Let me just start things off with the fact that I am a dude. No I don’t plan to get these nails for myself, but I do want to shed a little light on the business side of things with a nice little review.

I’m not saying that guys can’t do this, but I am also wanting to point out that I am not affiliated with Jamberry Nails, so you can expect an honest review of what this program is really about.

What is Jamberry Nails?

Do I really need to explain this? Well, it’s kind of obvious that this business is about nails. But these aren’t your ordinary nails. They’re Jamberry Nails!

Jamboree Nails are vinyl nail wraps that you can wear on your real or artificial nails. They have a heat activated adhesive that forms a water-proof seal, making them last pretty long.

They can last for up to 2 weeks on your fingers and 4 weeks longer on your toes. There are no crazy chemicals and you also do not need to wait for them to dry.

What You Get

These nails come in sheets and one sheet is going to cost you $15. One sheet will be able to do two manicures and two pedicures, and a little extra.

Most orders qualify for a buy 3 get 1 free deal, so that will almost force you to spend $45. That will also be equivalent to one mani and pedi? I really wouldn’t know, even if my other half gets them all the time.

As far as what I’ve heard and seen, there are no crazy complaints about the product itself. I think $15 is a fair price especially for an MLM business. Most MLMs will cost you $50 minimum for the products alone. I mean look at these, they’re actually really nice.

Let’s Talk Business

This is the part that might be of interest to those of you looking to be a brand promotor of Jamberry Nails. Sometimes, the comp plan would make or break a company, so be very, very wise when joining this or any MLM for that matter.

There are actually 5 ways to make money with Jamberry, so this is actually a first for me. For some reason, people keep coming up with different ways to make money, and instead of your typical 4, these guys have 5.

The Good Old Compensation Plan

I remember the days when I used to think that the comp plan was what made or broke a multilevel marketing business. Jamberry’s comp plan is actually similar to any other MLM and offers some decent bonuses as well.

There are actually two comp plans for Jamberry. You have one for US residents and then you have one for people living in Canada. I’m not going to break it down for you because it is really complicated, but I will tell you exactly what you need to do to qualify for commissions. You get 30% commissions for every person you personally refer to the company and the sales/bonus depends on how many active personal volume you have.

To qualify for commissions, you must maintain at least 200 personal retail volume a month, as well as get 600 PRV a year.

Pros & Cons

There is no perfect program out there and this is not the exception. Here are some of the good and bad points that I find with Jamberry Nails.

Pros:

Decent product
Affordable price
Is tangible
Fair commissions
Decent compensation plan
User friendly website
Allows you to have your personal website
Can make you money

Cons:

Requires recruiting
Is considered a “pyramid” style business
Is not as easy as it seems
Personal website only lasts for 3 months
Not sustainable

Although I may have a lot of good points about Jamberry, there are just a few cons that would make this something to really think about and this is what I’ve learned as an ex MLM-er.

MLM is No Walk in the Park

Being that it requires you to play the recruiting game, this is not going to be some type of easy job. I have done my share of multilevel marketing and it is not the easiest job in the world.

Not Sustainable

Just recently another MLM just shutdown and it left its members looking for the next best thing. The problem I have with all MLMs is that they are very unpredictable.

I don’t like people putting in the hard work that is needed to create a successful business, just to have it shutdown anytime they want.

This is the biggest reason why I stopped with network marketing and now I do affiliate marketing, full-time. There is really no competition between the two, but we’re all different.

I am definitely not a fan of MLM, but I think this one is a lot better than about 99% of the ones I’ve seen. There are a lot of people that would use this product and I don’t see how you wouldn’t want to get involved with the business side of things.

Final Thoughts

Is Jamberry a scam? If I was to say that Jamberry is a scam, then that would mean that all multilevel marketing businesses are scams.

I think this is a great business to promote, so if you don’t mind the whole recruiting thing, then I think you should go for it.
