We all want to make money online and we think that SEO is what makes all the difference. I’m going to have to say yes and no, so you might want to read more and see what your problem is.
Keywords are NOT Your Problem
I think that too many people spend way too much time trying to master SEO, when there’s a lot more to internet marketing than SEO. To me, I think most people are just flat out lazy.
What makes you think that you’re going to get ranked for one article when you only created 5 blog posts? I can promise you that you are not going to rank so quit checking your Google Analytics and get to work.
First Things First
When you decide to get involved with blogging and internet marketing, you need to be in this for the long haul. If you think you’re going to make money on your first day, then you might want to consider doing something else.
Creating a blog and doing internet marketing is something that is going to take time. The best part about this amazing business is that when you do start making money, it usually comes with a lot of it.
If you only have a couple of articles, you might want to start getting those fingers busy and get some onto your site. For those of you that hate writing, you can always outsource it on services like Fiverr or Freelancer.
Forget About Cosmetics
You probably don’t know this because I sure didn’t. I think you spend way too much time trying to make your site look like Amazon.com or something, because I sure did.
If you want to make money online as a blogger, you need to worry about one thing more than others and it’s something called content. Rather than trying to put that widget in the right place and have some pretty pictures, you need to worry about putting information on your site.
People are not looking for your site to see how pretty it is, but rather for some information. Don’t get me wrong, but you want your site to look decent. Make it look nice and worry about the look later.
There are basic themes that are free and they work totally fine. It may not be the prettiest thing, but it does the job. I have made this mistake and a lot of you have too and you wonder why you’re not seeing results.
Consistency is Key
When you create content, you also want to be consistent. If you’re going to post a content once a week, then so be it, just be consistent. Just remember that you get what you put in.
If you think you’re going to make it with one article a week, then that will do. If you can blog every single day, then more power to you. Just remember that you literally decide where you want to be in your business.
Personally, I try to blog every single day, but I often give myself a break on Sunday or something. Whatever it is you decide to do, stick with it. I do suggest you set a schedule and make sure you stick to it.
Practice Makes Perfect
If you absolutely suck at writing, just remember that no one is perfect. However, the more you blog, the better you get. Believe me guys, I am not the best writer and I don’t have a college degree, but I do make money online.
I couldn’t get going with blogging, until I actually started writing more. I quit worrying about being perfect and that’s when things started to get better. I mean, I got better.
You should try timing yourself and see what you can do in 30 minutes. You’ll be surprised at what you can do. Give it about 2 weeks and you’ll see how much you’ve improved.
Now Comes The Research
This is where the nice little keyword tool comes into play. With me, I love doing keyword research and I can honestly tell you that I do it every single day.
Yes I am a full-time online marketer and this is what I do. Although there are many keyword research tools out there, I use a tool called Jaaxy and it does wonders for me.
If you are doing online marketing, you are going to need a tool and a good one at that. If you haven’t been doing keyword research the right way, then I think now is the time.

Along with this tool, let me give you the best SEO advice that you can possibly get. I do suggest you apply these to your current blog (along with your tool) and you will see amazing results.
I know a couple of people that have had many articles written and were making nothing with it. They bought all these programs that didn’t work and got nothing out of it. Apply these tips and let me know your results.
- Keyword in Title
- Keyword in first paragraph
- keyword in alt tag (image)
I know you thought I was going to give you a list of things to do, but I can promise you that this will work. None of this put your keyword 20x if your article is this long and have it in header tags and blah blah blah.
