Can you really make money as an Amazon Affiliate? How is it even possible to partner up with the biggest online store in the world and cash in on their success?
I’d like to share with you how I do it, so you might want to pay attention.
Making money online is absolutely amazing. There is no better way to make money than with other people’s products and most especially from Amazon.com.
With the many affiliate programs out there, I find that becoming an Amazon Affiliate (Amazon Associates) is one of the best ways to make your money.
Why?
Well…
- They are trusted by the MILLIONS of people that shop on there every single day
- People don’t just buy the one product they are looking for (thanks to the marketing done by Amazon)
- They offer you some of the best affiliate marketing tools
- They have offers for every single holiday of the year (helps for big money spurts)
- They have all kinds of products (millions of them)
I mean, who doesn’t shop on Amazon.com?
When people look for things online, they will question things upon checkout IF it is not from this site.
If it were from Amazon, it is a no-brainer deal. You almost immediately checkout if you don’t plan on buying more things (again, thanks to the done for you marketing that they provide).
Now this is just me speaking, but I’m sure there are millions of you that can say the same.
Now Put Yourself on The Marketer’s Point of View
There is just so much potential to make money as an Amazon Associate or any other affiliate programs for that matter, and with all the people shopping online every single day, you would be crazy to not step in and get your piece of the pie.
As a normal, everyday person, you won’t understand what happens behind the scenes. Now as the soon to be online marketer, you will capitalize on what people are already doing in the first place.

Before I started making money online, I had no clue that there were people making money from me as I was buying things online.
That was really none of my business at the time, but now that I understand what I am doing, it is time to be on the money making side.
So now, it is my business (no pun intended).
So How Do You Make Money as an Amazon Affiliate?
Now don’t think you are just going to take your affiliate link and then start telling your friends to buy from your link because it doesn’t work that way.
Kinda.
After following what I will teach you here, you might have the chance to do just that. But for now, let’s stick with the basics and get you to understanding what affiliate marketing really is and how you can profit from it.
It all Starts with a Passion, No Really, it Does
Most people come into the online world thinking about nothing but money.
Can you blame them?
Of course not.
That’s why they came here in the first place.
Now focusing on the money when you first start out will really get you nowhere. Taking action and applying what is needed is what will get you to making that money.
So let’s start by thinking about things that you are actually interested in. This could be anything, but I do recommend you put some focus on what Amazon has on their site.
There are all types of products on there, so if there is something you can associate with your passion, then guess what?
You can make money.
If you like photography and taking pictures, you can make money.
If you like playing video games, you can make money.
You get the picture.
Housing That Passion
Now that you have that interest of yours in mind, you will need to put those ideas and interests into one place.
This place, would be a website.
Some people will tell you that you don’t need a website to make money online, but I beg to differ. I don’t care what method you use, it will all come back to owning a piece of online real estate, especially if you plan on becoming an Amazon Associate.
Without a website, you can kiss your chances of making money on Amazon goodbye, as they require you to have a website or they won’t allow you to join their program.
So yes, you need a website.
Applying – Approval
Once you have this site in place, you can now apply to become an Amazon Associate. It is super easy to get approved, so this is probably the easiest part.
Get that site online, put some content on there, and you can be sure to get approved.
You’ve been approved!
Once you get approved, you can now have access to the millions of products on their site, but this time you can sell them and make a commission in return.
The type of selling done online is not like your typical “hey do you want to buy this” type of business. It is done in a very unique way, which I will be getting into a little later in this post.
You Now Have Your Personal Amazon Affiliate Link
Now that you have been approved, you can take any of those products, make a sale, and get a commission. The commissions start out at 4% but as you make more sales, it can go up to as much as 10%.
If you really understand just how many people are online buying stuff from this website, you will know that it is worth every cent.
4% may not sound like much, but it does add up, especially when people are checking out and then Amazon uses its crazy marketing to get them to buy more stuff.

The stuff in this list are not only relevant, but they are really cool and makes you want to buy them.
This stuff works!
So how do you get people to these products?
You direct them from your site, to Amazon.com.
That’s how.
Remember how I told you to pick something you are passionate about? Well that is where this whole passion will help you to become a successful online marketer.
Combine that passion with a website and your affiliate links and voila!
You make money!
Although very simple to understand, there is a lot more to it than just getting links on a website and making money. There’s actually a lot more to it and this is also what separates the successful people from the rest.
So you have to build out this site with your passion and then you can start generating traffic, which will then lead to sales.
Passion + website + Traffic = $$$$$$

Just like how people shop online naturally through Amazon, they do the same thing when they need some type of information.
“How to bake a cake”
“Does Insanity work”
“How to save my marriage”
The questions come in by the millions through the search engines and the same millions of searches result in some type of sale a good amount of the time.
This my friend, is where you step in. A great way that I get a lot of my traffic is by doing product reviews. It’s weird, but most people need some type of reassurance that they are making the right purchase.
There are millions of people doing searches for product reviews before they buy and there is no reason why you can’t get a big chunk of that traffic.
Getting Started
I know this may seem easy to some, but it can also be confusing as well. When starting out online, there is definitely a learning curve and a lot of understanding is a must.
Go about things the lazy way and you can expect to keep that 9-5 for the rest of your life.
Things can start to add up as far as expenses are concerned unless of course you go about things the smart way.
