There are too many people failing with online marketing and most eventually quit. There are several reasons why you’re not making any money online and I want to save you from becoming another statistic.
Most people question if online marketing is even worth the time and money and I will show you why so many people are failing and what you need to stay away from so that you can be a successful online marketer.
If you were ever a victim to some network marketing company like the Empower Network or any of those scams then that is probably the reason you have given up on online marketing. Let’s just clarify one thing before I continue with this post.
If you joined a network marketing company, please don’t consider that online marketing because it is taking people away from actually running a solid online business. Follow along and I will show you what you need to do to make some real money online.
Here are my top 5 reasons why most people fail online and eventually quit without even making a dollar!
1.) All You Know is Network Marketing
Let’s face it, not all of us are cut out for this type of business which most people refer to as a good ole pyramid scheme. Although I am not a fan of MLM or wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, I think it still beats any 9-5 job.
The problem with this is that over 97% of anyone involved with any type of MLM don’t make it. If you really can’t see how much that is then you really have no business even doing multilevel marketing.
A lot of the reason why people don’t even know this is because their up-lines are not telling them everything they need to know before getting involved with this type of business.
Not everyone is cut out for the whole recruiting thing and not everyone can talk to people like the big boys do. I know you have heard of companies like Amway that are still around and there are actually some people doing good with them but I want to tell you something you might not want to hear. Ready? You are NOT them!
2.) You Don’t Know The Truth About Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a totally legit way to make money online and that is exactly how these scammers are making money off of you. They promote the fact that this form of marketing is dead when they know for a fact that this is the same exact way that they started online.
I make money with affiliate marketing and the scammers do too. The only difference is they created their own “product” and now they show you all kinds of fake testimonials and fancy cars to make you believe they are making millions.
Don’t get me wrong, there are people making millions of dollars by promoting affiliate products, but these scammers get rich off of the very uneducated newbie trying to make money online.
3.) Poor Training
Most people don’t get the proper training to even see any signs of success. Doing business online requires some very specific instructions and it only takes one thing to be missing for your business to fail.
It’s really simple things that most people don’t even know about that prevent them from creating a successful online business. Here are a couple of pointers that most bloggers don’t even know that can improve their blog almost immediately.
- Blog Regularly (daily, if possible)
- Be consistent
- Do good keyword research (see my the same tool I use here)
- Don’t give up!
When you own a blog, you need to treat it like your baby and you need to be a great host. If you don’t provide your readers with some great service and useful information, they will not hangout on your blog. Follow these simple steps and your blog will rise from the dead!

What Online Marketing is NOT
A solid online business is something that you need to build from the ground up. If you are chasing that shiny little object then you might as well keep your 9-5, because you are not going to get rich overnight. There are a couple of things you need to understand about online marketing as well as what it is not. Here are some things that online marketing is not.
- A get rich overnight business
- Designed for lazy people
- Going to run itself
- Going to make you any money without any work
If you are willing to put in the time and effort to create a solid online business then be ready to live the life some people only dream of. I know you can do this!
What Online Marketing Can Do for you
Online marketing has changed many lives and it can do the same for you. It definitely changed mine and I couldn’t be any happier with my decision to give online marketing another chance.

I promise you that this is going to be your last stop in your search for an online company but you have to follow the training and stick to it. Even if you don’t see any money in the first week or two, DO NOT give up. If you don’t give up this is what online marketing can do for you.

- Have more time with your family
- Work whenever you want

- Make more money than you have ever made in your life (true story)
If you don’t want any of these then of course online marketing is not for you. Stay at work and make someone else rich because that’s what I used to do. Now I own a bar and have more time with my kids but online marketing is my main source of income.

Even though I own a bar it doesn’t mean I am rich from it. If it wasn’t for my online business I would’ve never been able to purchase it in the first place.
At this point, I think my bar is costing me more than actually making money but who cares, my online business always brings a smile to my face.
