So I came across the wordstream keyword tool today and I just wanted to share my experience with one of the worst keyword search tools out there. I wanted to see what keyword tool was ranked at the top of Google and Word Stream was #2. Right off the bat the offer you “30 free searches” and so I gave it a shot. I did a quick search for the keyword “make money online” and this is what I got.
Why Wordstream is designed like this
There are several reasons why online marketers do things like this and that is totally fine. The problem that this type of marketing does is that it discourages people from actually making money online. They make things so complicated just so you can eventually make a purchase and they can keep your email address to market to you later in the future.
I wen through this website and they have more than just a BS keyword tool and that is what you will eventually be getting emails about. You will spend more time and money purchasing and learning things that won’t even benefit you at all. Here is what this type of marketing will do for this online marketing company.
- Force you to purchase something just to get a preview
- Keep your email address to market to you at a later time.
- Irritate the crap out of you (okay, that wasn’t a serious one)
I mean look at that screen shot, is that free? They show you NOTHING! These kinds of scams really blow my mind and I hope you stay away from things like this. Keyword research is something that ALL bloggers need to do to create quality content that will get ranked in the search engines. There is one thing that you will need to know when you are doing keyword research and are trying to get your articles ranked. No content = no rankings. It’s as simple as that.
