We all know that you will not become an overnight success story and you will not become a millionaire either. One thing I know you can do, is become really successful online, if you put in the work and effort that is needed.
The truth is, it is really up to you. I can give you all the tips in the world, but if you don’t apply them or yourself, then nothing will happen.
If you keep telling yourself you can’t do this and you can’t do that, you my friend, have already failed. If you are still trying to find your calling, I’m sure this will make you see life a whole lot differently.
I Will Never Make it Online
At least that’s what I was told, along with other very unnecessary nonsense that only fueled my passion to do more than just be successful online.
I blog for a living. Yup, that is what I do.
The one thing that people don’t understand is the fact that I was really horrible at writing. I mean, really bad.
To the point that someone told me I would never be successful online.
Did that stop me?
Obviously not.
I’m not here to vent or tell you about how much that hurt my heart, but I am here to tell you how to overcome anything in your way and to become the best blogger you could possibly be.
There will be all types of negativity when it comes to doing business online and that is completely normal. From your parents, to your other half, to the people in your lives, no one will believe you can actually make money online.
Is it your problem that they don’t believe? Of course not. Today starts the day that you stop worrying about what others think. You are not here to please them, so why even let that bother you?
Want to know where these people will be 5 years from now? No where close to making what you will be making, if of course you stick with the whole idea of making money online.
It ALL Starts With You
I don’t know if you know this, but whatever you do in life depends on the person you see when you look in the mirror. So when someone tries to give you advice, you need to pick and choose what you want from them.
I NEVER take anyone’s word, no matter how rich they are.
It’s funny because about 99% of the advice you will ever get in life is from someone who is “successful” at what they do. It can be a doctor, a teacher, or heck, it could be a damn plumber.
We all see success differently, but some of us need to really focus on ourselves and not what everyone else is doing.
Is what they’re doing going to make you successful?
Is what they’re doing going to pay you?
Didn’t think so.
We are all different and that’s something you need to understand. Now getting the online world involved is a whole new ballgame as anything and everything involved with the internet is a scam.
At least that’s what everyone thinks and that is completely fine as there are all types of scams online. Now what YOU do is different and something YOU are in complete control of.
You Define Success
When I first started building my online business I knew this was what I wanted to do. There are many reasons as to why I chose this route and it is what my definition of success is.
The first thing that comes to mind when anyone hears of the word success, is money. Money for some reason is the big indicator as to how successful a person is.
Personally, I agree and disagree. Money is a big part and only because it is needed to get us through life. I don’t care what anyone says about money not making you happy, I beg to differ.
“Money won’t make you happy”
“Money is evil”
blah blah blah
The list goes on and on about how bad money is and how they don’t NEED it. I call BS on anyone who says that. The same people that used to tell me that are the same people who ask me for it.
Yes, it’s not the only thing, but it definitely is a big thing. Without it, you will have more problems than you could possibly imagine and you will only PRETEND that everything is fine and dandy.
So yes, money does make people happy.
I didn’t say anything about greedy people and money now did I? Because that is a whole different story and something that we can discuss over some beer or some coffee.
Okay, I got a bit carried away there, but only because it’s reality.
You will Always Come Across Negative People. Period.
As an online marketer, blogger, affiliate marketer, and even an MLMer, we will all deal with negativity. No one will ever believe you and no one will even support you, even if they try to or seem like they are.
“Oh there’s John with his new “opportunity” again”.
That’s the type of stuff you will hear and it is also the reason that I now mind my own business.
No pun intended.
Rather than trying to reach out and help people, I let them come to me. I’m not going to say no, but I’m also not going to chase you either.
I don’t do MLM as it is just not my thing. What I do is completely operated by my work and what I do. I write my checks, I decide when I’m going to work, and I don’t need a single person on my “team” to make this happen.
So How Did I Become Successful Online?
I believed. I don’t care if anyone doesn’t believe you, YOU need to be the one that makes it happen.
I’m not telling you to go out there and start believing in the Tooth Fairy, but just believe in what you can do.
So dream.
Yes, dream.
Dream big, but dream realistically big.
Of Course You Need the Right Program
When I first started my journey as an entrepreneur, I knew that the internet was where I wanted to make my living. I knew it required me to work and that is what I did.
Arguments occurred with my other half and she was one of them that threw the old “you will never succeed” card to my face, but whatever.
Fast forward just ONE YEAR from all that negativity and we were living off of the internet full-time. Now I get all the praise and recognition for my hard work, but that is really nothing to me.
I still have it in the back of my head that no one believed me and that is what continues to drive me and make my business grow and grow and grow.
Can you imagine that 5 year mark that I spoke of earlier?
Sigh…
I can’t wait.
Of Course You Need the Right Program
There are many programs and schemes on the net today and it is impossible to stop. Wealthy Affiliate is one of the few that I know comes with the most legitimate way to earn money from the internet.
You are in full control of everything and you don’t need anyone but yourself. If you’re wondering what it takes to become successful online, you need to get involved with this community here.
