How to Find Keywords for your Blog

Last Updated: December 20, 2018 //  by John

free keyword ranking toolToday I’m going to show you how to find keywords for your blog post and also why they are very important to your success as an online marketer/blogger.

Most of you have probably blogged and blogged and blogged and blogged to get no results from your website and your blogging efforts.  Been there done that.  These days search engines are not only looking for specific keywords from your blog post but they’re also looking for good informative content.

Before reading more about getting ranked for your keywords please make sure you’re putting your keywords in the right places and not over stuffing your post with keywords.  If you want to know how to find keywords for your blog follow along and I will show you what to do and what not to do.

Now continue reading…

What are Keywords?

Keywords are something that you need to understand and apply to your blog if you want to be successful online.  Keywords are the specific words that you will be discussing on your website which is going to be very specific to that post.

Like this post for example, “How to find keywords for your blog” would be the keyword that I am writing about.  Finding keywords and putting them in the right places will make that much of a difference when creating quality content that ranks in Google and the other search engines.

Most common mistake when people use keywords is that they get to wrapped around that specific keyword and their article starts to sound like some robot is writing it.  It is not natural my friend and this will also not help with your SEO efforts.

Stuffing your Blog Post with Keywords

Most of you have probably learned to put your “keyword” here and there and everywhere huh?  Google doesn’t really work that way anymore and I want you to do keyword research the right way.  Do NOT stuff your blog post with keywords, it won’t help you.  If anything it will do bad for your website

Make your blog post sound natural and remember that you’re writing it for a real person.  Not only will Google not like your website but what makes you think it’s going to convert?  Talk like you’re talking to Google’s robots and you don’t get paid, it’s as simple as that.

Keyword Tools for your Blog

There are several keyword tools you can use out there that will give you similar results.  I use the keyword tool at the Wealthy Affiliate University and it does the job pretty well

Jaxxy is probably the best keyword tool out there on the market.  Jaxxy allows you to do a bunch of things that a normal keyword tool would do which means more arsenal to your online business.

What does Jaxxy do…

  1. SEO Power – Jaxxy will let you know if the keyword you choose will be a good keyword for your article.  It will save you the time from writing about something that has a lot of competition.  Better rankings equals more money.
  2. KQI (Keyword Quality Index) – This will allow you to know if your keyword has good quality for any marketing campaign like PPC, SEO or other things.
  3. QSR (Quoted Search Results) – This is a big deal in the keyword game.  This aspect will let you know how many competing pages are out there for the specific keyword you choose.  Note:  The fewer the better (below 300 is perfect)
  4. Montly Searches – This comes equipped with any keyword research tool so I did this one last.  It’s also self explanatory so I’m not even going to get into this one.

So how Important are Keywords?

After reading this post I’m pretty sure you know how important keywords are if you want to be a successful online marketer.  Make it a habit of doing keyword research and you will see how this can help you greatly with your online business.

In closing with how to find keywords for your blog post I would like to say that keywords are a big part of making money online so I suggest you grab yourself a keyword tool and start finding some awesome keywords that you can easily rank with Google and get more traffic going to your website.  That is how you find keywords my friend now get to work and start getting the traffic your website needs.
