Five Dollar Funnel Review – Another Pyramid Scheme?

Can $5 Really Change Your Life?

Alright, so I just completed the setup for Five Dollar Funnel and I bought into the “funnel”, just to test the waters as well as give you a complete review of the program.

There are just too many positive reviews on this program from people trying to do nothing but get you to signup, so I thought I’d add my two cents.

Is it a pyramid scheme? Is it another cycler? Is it another ad sharing network? There are so many questions that come with this program, so I thought I’d answer them and a lot more.

What is the Five Dollar Funnel?

This is nothing more than a multilevel marketing business trying to disguise itself as something different and better than those that are almost identical to its model.

This does not fall into the lotions and potions category because it doesn’t come with some cheap detergent, but it does offer some non tangible products to go with your membership.

Pyramid scheme? Somewhat. As far as ILLEGAL, not so much. It is done exactly like every other pyramid style business whether it is legal or not. Amway, Melaleuca, and Avon are no different.

I like how these guys work around this question, but I’m sorry to say my friend, it is exactly what it is, a pyramid! There are thousands of others that are NOT illegal but it doesn’t take it out of the pyramid category.

It is NOT a cycler program like the Achieve Community and it is NOT an ad sharing network like Click Ad Pays (CAPS), just to name a few.

How it Works

Screen Shot 2015-01-30 at 1.16.28 PMJust like any other pyramid based business, you will be playing the whole recruiting game, trying to get people to join under you so you can get paid.

It comes with the nice little compensation plan as well as some “products” that come with your membership.

You will need to follow the steps when upgrading with this program in order to really understand how it works. As you finish each lesson, you will be checking each one off as you complete them.

The Products

This business offers material on the personal development niche. From a regular mindset, to a millionaire’s mentality is some of the stuff you can expect with this.

you will be learning about leadership as well as life itself. This is nothing more than a way to present some type of product so that they aren’t clarified as some type of scam.

They are all digital products, so don’t be expecting to get some type of hard covered book in the mail. The material is okay, but you can find this information if you just looked for it.

The Price

Well I’m pretty sure you know about the entry level membership of the oh so very popular $5.

The program actually comes with 2 memberships which of course will come with different “products”.

One is going to cost you $5.45 while the other is going to run you $26.09.

Kickstarter Matrix – $5/month

Builder Matrix – $20/month

Leader Matrix – $99/month

Mogul Matrix – $297/month

* All of these matrices come with a fee and none need to be purchased to advance to the next level.

The Comp Plan

You will gain commissions of one of your downlines purchase any of these products, but you will only get it IF you purchase these memberships yourself.

So if you don’t get the Builder Matrix and someone decides to purchase that membership, let’s just say that you’re not going to get paid.

To me, it’s kind of pointless if you’re only going to get in at the $5 level, but then again, you were baited by the five bucks so I can’t blame you.

But wait! I always wanted to say that. If your first level accumulates enough revenue, you will be automatically put into the next level and so forth.

five-dollar-funnel-scam

There are actually 4 different levels that you can leverage from, with the POTENTIAL of making you a certain amount.

Rather than showing you a breakdown of what you could possibly get, I want to explain how you need to understand the world POTENTIAL.

This is not guaranteed and every single network marketing business has the same “potential”. Just like you, everyone else saw the dollar signs and your jaw dropped. Pick it back up and snap back to reality.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Can make you money
  • Reasonable pricing
  • Has products (not tangible)
  • You are your own boss
  • Unique compensation plan

Cons:

  • Does require recruiting
  • Is like a pyramid style based  business

Is the Five Dollar Funnel a Scam?

If I was going to call this a scam, then that would mean that every other network marketing and MLM business is.

I am not a pessimist although I don’t care for any type of recruiting type business.

Would I recommend it? Not at all. I have had my share and success with MLMs and I can tell you that they are not easy to do.

legit

FDF at a Glance

Final Verdict: Legit, but just like any other network marketing business which requires recruiting. No one joins, no one makes money and it isn’t going to be done any other way.

What I Really Think

Like I said earlier, these types of businesses are not easy to do. I don’t care what cycle or matrix you use, these things require you to do your part.

If you are good at stuff like this and are willing to put the time that is needed to run this business, then you might want to give this a try.

There are other ways to make money online that doesn’t require you to be the next best recruiter, and most people don’t know about it because no one is trying to promote it, due to the fact that you don’t get paid for recruiting anyone.

