There are actually some scary complaints from this company and it prompted me to do a Fuel Freedom International review.
“Fuel Freedom International is a scam”
“Gas caps caused problems with my car”
“Car failed exhaust test”
But just like every other MLM, you will have those that absolutely love everything about it.
From the outside looking in, I can give you a better understanding about everything you will be getting into, so please do pay attention before you make any crazy decisions.
What is Fuel Freedom International?
Let’s start with a little bit of background information on the company.
Fuel Freedom International is a multilevel marketing company.
As an MLM it gives business opportunities for interested parties that allow for flexible hours, and lots and lots of creative control.
The company is run by business partners Wendy Lewis and Randy Ray.
We will talk a little bit more about the product line later on, but for right now, you just need to know that they occupy the clean energy niche, by way of fuel additives.
The company actually claims that these additives derive from a substance first used in rocket launches of the 1970s.
However, as is the case for most seemingly outlandish claims made by MLMs, there is no real evidence out there that indicates this is true.
Still, taken at face value, and giving the product the benefit of the doubt, the claim is an impressive one.
Just looking broadly at what the company is and where they come from, it is hard to say how good the opportunity is.
Their product theme, and their owners neither support nor detract from their credibility.
That in mind, let’s take a look at what it takes to get started there to see if the process interests you.
How to Get Started at Fuel Freedom International
So, how do you get started at Fuel Freedom international? It’s pretty simple really. Since this is an MLM, you don’t apply, you join.
The process is as simple as filling out some forms, and paying a $60 fee.
If you are new to MLMs it may feel very strange paying for the opportunity to work somewhere. However, this component of the MLM process is built in to almost every MLM platform.
The fee here is pretty standard. There are lots of companies that cost less join, and lots that cost more. Paying sixty dollars is really pretty average.
In terms of what this fee says about the company, the outlook from this vantage point is actually pretty good.
Companies that feature high up-front costs are often fraught with problems.
At worst, they are scams, at best, they are usually opportunities in which you won’t even make back your initial investment.
All in all, the process of getting started at Fuel Freedom does not feature any noteworthy concerns.
Of course, none of this matters if you do not like what you will be selling. That in mind, let’s take a look at the product line.
What You Will Be Selling
Fuel additives are the name of the game here. The way it works is pretty simple, you drop the caplets into your fuel tank, and they work to reduce your cars emissions.
This serves both the function of keeping your car, as well as the environment, healthy.
They also offer products that claim to increase the miles per gallon that your car will be able to accomplish.
Sounds pretty great, right? The problem?
The claims of the company may not quite line up with reality. Fuel additives are a pretty controversial topic in the world of automotive, with many believing that they don’t do anything at all.
Basically, if you decide to sell for Fuel Freedom, you will run the risk of selling people a sugar pill. You will have to decide for yourself how you feel about the ethical concerns of doing that.
You should also think about whether or not it is even likely that potential customers will buy into the foundationless sales promises.
It is worth mentioning that there have been a few tests, including a notable one run by CBS news to find out whether or not the pills work.
The results seem to indicate that if they do work, the effects are minimal. There were no perceivable differences in city driving, and miniscule differences for highway driving.
This does not necessarily prove that the products don’t work, but this information certainly does not work in their favor.
Compensation Plan
The compensation plan at Fuel Freedom International is a pretty standard reflection of the MLM world at large.
You get paid for selling the products, and you also get bonuses for recruiting people to join as an affiliate.
There is no salary for working as an affiliate at Freedom Fuel International. When you get sales you make money. Otherwise, you don’t.
Unfortunately, there was no readily available data indicating what Fuel Freedom International sales associates are making.
However, in general, people selling for MLMs tend to struggle to earn a livable salary and often enough, people only take home several hundred dollars a year.
Other people don’t even make back their initial investment.
Given that the entry fee here is only $60, you probably will be able to earn it back. However, the fact does remain that making a living off of an MLM is hard work.
If you are a self starter with skills in sales, you could do very well at Fuel Freedom International. Otherwise, you will want to think about looking for different employment opportunities.
Is Fuel Freedom International a Scam?
The short answer here is no. At least not as far as a potential salesperson is concerned.
The products themselves are shady at best, but in terms of the structure of their MLM platform, they aren’t doing anything that is atypical.
However, even if the platform does not fit the criminal definition of a scam, there are still plenty of things about the company that might give you pause.
The lack of scientific backing to the claims that they make about their products is troubling. From an ethical standpoint, you have to worry that you are selling people something that doesn’t work.
There are also pragmatic concerns. Many people aren’t interested in dropping something into their fuel tank that isn’t scientifically proven to be successful.
While the company itself is not a scam, they certainly do produce some concerns.
Final Thoughts
When it comes to multilevel marketing there is one thing that keeps them afloat and that is through some good old recruiting.
I mean, gas caps for better fuel?
With the thousands of MLMs out there, why would this one be the best option?
There are others like Melaleuca and Amway that offer products that can be used on a daily basis, so I don’t see how this would be the better option.
At the end of the day, it is really on you to decide and if you feel that this is something you can see yourself selling, then hey, this might just be the one.
Now if you’re in this for the money (which is usually the case), maybe you might just be interested in doing some affiliate marketing.
My Recommendation
Back in the day, I used to think that network marketing was the only way for me to get ahead in life until I found out about that same exact model.
With the opportunity to make money without having to recruit others caught my attention and I never looked back since.
So if you are looking for a real opportunity that can actually make you a nice income, you might want to try that instead.
