Bathologie Review – Scam or Legit Business?

Last Updated: December 12, 2017 //  by John

bathologie-reviewBathologie is a company which specializes in organic bath and home products with the opportunity to make extra money through their multilevel marketing model.

With this, they are revolutionizing the way people view the direct sales industry and their mission is to make bath, body and home products from plant-based ingredients that nurture you and your skin.

The company was founded by Stacey Madsen who had of baby skin allergies from the chemicals found in our soaps, lotions, and detergents from our everyday products.

That’s what started the company in 2011, which is not only still around but is also growing as the years go by.

For those of you wondering if this is some type of pyramid scheme scam or if this is a legitimate business to join, I will like to clarify things through this Bathologie review.

I am not affiliated with this company so you can expect nothing but an honest opinion from someone who works from home rather than a promotional pitch on trying to get you to join me and my team.

Let’s break things down so you can see if this is something worth looking into or probably a waste of your valuable time.

The Products

When I first heard about this company the only thing I could think of was the Gold Bar that I get from Melaleuca, which is another MLM company that specializes in almost the same products as Bathologie.

With a little further digging, I found out that they have of course the hand soaps and body wash but what I was really interested in was their products for your home.

All I could find were some linen sprays and a variety of candles, which I found to be a bit bleh.

Not much of a product line, but will it be worth joining?

You can order products as a bundle and save some money or you can buy them separately.

Their Bath Bomb is the cheapest of their products, which starts at $8.50.

The body wash and hand soaps start at $15 for 8 ounces.

Then you get into their salt scrubs that start at $30.

This is just for the products and at a non-member’s price.

If you want to get involved with the business side of things, here’s what you can expect to pay if you want to become a Bathologist.

The Price to Join

There are two kits form which you can start off with as a Bathologist and each comes with your business starter kit, which includes some testers, catalogs, and some samples.

Basic Blending Bar Kit – $115

  • 42 Scent Testers
  • 50 Order Forms
  • 100 Invitations
  • 5 Hostess Envelopes
  • 300 Scent Blending Strips
  • 25 Product Catalogs
  • 25 Business Catalogs
  • 1 Unscented Body Lotion
  • 1 Unscented Body Butter
  • 1 Unscented Sugar Scrub

Master Blending Bar Kit – $230

  • 120 Scent Testers
  • 50 Order
  • 100 Invitations
  • 10 Hostess Envelopes
  • 300 Scent Blending Strips
  • 25 Product Catalogs
  • 25 Business Catalogs
  • 1 Unscented Body Lotion
  • 1 Unscented Body Butter
  • 1 Unscented Sugar Scrub

Not the cheapest startup but it is a lot better than most.

The Compensation Plan

As a Bathologist, you are now qualified to make money by referring others to the company or selling products.

What I did find to be really awesome was the fact that you DO NOT need to meet a minimum purchase order or required sales to qualify for commissions and bonuses.

Bathologie does use a basic MLM model but you are able to get 25% commissions from personal retail sales and you can earn 35% if you advance in rank.

If you see the graph below, you can see that each rank is earned with the more people you bring in as well as your personal referrals.

There are other requirements, but recruiting others will be the ultimate way to scale your Bathologie business.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Decent product quality
  • Products are made of natural ingredients
  • Reasonable startup cost
  • No minimum monthly requirements
  • Offers returns and exchanges

Cons:

  • Can use more products
  • Only available to US residents
  • Orders take 2-3 weeks to get to you

Bathologie is Not a Scam

For those of you wondering if this company is a scam then you can rest easy as they are not here to take your money.

They have a solid track record and with 6 years under their belt, you can see that they strive to maintain and run a solid business.

If you’re wondering if this is for you or not, you might want to focus more on the business side of things.

Can you see yourself recruiting others fairly easily?

Do you have a solid network that you can promote this product to?

Are the products really worth the hefty price tag?

In the end MLM is not for everyone and it is going to be recruiting based no matter what way we want to look at it.

You can always start your own online business if you’re looking to make a solid income without the whole recruiting deal.

You can always just buy products if you are a fan, just make sure you’re able to purchase them without putting yourself in a bind.

In the end, Bathologie is legit and one of the few that I would recommend.

Final Verdict: Legit

I think Bathologie is a fairly decent company that has a lot of value behind it.

If you can see yourself doing this then I say go for it.

Remember that you do need a Bathologist to get started, so get with the person that introduced this to you and ask them for more details.

I’m not much of the MLM type but I am apart of Melaleuca, which I think has one of the best product lines and compensation plans.

You can read more here on my review as well as personal experience if that’s something you might be interested in.

Other than that, thanks for reading this Bathologie review and I hope that I have given you a short and to the point explanation on the major components to this business.

Good luck and thanks for reading!

Thank you for your honest review! I would like to say that as we are growing, we have added many more products and are continuing to speed up production time! I just wanted to sell bath bombs, and 18 months later, I have a national team of 40+. You just don’t find these ground floor opportunities everyday! It’s a decent trade for being here through the growing pains in the beginning!
