I had to give my two cents and do a World Ventures review of my own. There are just too many people joining MLMs that really have no clue as to what they are really getting themselves into.
You may be wondering if World Ventures is a legitimate opportunity for you to make money. You might be wondering if others have had success in World Ventures. You might want to know if World Ventures is a scam. Well I want to answer these questions and more for you.
I am not affiliated with this company so you can expect an unbiased approach to things. By the end of this review, you will have the knowledge to make a smart decision on your own.
World Ventures Review
Name: World Ventures
Owners: Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue
Website: www.worldventures.com
Type of Business: MLM
Price: $360 to get started + $60 monthly
Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars
Product Overview
The company was founded in December of 2005. The company is based in Plano, Texas where the World Headquarters is located and recently underwent a massive expansion renovation.
The company is privately held and is debt free, just like you want it to be right? World Ventures has been featured in the magazines Success from Home and Your Business at Home.
The leadership of the company came from all parts of the travel industry. The leaders bring together hundreds of years of experience in both Network Marketing and the Travel industry.
They are talented and experienced and have a strong desire to be the best travel internet marketing firm in the industry. They are well on their way.
At least I think so.
The growth of the company is based on the explosion of the travel industry. Many Baby Boomers are retiring each minute of the day and they have money and they want to travel.
With this influx of new customers daily, the $8 Trillion Dollar travel industry is prime and ready for this company.
According to CNN Money, “Travel is the single largest category of e-commerce, accounting for about 43% of all online spending.
Yeah…and?
I’ll dig into this a little later in this review, so get ready for an earful. In this case, an eyeful.
About the Company
World Ventures was started on December 10, 2005. Its mission was to enable people to lead fun, free and fulfilling lives, by integrating financial opportunity, great life experiences, personal contribution and development.
It also focuses on building the world’s best vacation and entertainment club and creating a network of competent direct sales people.
The objectives were inspired by the experiences of its founders, Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue, who had lost a lot in the pursuit of money. It was their belief that work is for a greater purpose, other than amassing money and wealth. It needs to be about passion.
I completely agree, but I also think you need to go about this with knowledge and experience.
Who This is For
If you travel a lot, this might be the program for you. Unlike sites like Pro Travel Plus that steals money from its members, I think this one is actually legit.
This is great for anyone looking to do some network marketing, but that’s about it. Yeah there are discounts, but is it really worth the monthly membership?
Membership
Anyone can join the company. However, it is always advisable to read a World Ventures review before doing that. There are three membership plans that are tailored to suit different budgets and needs.
- Dreamtrips package is designed for those people who want a great vacation, but on a small budget. The package offers access to many value-packed trips at an affordable rate.
- Dreamtrips Life provides several lifestyle benefits. Members can access vacations to any part of the globe. They also get to enjoy unique experiences and everyday entertainment opportunities.
- Luxury Dreamtrips is the premium membership level. It provides the best of all packages. On this level, one is offered his or her own personal travel concierge and is given access to the best hotels and locations.
These guys go off of their “get 4, pay no more” model, which means that if you can get 4 people to join under you, your membership will be paid for.
That’s actually a lot of people and if you’ve been in network marketing before, that’s not easy to come by.
Marketing Structure
World Ventures uses the direct selling platform. This is the kind of structure that allows marketing and selling of products directly to customers away from a fixed retail location.
So, representatives can even use the Internet to sell some of the company’s products.
A global World Ventures review has shown that with this kind of marketing structure, people get paid for their hard work, regardless of their experience or background.
So, you can join World Ventures and have the potential to money regardless of your qualifications. You have the choice to work full-time or part-time depending on your schedule.
World Ventures is a revolutionary company. Not only has it given work a new meaning, but has also enabled people to live fulfilling lives.
Well at least that’s what we hope for.
Let’s Get Real
The travel industry may be booming and there is a lot of money being spent on it, but does that mean you will be benefitting from it by joining World Ventures?
I think not.
Huge industry, but are you really getting a piece of that trillion dollar pie?
Of course not!
Let me explain…
I love marketing, but I can’t stand hype. With this company, they use these crazy numbers and all that, but in reality you are not really apart of it. By you joining and saving on travel is not tapping into the industry.
Are you getting PAID when people purchase their tickets online?
No.
Are you making money when people use sites like Expedia.com?
Of course not.
You see guys, sites like World Ventures are built off of hype. Mentioning these huge numbers and all that is nothing but a way to make you see dollar signs.
There are so many people in this business that are in it for the money and that is it. I mean, what did you really think people joined World Ventures for in the first place?
To save on travel?
Sure.
Recruiting is the Name of the Game
I love it when people tell me that they love the benefits of World Ventures. I have a brother who is in this company and he racks up some miles with all the traveling he does.
He claims he joined because he just wanted to “help a friend”.
Now that’s just sad.
He doesn’t try to get people to join and he doesn’t even use the discounts because it doesn’t apply to a lot of the places he goes to.
Don’t get me wrong, I can get people to join me in my latest “opportunity”, but that’s not the real problem. The biggest reason why I don’t do MLM anymore is the fact that the people I do get to join will not make the type of money they think they will.
A couple of months realizing that they are not getting anywhere and poof! They will disappear. Sustainability is not going to happen here.
The Product – What You’re Really Getting
Remember the trillions of dollars spent in the travel industry? Well, I’m sure that a huge chunk of that is from the purchase of plane tickets.
