Skillpay
Summary
Name: Skillpay
Owners: Kevin & Darin Blue
Website: www.skillpay.com
Price: $67 (monthly)
In this Skillpay review, I want to show you how this program is a lot different from other make money from home programs. I will also be answering a lot of the is it a scam and is it legit questions that come along with any work from home business.
I actually came across this site through a buddy of mine and he wanted me to do a review on this program because he was really interested in how everything worked. Here is more on Skillpay and what they have to offer.
What is Skillpay?
Skillpay is a make money online program with its primary focus on niche marketing. It was founded by Kevin and Darin Blue and actually just launched very recently.
I actually love the fact that there is two brothers who actually run this business and actually support each other. There are a couple of other members who help with other aspects of the business.
The business is ran very similarly to my #1 recommendation Wealthy Affiliate, but has its differences and the price being a big one. These guys have some differences, but mostly the same approach to online marketing. I was actually pretty impressed with these guys, because there aren’t many legit make money from home programs out there.
If you look at the chart below, you will see many differences with my #1 recommendation and one not mentioned would be the price, which is a big $20 difference. With WA you get 1 on 1 coaching whenever you want as with Skillpay, you can only get this if you buy their annual plan which costs $695!
With Skillpay it is actually quite simple. They start you off with this “action plan” and this is where you will be choosing your niche. They have this portion to be very helpful, because they show you so many niches that I really could never think of on my own. From divorce to parking tickets, there are thousands of niches to choose from. Here is exactly how it is broken down.
- Identify your passion
- Build a community
- Master fundamentals
- Monetize your market (the fun part)
- 90 day launch
Alright, this may not be so easy to understand so I’m going to break it down a little more.
With the “identify your passion” section, you will be choosing your niche, which can be completely anything. once you have chosen your niche through their pretty cool tool, you will be going into the creation of your website.
Here you will be choosing a domain name (www.domainname.com) and getting it hosted. This comes with your membership, but can also be hosted elsewhere.
Once you have the site up and running, you will then go into building your community. They have this personal challenge set up and it will actually help you with building a Facebook page. This is actually some of the best Facebook training that I have come across and I actually did learn a couple of new tricks from this.
After the Fanpage setup, you will be heading into the fundamentals of online marketing. Here is where you will learn all about blogging and SEO. This (to me) is the core to any online business and is actually what I enjoy doing.
Once you get trained, you will be headed into the make money process of online marketing, which is monetizing your market. This is what too many people worry about, and is a big reason that not a lot of people make money online. The cart before the horse will not make you successful online. Here you can expect to be signing up to affiliate programs from like Clickbank and Google Adsense.
Then finally you have the 90 day launch. Here is where you should’ve made money and now it’s time to master everything. You can join in on discussions and learn more about capturing leads and what not.
This may sound like a bunch of BS, but it is actually something that I’ve learned at Wealthy Affiliate, so I know this type of stuff works. Not too many programs like this out there and I really don’t recommend many programs.
The Cost & What You Get
Skillpay is not going to be so cheap to startup and not so cheap to continue either. It is going to cost you $67/month and comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. You can always get a free account, but that really comes with nothing that you can use.
As a free member you get access to 30 videos, which won’t offer much, but it’s still free. You also get to attend the weekly webinars and you can also access the forum. Other than that, you don’t get much.
Being a premium member always has its advantages and is usually nothing compared to the free version. Here is where you get access to everything and I think is of high value, but is it worth $67 a month?
What You Get as a Premium Member
Going premium is always good, at least when it comes to work from home programs. With the premium membership at Skillpay, you actually get access to very premium training and tools, which I will show you.
- premium training – This is where you learn the real deal Holyfield training to make money online. There are lessons on Facebook Marketing, Youtube marketing, and all the methods that are used with Social Media, in regards to making money online.
- Step by step action plan – Here you are given steps to make money online. it shows you how to setup your fan page, create your website, and monetize it. Pretty simple and works great.
- Free website and hosting – You are given one free website, as well as hosting. These two are usually done on its own and is actually very inexpensive, but it is something you can expect as a premium member.
- Keyword evaluation Tool – Keyword research tools are always good, but some are not worth the money. If you are familiar with online marketing, you will know what a good research tool can do. This also compares to my #1 research tool and is something I really liked with Skillpay.
- Affiliate Program – Most programs actually let you promote them for free, but not here. As a premium member, you can now promote Skillpay and make money in the process.
- Inner Circle Facebook Group – Here you can join Skillpay’s Facebook group, where you can interact with other members and share tips and tricks to making money online. You can always do this in the forum within the actual website.
These are the key benefits of becoming a premium member and is actually what you need to succeed with Skillpay. you will not make it as a free member so if you really want to make money, you will NEED to upgrade.
What I Liked About Skillpay
I like how these guys approach the social networks and how they are very knowledgeable in that department. They explain it very well and I did learn new things.
I love the fact that the training is focused on promoting actual niches, rather than promoting themselves like these network marketing businesses, that force you to promote them to make money. Here, you make money promoting things you actually enjoy.
The action plan is very simplified and will help any newbie to the online world, understand what niche marketing is all about.
I also liked how “the Blues brothers” get in and help the members out, this is always a plus and is sometimes the key to anyone’s success online.
What I Didn’t Like
When you become a member, one of the fields would be for your telephone number. By doing this, you will allow Skillpay to contact you via phone. Why I don’t like this? They will literally call you every single day, just to get you signed up. Email marketing is already irritating, what more phone calls?
I had to get that one out of the way, but the next thing I didn’t like was the pricing. Although they have good training, I don’t think it’s worth $67 every month. Some people may argue this, but there are other make money online programs that are a lot cheaper.
Another thing that I wasn’t too fond of was the free membership. You really aren’t getting anything as a free member and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I don’t think you should give away techniques and training for free, especially if it works.
I also liked how they don’t promote any get rich overnight nonsense and how they don’t show the nice cars and fancy houses like most online marketing gurus do. These guys are legit and they would help you make money online.
Is Skillpay Worth it?
I like the training and Skillpay is not a scam. Nos is it worth $67? I’m going to say yes and no. Yes in a sense that you can always make that back, but I still think it is a little pricey. You can find training like this for a lot cheaper and will make you money online.
However, this program will make you money and it does work. Whether you buy it or not, is totally up to you. If you do, good luck. If you don’t, good luck as well.
I hope you enjoyed this review of Skillpay and I hope you can make a better decision when choosing the right work from home business. Let me know what you think in the comments section below and don’t forget that sharing is caring. Cheers!
