Everyone wants to work from home using the internet. The fact is that not everyone can do it. It’s just like how everyone wants to be rich, but 99.9% of them will work a 9-5 for the rest of their lives.
This is how it is and that is how it is going to be. There is a reason for this and I would like to explain it to you in this blog post.
If you find some of these to be your problem, you can either fix it or continue to pretend you “work from home” like most people do.
7 Reasons You’re Not Cutout to Work From Home
When it comes to working from home, there are certain things you absolutely need to make it. Then, there are certain things that you definitely don’t can do without.
Have some of these traits and you can very well be on a path of nowhere. Fix them and you can very well be on your way to a successful online career.
1.) You don’t Have the Right Mindset
Biggest problem that anyone can have. If you’re still skeptical about whether you can actually make money online, then you can keep doing what you’re doing.
You probably won’t make it from this point on.
Just like you would a basketball game or any sport, you need to get your head in the game. Believe in what you do and put in 110%.
Forget about what anyone tells you, they are not you, and they will not decide on whether or not you will be successful in life.
Are they successful?
What makes them successful?
Most people don’t even know what success is. Having a regular job is not even one bit successful to me, but that is what every normal person believes, but that is what needs to separate you from them.
You need to have the right mindset and it all starts with you believing in what you do. Now, you also need to know what you’re doing as believing is only 1% of the equation.
2.) You Flat Out Don’t Know What You’re doing
You may think you do, but you probably don’t. If you are in some type of recruiting program and it takes signing up people into your “business”, you might not know what you are doing.
Yes, you can go around parading like money is coming out of your ears, but we all know that most of them are just building hype to get you to join.
I mean, is that even ethical? How can you even trust someone that is trying to force this so called opportunity down your throat when they aren’t even making any money.
If you want to make it in the online world, you need the right training as well as the right group of people. Join this community and you will see what a true work from home support system looks like.
There should be no recruiting.
Been there, done that.
3.) You are Brainwashed
I keep in touch with most of the people that I met when I first entered the online world to do business. Most of these people I knew from multilevel marketing and other recruiting type gigs.
It’s pretty crazy to see that these same people are still doing the same exact thing that they were doing when I met them 2 years ago.
They are maybe making $100, but they are on their computers 24/7. In two years, I was able to build a solid online business and I did this by simply taking myself out of certain groups.
If you’ve joined any type of MLM, you will know that they drill anything and everything about the company straight into your head.
To the point that you are pretty much obsessed with your products or at least act like it. Some products are decent, but most are nothing but a way for you to promote your business.
So when you start acting like the person that brought you into their business, you might have a problem. You may think that you are getting better as a network marketer, but you are only becoming more brainwashed.
Then you will be on Facebook and social media half the day trying to promote your latest and greatest make me rich program.
4.) Facebook is a Priority
As an online marketer, you need to know how to prioritize. If making Mark Zuckerberg richer is what you plan to do, then business (online or offline) might not be for you.
Unless of course you plan to use it to advertise an actual business and not some crazy MLM. Social media marketing is extremely powerful, but keep it at that.
It takes a very special person to do business and it takes an even more special person to do it online. So if you can’t stay off Facebook or any other site that will get in the way of your business, you might want to consider getting or sticking with your 9-5.
Just because you are online all the time does not make you a business person. Get online, do what you gotta do and move on with other productive things.
There are just way too many people socializing on Facebook for hours and then get off and say “whew, that was a lot of work”, when really, they did nothing productive.
5.) You Don’t Like Working
Most people are lazy and that’s a given. Now if you plan on running an online business, you can either break out of it or you can forget about creating an empire of a business online.
Some may camouflage the world of an online business as not being an actual job, because it’s really not. You are your own boss and you do what you want to do without anyone telling you how to do it.
Now this is also where people get things twisted. Working online requires a lot of work and can be a lot harder than most jobs, if of course you make it that way.
The point here is that you are still doing work. If you don’t see yourself doing anything productive, you might not be doing any work.
Some advice…
This is what helps me get through the day and I know it will for you too. Or, you can always be lazy and pretend you are working, which is not the best idea.
6.) Too Busy Chasing the Shiny Object
There are just way too many of you sitting behind this screen thinking that the money is going to make itself. Well, it’s not.
Most of you were introduced to making money online with big numbers and fancy cars and I’m sure 99% of you are still looking at them.
Almost every single scam program uses the same marketing strategies. The fancy cars and the fat bank accounts, which most of you were probably introduced to in the first place.
The problem with this is that you have nothing but a dream in your head. You will keep dreaming unless you actually take some action.
Dream big, but dream realistically big.
That is really the solution to making big numbers.
7.) Too Many Distractions
When I first started my online career, I was all over the place. This goes back to reason #3 and it will always be a big facto when it comes down to weeding out success and those that are just on here to pretend.
While you’re on Facebook, especially if you’re apart of these “make money from home” type groups, you will be bombarded with all kind of ways to make money online.
99.9% of them are nothing but recruiting programs that of course these people want you to join because that is the only way they will make money.
That is not business.
Period.
Remember what I said about being brainwashed? Well this is exactly what these distractions will do. Get you brainwashed into thinking that you need to learn how to recruit to be successful online.
Let me tell you one secret about why I am successful online. My business has nothing to do with recruiting people.
At all.
8.) You’re Just not Cutout For the Job
Yup, it is a job. So if anyone tries to tell you that they don’t do anything and they make money, you might want to look into what it is that they really do.
In most cases, that is nothing but a pitch to get you to at least peek into what they are doing, hoping that they spark some interest in you so that you can join.
If you can keep falling for these types of schemes and not learn from it, then you might not be the one for the job.
Making Money Online Requires Work
A lot of work at that. So if you’re thinking that you’re going to come online and start making millions of dollars, you might want to keep your day job.
I have worked for my online career and I have also fell for many scams. I’ve been apart of a couple of multi-level marketing gigs and I have fallen for almost everything out there.
To make the internet apart of your living, you need to work at it. Start a legitimate online business and build it out like you would any other business.
The beauty about the internet is that you don’t have to wait over 5 years to start seeing any profit like you would a regular business. Not to mention the crazy overhead costs that came with them.
So if you’re wondering if your’e cutout for the online business world, I hope these reasons will give you a little push on the behind.
