As a lot of you might already know, there is definitely money to be made in the online world, but finding out how to actually earn money and get it into your bank account is a completely different story.
I’m here to provide some of the best (and easiest) ways you can start earning some real dollars in a small amount of time.
You will find out in this article exactly how to make money online as a virtual assistant, and as a result of your hard work, dollars will be flowing into your bank account, day in and day out.
So let’s get right into it!
What Is A Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant is exactly that, an assistant in the online world that does small tasks for others and earns money in the process.
Virtual Assistants are mostly paid hourly, so you can work for as long as you please and stop whenever you want as well. But when you stop, the money stops coming in too.
VA’s can earn anything from $15-$100, but that amount all depends on your skill level. All of that increases when you learn and grow more.
How to Get Started
There are literally thousands of “virtual assistant” websites that you can sign up to and become apart of. Many of them are complete rubbish, while some of them do the job just fine.
The ones that I have outlined below are the ones that are easy to navigate, newbie-friendly, and offer a large amount of jobs that you can start doing right from the get-go.
My Top 5 Favorite Virtual Assistant Jobs
As you get your feet wet and start to learn the ropes of being a VA, you start to notice a trend of the things that work best and the ones that are a waste of time.
I was a VA for quite some time before I started my website. During those times I found the best “jobs” that are very simple to do and only require a few basic knowledge before you become a pro at it.
Below you will find my favorite ones that have worked incredibly well for me, and they are the ones that I suggest for you to try out as well.
These are by no means essential though, so make sure you do something that you find to be easy and doesn’t require too much time to complete.
1. Edit/Proofread Content
Many blogs, especially big websites, have a lot of content that is being published every day.
And because of this, they don’t have time to proofread and edit what they publish, so they usually hire virtual assistants to do it for them.
This is easy money and only requires basic knowledge of the English language to know how to fix their mistakes and errors.
Writing the content is a lot harder and if you use simple tool like Grammarly, you can have that done in no time.
2. Customer Support
Business and product owners aren’t always at their computer, while they don’t want to be for 24 hours a day either! And this is where you come in.
Their audience needs answers for their questions, concerns and inquiries, while you need money to pay the bills!
Providing customer support doesn’t give you big dollars. However, when you work with many different websites and products, the money can start flowing in.
3. Format Email Newsletters
As hard as it may sound, it is actually really simple to learn. And when you know how to do it like an expert, it can really start to be a big money maker for you.
Business owners have no idea how important is to grow an email list and market to their audience over and over again. It is your job to take them by the hand and help them along the way.
If you start helping just 10 business owners with their email marketing, you can start making big dollars with this method.
I use it and I know for a fact millions of others do too.
4. File Management
You have been managing your files on your computer ever since you were a little boy…or girl. So what makes managing website files for a business any more difficult?
Hint: It isn’t.
And that is the beauty of being a virtual assistant. It is exactly the same, just with a few different strings. However, the concept is all the same, which is why this is one of my favorite Virtual Assistant jobs on the internet!
5. Setting Up And Managing Social Media Accounts
What I like the most about this job is that you can do it on-the-go.
And due to the simple fact that there isn’t JUST business and website owners that have social media accounts.
There are also individuals who have massive social media followings and no content (pictures and videos) to share, or they can never find time to be active on them as much as they use to be.
They need assistants (you) to update their accounts frequently and interact with their audience on a 24/7 basis. However, you do not need to be spending your time at the PC or mobile phone all day.
Remember, being a Virtual Assistant means you can choose your own hours and make money on a daily basis, as long as you are putting in the work.
My Final Thoughts
Becoming a virtual assistant requires a LOT of time and effort on your part, especially if you wish to make a decent amount of money from doing it.
And because of that, I only prefer that you do it for some “fast money” or “startup money” only, so you can fund your other online ventures, such as your own website.
When you have your own website, you have a business that you can leverage the way YOU like, and make money the way that pleases you.
You are your own boss and you can work your own hours, without answering to blog/website owners every single day.