Well that’s all I have for this. I hope this review can help you make a better decision with the Fiver Dollar Funnel and hopefully you can make a sound decision. You’re a smart person.

A very well-written article on Five Dollar Funnel. I’m not a fan of these types of programs that use the matrix type of comp plan. It’s not even considered a legit plan in MLM.

At the end of the day we all have to decide upon which kind of programs to hang our hat on because you can never get back wasted time, and energy spent on something that was never designed to “pan” out to your benefit long term.

Just to let you know, you are forced to upgrade to the next level and the company holds back all your commissions even if you don’t want to upgrade before you are ready to. I have personally sponsored 20 paying members and have a whopping total of $4 that I can withdraw. There are definitely better companies to work with.

Wow Stuart, 20 is a lot. Most people that join any type of MLM can’t even get 5. Now to be making $4, that is definitely not worth the time and effort that comes with this type of business. This is why it’s really hard to trust any multilevel marketing business and is also why I do affiliate marketing full-time now.

all these websites are scams as far as I’ve experienced. I have tried for years online and got nowhere except losing money here and there and haven’t made a dime, but finally I start working in company which is not free 🙂 and I’m making money daily and can withdrawal daily as well.

What company are you talking about Roseanna? If you’re looking for something not so MLM like and that will make you money online, you can use a program called the Wealthy Affiliate. It comes with a free membership and you will learn everything you need to know about making money online.

Thanks for the review. I just have one question though…who’s affiliate link is this? 100587 Is it yours? If so, bad form.

I’m not too sure, but how is that “bad form”? I give completely honest reviews and just because I don’t like certain things about a business, doesn’t mean I can’t be involved. Just like 99% of the programs I do reviews on Craig, I do pay to see what they’re all about, so that people don’t have to waste their time. So yes, I did signup to the Five Dollar Funnel (paid) so that I can have a better understanding of what they are all about. Do I recommend it? No, but that doesn’t mean people won’t join regardless. I don’t see the problem with whoever owns the link Craig, so can you please explain what you are really trying to say.

I really enjoyed your review , I believe that you are correct when you say that recruiting can be hard on these types of deals. I have found that plenty of people get into these programs and don’t even remember !

I like your review John I am a stay at home mom with 2 kids. Although I joined this 5 dollar funnel program a few months ago and personally tell you I have seen the money from this program cash in hand. I never paid anymore than the 5.45 got my netspend card thru mail and never paid anything to upgrade a level. Although I agree like any other online work there is a matrix system layout or pyramid as some call it there is recruiting, but there is money. At FDF, our job as recruiters and recrutees is training people to learn how to do marketing. I had no training and no education when I started. Thanks to this program, I am able to support my kids nicely might I add and stay home, which is the best joy a stay at home parent can ask. Though I agree that people need to be careful what they believe though at the same time understand that one can never succeed without faith.

Thanks Jen and I’m glad to see you’re doing good with FDF. I have done my share of MLMs and besides the whole recruiting gig, there was a lot more reasons as to why I ended up quitting. Well let’s just say that one time wasn’t my fault as the company got shutdown, without even notifying its members. There were thousands of people who have built their levels deep, just to have it go to waste. That would break anyone’s heart. I’m not saying that this program will and no one can ever tell what’s going to happen with them, but it is very risky. I just wanted to let everyone know what it’s all about and hopefully I’ve done that through this review. Good luck with this Jen and I wish you the best!

I personally that the Five Dollar Funnel Review is a good review overall. But think $5 won’t break the bank and online marketers have the freedom to check it out and make an educated choice to join.

    Thanks

You are right about that Carlos, but there’s always something on the other end that will break the bank, so just be careful.

Excellent review John. I’m doing some research on 5 Dollar Funnel now, and it doesn’t seem much different from most MLM companies out there. The major downside is that you have to go “all in” to receive credit for the higher priced sales packages. Imagine if everyone that worked in an Apple Store was forced to buy an iPad, iPhone, iMac, and accessories etc to receive credit for the sales. I don’t think Apple would be the same company it is today.

Totally agree Nathaniell, but I can’t blame some people because MLM is all they know. I think that if it wasn’t for online marketing, I would still be trying to push some cheap product to family and friends doing nothing but irritating the crap out of them. I don’t care what type of MLM it is, they are all ran by having members recruit other people to pay everyone else. Even if they have a different matrix, it will still end with one goal in mind and that would be recruiting. Thanks for your thoughts man and good luck!
