Price: $129
Overall Rating: SCAM!
Who doesn’t want an iPhone 6s. I was actually warned by a buddy of mine on Facebook about Luxquiz being a scam, so I had to get this review up real quick just to warn everyone else.
I love my gadgets, but I was never a fan of these types of sites. The last time I saw something like this was through a site called Quibids.com.
This is not the same thing, but they do use electronics as their bait to get people to join something that seems too good to be true.
What Exactly is Luxquiz?
A site claiming to have you win different prizes, by challenging other members in a quick game. Most people get suckered into this by their whole “get the brand new iPhone 6 for only $1”.
If that didn’t raise a red flag, then I’m glad you’re on this review. Keep falling for stuff like this and you’ll think that everything online is a scam.
How it Works
It doesn’t. They get you to opt-in to their mailing list by having you submit your email before doing anything else.
They do this so that they can market to you over and over and over again, until you cancel and choose to opt-out of their mailing list.
Then you will be sent to the next page where they will ask you for more information with one being your credit card info.
Did that raise a red flag yet? If not, you might want to read this review all the way to the end or you will really be on the losing end of things if you’re not careful.
How to Win Prizes
To “win” any of these prizes, you will be competing against other members in the game you choose to play. Sounds exciting right?
You’re better off trying to win a stuffed animal at one of those games with the claw that drops down to pick up your prize, and that only costs a $1.
There are trivial style games, and others that are all timed. Don’t beat the timer and you lose. With the price you will be spending on this membership, you are better off saving your money and buying these products yourself.
There are many complaints that people aren’t getting their products and it is also a pain in the butt to cancel your membership.
The Real Price to Join Luxquiz
This site is based out of the UK so the denominations will be in Euro, not USD. In the end it is all money, and not chump change either.
Initially you are given a free trial and then it jumps to the $1 nonsense. Forget about things and you can expect a nice $129 to be deducted from your bank account.
This is a recurring payment, so remember that they will keep deducting that amount every single month, unless you cancel your membership.
You will not be getting a refund and all I can say is good luck trying to cancel your membership. You’ll have an easier time getting your driver’s license at the DMV.
Yes, Luxquiz is a Scam
You are not going to win any prizes and you are not going to get a free iPod shuffle just for being a member, so I hope you understand that.
The main goal behind this scheme is to get you to bite the $1 bait and give you problems when you try and cancel your membership.
This site is nothing but a scam and will keep making money from the completely uneducated. You know that Apple products don’t come around that easy and you will not get it for a dollar either. Not even for the shuffle.
These types of sites are designed this way and it is nothing new to the online world. It is only a matter of time before this rodeo gets shutdown, so be patient.
Final Overview
Name: Luxquiz
Website: www.luxquiz.com
Real Price: $129
Overall Rating: SCAM!
Yup, another too good to be true scam. Stay away from this site and other sites that claim to do the same thing or you’ll be left scratching your head.
What I Recommend
Quit chasing the shiny little object. Whether you’re trying to win a pretty iPhone 6 or trying to make money online, it is not going to happen that easily.
Just like how I got my iPhone, is the exact same way you will get yours. By working! Even if you wait another year, the price for iPhones don’t drop that far.
Thanks for reading my review of Luxquiz and I hope you have learned a thing or two about these types of sites, before you start giving money away.
I would like to hear from you. Have you given into the Luxquiz scam? Share your experience in the comments section below and I look forward to hearing from you!

I sure wish I saw this two months ago got taken for 264.00. I’m really pissed at myself. I usually am very careful. Now im getting the song and dance from them went to my bank and got new card so they cant do it again. Big lesson learned. Luxquize is a big scam!
Arthur
This is a ridiculous SCAM. People, don’t go there for any reasons. They have to be prosecuted for this fraudulent activity. I contacted my bank and police already. If they don’t return my money I will file a criminal charge against them.
They charged me for $1.53 and $133.00 for nothing without any acknowledgement or any authorizations from me. What a fraud.
i’m really upset.
Never ever again!

thanks for posting this promptly! I got scammed once so I now check names and companies online before purchasing anything.
S vitta
I stupidly fell for this , I’ve had £76.56 go from my account and was pending over 7 days before it showed up on my account . As I had not heard or spent the money myself I called my bank and they told me I could reclaim it back as its not a purchase that has been authorised by myself .
I certainly won’t be doing anything like this again
John
Sorry about that S vitta. I think there are a lot of people that fell for this too so don’t feel bad. Keep trying until you get your money back.
Rick
I just find out I got screwed. Didn’t even pay attention to my credit card transaction until I received a paper letter from them to confirm my address. So disappointed and need to cancel my card and eat that first month membership charge. Expensive lesson!
John
Sorry to hear about that Rick. With a site like that it is kinda hard to NOT believe it. If I didn’t hear about it from a friend, I probably would’ve thought it was legit. Expensive, but yes, lesson learned.

How can I cancelled my membership?
Chris (Gibraltar Business Centre)
Just to let everybody know that they are NOT registered at the address on their web site!!
I am the owner of the Gibraltar Business Centre and I have never even received an application from them.
I am trying to contact them to get my address taken down as I wright this and will be reporting them to the Gibraltar gambling commission!
John
Thanks for that Chris and I hope these scammers haven’t ruined your name!

*whew* I did see this earlier….. thought it was too good to be true.Only paid £1.04 and realised it was a subscription of £74 a month so I quickly opted out within 24 hrs so luckily, nothing was taken out of my bank after a few days.
Looks like I won’t be fooled by something like this ever again….
John
Good for you Lesley. Some people weren’t as fortunate, but I’m glad you didn’t lose much money. Just make sure that you are not going to be billed again, because these guys will take your money faster than you think!
ivet
Hi how can I opted out? I just paid £1…. feeling hopless. please help
John
Make sure you cancel the credit card you used to make your payment. If you can’t figure that out, you might want to call your bank and ask them to cancel all payments to this scam.
Michecarine
Please can someone tell how I can cancelled my membership with them cause they are taking money from my credit card please help me.
Rona

Emmett Lennox
I wish I had of seen your review a week ago, b/c they screwed me out of $130.
John
Sorry about that Emmet. This is actually one of the biggest scams on the market right now, so do be careful with what you get involved with.