There will be no savings on this if you join World Ventures.
Bummer.
So what do you get?
Let’s just say you get savings on your typical hotels and whatnot. Yeah that’s tapping into the travel industry alright.
Now get this.
When getting these discounts, you will be traveling with other members of the company. How weird is that?
Hey, if you want your discounts, you need to take a buddy. No thanks.
I’m a family man and I don’t think I need some stranger coming along. Some may disagree, but that’s just me.
All these “you should be here” signs remind me of a company called Wake Up Now (another travel MLM), which I thought was going to be around for a really long time.
Sad to say, but they have closed shop and those members are probably with World Ventures or some other MLM.
The Price
Just to get started, you will have to pay $360 and then a monthly fee of $60. I’m sure you know that in order to make money here, you will need to get people to pay for the same exact thing you just purchased.
I would like to break down the compensation plan for you, but I think it’s a waste of time. Get Joe to sign Jill and this is how much you make.
How about, no…
Now if you absolutely need to see their comp plan, you can see it here.
Final Opinion of World Ventures
Nothing but hype. I’m sure all you members will disagree and that is completely normal. Until you realize that you’re in the 90% that isn’t making a single penny will you wake up and face reality.
MLM is not new and it is definitely not going anywhere. Now whether you get involved is completely up to you. I may sound super pessimistic, but this is just the reality of things.
If you travel a lot and you can see the benefits working in your favor, then this might be for you. If you also think that you can recruit a bunch of people, then this might just be the right business for you.
Would I join? Probably not, but that doesn’t mean I can call this a scam. With somewhat of a product, they have covered their behinds.
What I Really Think
This is not a scam. It is not a scam, but it is something I would recommend you stay away from unless you can say that you are one hell of a network marketer.
Just like you, I was looking for a way to make a better living for me and my family and World Ventures was an option. Instead, I joined a lotions and potions called Melaleuca.
Products weren’t the best, so I jumped ship and got into Vidacup. Coffee is a sure sale is what I thought. Once again, I was wrong.
MLM will always be MLM no matter what company you join. If it wasn’t for the opportunity to build your own actual business, I really don’t know what I’d be doing right now.
MLM is cool and all, but it’s just not for everyone. Just like every other multilevel marketing battle goes, you will have its members praise it like it’s the best thing out there and you will have those that call it a scam.
I’m in the neutral zone (somewhat), but I still wouldn’t recommend this to anyone looking to make a living from home. I work from home full-time and it’s not because i’m the best network marketer out there.
It’s because I have built my own business (click here to learn more). If you aren’t into recruiting, you should definitely consider starting your own online business.
Other than that, thanks for reading my review of World Ventures. Of course you members will disagree, but it will always be a never ending battle. Your thoughts?

A Work at Home Jobs
Hi John, thank you for your review of WorldVentures, but i really think to write a review of such a company, you actually have to be part of the company or at least use the products, right? Imagine a film review written by someone who sat outside the cinema while the movie played.. doesnt make sense. I could despute most of the article as a member, but ill just pick out one or two things if thats ok..
“That’s actually a lot of people and if you’ve been in network marketing before, that’s not easy to come by”
4 people is obviously not a lot of people, since most people have hundreds in their cell phone, and possibly thousands more on social media, and 99% of them travel.
“Are you getting PAID when people purchase their tickets online?
No.”
if someone books through your website instead of somewhere else, you get a small commision, so it can add up.
“You see guys, sites like World Ventures are built off of hype. Mentioning these huge numbers and all that is nothing but a way to make you see dollar signs.”
but if a company revenues over 900million and has won close to 30 worldtravel awards, what is wrong with telling people?
“Are you making money when people use sites like Expedia.com?
Of course not.”
the owners of expedia are!
“The biggest reason why I don’t do MLM anymore is the fact that the people I do get to join will not make the type of money they think they will.”
Bad or inexperienced net-workers have this problem, but we all should set the expectations of people we sign up. its unfortunate that some people promise largely unrealistic outcomes.
“Well, I’m sure that a huge chunk of that is from the purchase of plane tickets.
There will be no savings on this if you join World Ventures.”
Im afraid thats wrong,, In my 3 years as a member, i have saved money on around 10 flights.
“When getting these discounts, you will be traveling with other members of the company. How weird is that?”
not necessarily, picture it like this,, if YOU go to vegas at the weekend, you will be on the plane with 100 other people, in the hotel with hundreds of other people, and out on the strip, in bars/clubs/shows, with, get this, more people, with worldventures, there are many people booked onto the same trip as you, but do you have to spend time with them? no. do i want to? yes, because i love meeting new people, and i love meeting positive people, and i have met many of my close friends through Trips.
“Hey, if you want your discounts, you need to take a buddy. No thanks.”
again, not true,, you can travel as a single, no need for a partner.
“Sad to say, but they have closed shop and those members are probably with World Ventures or some other MLM.”
wake up now was started with people who were, lets just say, asked to leave WorldVentures because they were not sticking to compliance rules, which is precisely the reason why Wake Up NOw closed down shortly after. They were not allowed back into worldventures.
Making any money Gary?
You sure shill a lot. WV should really pay you, but seeing as they can’t even pay their IMDs and RMDs, I guess you’re at the bottom of their list.
