Total Takeover Review – Another Pyramid Scam?

March 3, 2015 //  by John

total-takeover-reviewName: Total Takeover

Owner: Wallace Nuanez, Dave Lear & Val Smyth

Website: www.totaltakeover.com

Type of Business: MLM

Price: “Free trial”

Overall Rating: 25/100

Rather than all the Total Takeover reviews from people trying to get you to join them, this would be from a nonmember, so you can expect nothing but an unbiased review of what TTO really is.

Product Overview

Total Takeover is a multilevel marketing business, which offers marketing training as their product of choice and nothing else. You won’t be getting any diluted detergent and you won’t be getting any fancy facial cream either.

The founders all have extensive backgrounds with MLM and have been apart of many scams as well. The biggest scam being the Empower Network. They were also apart of Vidacup and Organo Gold just to name a few.

They then took their experience and have now developed what we see today as Total Takeover. Read further into this review and I will give you the ins and outs of something either genius, or just another multilevel marketing scam you need to avoid.

What You Get

Like I said earlier, you will be getting nothing more than a bunch of training on how to promote any product you want, but of course it would be TTO, due to the MLM side of things.

What this really means, is that they are going to give you training on how you can get people to signup with your Total Takeover business.

If you are not familiar with the big network marketing giant scam, TTO is a lower end business model, which doesn’t have overpriced marketing videos, which is disguising nothing more than a cash gifting scam.

The Price for Total Takeover

I really don’t like any business that claims to offer you a “free trial”, when you really get nothing out of their free nonsense.

With TTO, they tell you that you’re getting a free trial and then bam! A “Click upgrade to start your test drive for $5” page is waiting for you on the other side. Am I missing something?

I guess free trial and test drive are two completely different things, so you might want to take note of that. Hey, you learn something new everyday!

So you have that $5 test drive, but after 14 days, you will be charged the full $89.95, which will make you a complete member to TTO.

What Your Membership Entitles You to

Just like the other businesses of its kind, they give you tools to promote them like tracking statistics and a contact manager, so that you can keep track of your leads in your back office.

Although they mention giving you this program to use so that you can promote any other business, you know what you will be promoting if you do join. You guessed it! Total Takeover.

You will also get access to their capture pages as well as their marketing system as well as some audio on the “megastars of marketing” which you can use to get you motivated.

I remember when I was in Amway and I would listen to all of the stories from some of the top people in the pyramid and boy was I brainwashed. An MLM business isn’t complete if you don’t have the nice little audios to come along with it.

A Compensation Plan is Nothing But Hype

It’s usually the comp plan and the product that make or break it for me, but not so much the case after wasting so much time trying to build a business, just to have it shutdown.

I remember when I used to look at comp plans and that would be the biggest reason as to why I would join any type of MLM, until I wasn’t getting anyone to signup with my latest and greatest business “opportunity”.

The comp plan for Total Takeover is really simple and is useless if you aren’t getting anyone to signup. Here are some things you need to know about the pay and how it works.

  • You will need to signup 2 people before you can even start earning any type of commission
  • You must have 2 active pass-ups at all times
  • You make $45 every 30 days from all personally referred members
  • You make $25 from pass-ups from your downline

I don’t care if it’s a $30 commission or a $300 one, it is all hype, just to get you to join. If you don’t get anyone to join, then guess what? The compensation plan is completely useless.

Getting Paid

This is another piece of useless information you might be interested in, but it is what you can expect in regards to getting paid as a member.

With TTO, you get paid monthly, with payments done on the first Wednesday of every month. You can also earn $1 for everyone that signs up in your matrix, so they don’t have to personally be enrolled under you to gain this.

The Pros & Cons

I have done my share of multilevel marketing and I am no longer intrigued by any type of compensation plan whatsoever. I don’t care if I can earn 8 million dollars from one referral, it is the recruiting part that’s the problem. Here are some things that I liked and didn’t like about TTO.

Pros:

  • Can make you money
  • Decent compensation plan

Cons:

  • Is recruiting
  • Falls in the pyramid style business category (pyramid scheme or not)
  • Not sustainable
  • No tangible products
  • Pricey membership

TTO at a Glance

Name: Total Takeover

Owners: wallace Nuanez, Dave Lear, Val Smyth

Website: www.totaltakeover.com

Price: $89.95/month

Final Verdict: 25/100

Typical MLM business, which requires the same thing that any other multilevel marketing business requires. There is no tangible product, so you might have a problem explaining to people what it is exactly that you are selling.

I wouldn’t call this a scam, but I do know that they are not sustainable in any way shape or form, so I can not recommend this to anyone. It is very time consuming and requires you to have people join in order for you to make any money.

Final Thoughts

If you are new to MLM, at least you know what you’re getting yourself into. This type of stuff is not easy and although I’ve had some type of success, these types of businesses are not sustainable.

You really can’t tell if a company is going to last or not, so it is completely up to you to decide if this will work or not.

FYI, Another MLM business called Wake Up Now just got shutdown which is actually one of the few that I thought would last a little longer. Too many people have wasted their time and money with that program and are now looking for the next best thing.

This why I can never recommend ANY multilevel marketing business to anyone, even if it can make you money. If you are a member of one, don’t feel that this is the only way to make money from home because MLM is not the only way.

My Recommendation

If you want to make a full-time income from home and have the security that your company isn’t going to shutdown without you knowing, you need to at least give affiliate marketing a try. Click here to see what program I recommend for learning how to make money online.

Not many people know about it, because it doesn’t have crazy people promoting it to earn commissions, but rather a solid business in which you are the real boss, unlike MLMs.

If you think Total Takeover might be the right business for you, then go for it and please share your experiences with everyone else, but please be honest.

I hope this review of Total Takeover has offered you all the information that you need to make a wise decision as to whether or not you should join this business. If you have any questions or you have had any experience with this business, please share it in the comments section below!
