and history of being a little bit shady with how they conduct their business.
Sometimes the reputation is well deserved while other times it is not. Regardless, the murkiness that surounds this category of business is not ideal.
Unfortunately, Plexus doesn’t give us a ton to go on here. One thing that we were able to find is that Plexus has a really low rating from the BBB.
This is mostly because they have over six hundred complaints currently leveraged against them, mostly pertaining to their products.
I am sure that you don’t need us telling you that this is not very good news.
The BBB does however acknowledge that many of these issues are being proactively addressed by the company, but the underlining issues remain.
Does a low rating from the Better Business Bureau, coupled with a not so clear history mean that the company is not worth working with?
Not necessarily. These certainly are not very good factors, but the fact does remain that the company is doing well in terms of sales.
Something is working, right?
Let’s diver deeper into he company to find out what exactly that thing is. We will now take a look at what it takes to get started at Plexus.
Getting Started
Getting started at Plexus is pretty straightforward and simple. Since this is a multi level marketing company that we are dealing with, there is no need to worry about applying or interviewing.
To start hawking their wares, all you really need to do is pay an annual $35 fee which entitles you to buy their products wholesale and start selling them.
Additionally, there are higher package fee options that give you access to a more extensive list of products. These packages range in price between $100-200.
These packages are probably going to give you something of an advantage in terms of your selling prospects, but they also pose a greater financial risk, and make it much harder to make back your initial investment if it turns out that MLM sales is not your strong suit.
How much you decide to spend going in will ultimately depend on your own unique situation. Either way, it is worth noting that all of these fee options are more or less typical for a multi level marketing company.
While there are definitely cheaper options out there, this is still a relatively affordable opportunity for giving multi level marketing a try.
In terms of what it takes to join, Plexus doesn’t look so bad. Of course, it doesn’t matter how easy the company is to join if you don’t like what they are selling, right?
Right. Let’s now take a look at the product line to see if it looks like something that you will be interested in selling.
What You Will Be Selling
As we mentioned earlier, the product line consists of health and wellness products that are optimized for helping you to lose weight and burn fat and calories quicker.
These supplements mostly take the form of powders that are mixed into drinks.
As we mentioned a little bit ago, there have been a lot of complaints leveraged against these products. A lot a lot.
The bottom line seems to be that there are plenty of customers out there who do not feel that they work as they have been advertised.
Naturally, this is not good news if your objective is to start selling the products. However, there is also no denying that there is a market out there for Plexus powders.
The company does mention that their products do need to be used with exercise and a healthy diet which could be why some users do not end up seeing the results that they are hoping for.
The good news is that product quality seems to be on the upswing. Plexus has now taken to clinically testing their products in order to make effective improvements, and it is also petty apparent that what they have now is safe, and free of additives common to supplements, such as caffeine.
Sure, there are some issues with the product line, but for what it’s worth those issues definitely seem to be less prominent than they used to be.
Compensation Plan
The compensation plan at Plexus is probably the best thing that the company has going for it, at least as far as the affiliate is concerned.
At fifty percent, the commissions at Plexus are quite a bit higher than they are at most multi level marketing companies.
This generous pay rate is certainly going to help you to make a return on your investment, and maybe even turn this opportunity into a lucrative side hustle.
Unfortunately, there is no information readily available indicating how much money the typical plexus sales representative can expect to make (this is pretty common in the world of MLM).
However, broader statistics on MLM salaries do suggest that the majority of affiliates are not going to make very much.
Multi level marketing isn’t as easy as many people seem to hope or assume it will be. The bottom line is that if you are a self motivated entrepreneur with lots of talent at sales, you are going to do alright. If you aren’t, you won’t.
The good news is that the fifty percent commission Plexus offers its affiliates will at least give you a fighting chance.
What I Really Liked
In the world of multilevel marketing it is very hard to find a company that offers more than 30% commissions and Plexus is willing to give you 50%.
That is quite amazing and with a decent amount of products to offer, this might very much be a great opportunity for those of you who feel that you can get others to join you in your new business venture.
It is also usually hard to get the right mathematical equation down so that you aren’t charging too much for a product all while giving affiliates a chance to make a decent profit but this is the closest I’ve seen to any company balancing compensation and the price for its products.
Another thing I liked is that they have actual products.
There have been way too many Bitcoin style MLMs that offer no products whatsoever but still try to act like they are a legitimate company.
No product or service = Ponzi scheme
Lastly, I like that Plexus has been around for a good amount of time.
Not so long that everyone knows about it like Amway (leaving you more opportunity to present something new) but not so new that you can’t trust them.
What I Didn’t Like
The price tag for the type of products was a little steep and might not be affordable to some.
I am also not really fond of MLMs and how you have to convince others to join you rather than selling products up front and letting them sell themselves.
Besides that, there is really not much to dislike about Plexus.
Recruiting not for you? You might want to try this instead
Final Verdict: Good to Go
As a former MLMer I must say that this is not just legit but one company that I am actually a fan of.
There is more than enough health and wellness network marketing companies in the world today but I think this is one of the best ones out there.
At the very least, I am pleased to say that Plexus is not a scam.
So if you think this is for you, I say go for it.
What I Really Think
With the fact that over 90% of the people that join MLMs not making more than $100 for the year, it is statistically proven that this and any other MLM business is just not for everyone.
Of course 1% of the people in this business will make most of the money, while everyone at the bottom of its pyramid structure feeds their bank accounts.
Not to say that I am against it but the facts speak for themselves.
What I do know is that there is actually a way for those of you who aren’t into recruiting to make some money from the internet.
I personally have quit my job and have also been working from home for the past four years thanks to this thing called affiliate marketing.
All this means is that I become an affiliate with companies like Amazon, Ebay, etc., sell their products, and make a commission in the process.
Now that is the basic concept of things and there is a lot more to it and that is why there are sites like the Wealthy Affiliate that will teach you how to do such a “job”.
If that’s something you might be interested in doing, you might want to check them out.
Other than that, I hope this Plexus review has done its job and whether you decide to join or not, I wish you nothing but great success.
But before I let you go, let me share some things that might help you if you do decide to join Plexus or any network marketing business.

Tips On Joining Your Next MLM Company
When it comes to multilevel marketing there are several things you need to understand before you jump in due to some hype and constant marketing from one of its affiliates.
Well, ambassador in the case of Plexus.
First, you need to join the business because you actually like the products.
Don’t be like some people that I personally know that join a company just because they like the compensation plan behind things.
If money is what is going to drive you, you will not succeed here.
With thousands of MLMs to choose from, you need to make sure that this is “the one” and not one that you feel you can make work.
If you’re not into health and wellness, you can go with other companies that offer something more on what your passion and interests are related to.
Before joining, you also need to understand that recruiting is going to be a must and this will very much require you to talk to other people about your new business.
You will also have to pay a monthly fee of some sort in order to remain an active affiliate to make commissions, so make sure that you have the funds to pay that monthly bill.
Nothing is guaranteed.
Most people will join an MLM due to one thing and one thing only.
Hype.
This is the same exact reason you will get motivated and this is also the same reason you will most likely fail.
Every company comes with hype and with all the figures and dollar signs thrown in your face, it is going to be a little harder to say no and you will most likely join thanks to said reasons.
Take your time before committing to anything or anyone.
Just because your friend wants you to join something does not mean you need to.
Look out for your best interests and do things because you want to and not because you feel sorry for someone.
I hope these little tad bits will assist you before you join any company and I do wish you nothing but amazing success in whatever it is that you do next.
