This is nothing more than a paid survey site that pays you pennies for filling out surveys. To get straight to the point, this type of stuff is not worth the time, scam or not. At least that’s what I think, so you might want to read more to see exactly what this is all about.
With programs like this as well as MLMs you can expect the back and forth thing from its members and people who aren’t happy campers. Of course you’ll get good reviews from anyone trying to promote this and you’ll most likely get bad ones from members that have flat out given up and aren’t making anything. Just like them, I have my two cents.
What You Get
When you join CashCrate, you get access to their website of course, which will give you access to their forum and also where you can start filling out surveys.
You also get access to some savings of some of the same stores you are probably shopping at already, but then again, it’s pennies. Some may argue that it does add up, but good luck trying to make this happen.
It is completely free to signup with CashCrate, but they do require you to put in some nice little information. Here they get to “market” to you, which is totally fine with me.
How Cash Crate Makes Money
Just like the other programs like this, they all make their money the same way. So you’re going to take surveys and that is it right? Not so fast my friend, there’s a lot more to this than you think.
With these survey sites, you will be required to enter some nice little information. When you signup to these “recommended” programs, you will need to put in your little credit card information and this is where things get tricky.
They are nothing but trials, but of course they hope you forget about it so that they can automatically pull your money from you. This has happened to me, and I know it happens to a lot of other people.
The Referral Program (Gotta Love These)
Just like any business out there, you can make money by referring people to them. CashCrate has its program, which will require you to tell people about this wonderful opportunity?
When you send out your personal link and you get someone to signup under you, you will then have the chance to earn some money off of their purchases as well as the people that they refer. Pretty simple right?
Just like how an MLM business is ran, you get paid through their little compensation plan. However, there is only two levels, which are people you signup directly and the people they signup.
You get 20% of what your direct referral makes and you get 10% of what their referrals make. If you know how much you make with this business, you will know that 20% is not going to be a lot.
This is probably the biggest thing anyone is concerned about when deciding whether it is worth the time and money to invest into another program. Let me just say that you won’t be making much.
You get paid anywhere from $.30 – $.75 a survey. Mind you, some of these surveys take more than 30 minutes to fill out! You really think you can create a solid business from this?
With this one, you get paid when you’ve accumulated at least $20. It is not easy to reach this threshold, so I really don’t think it is worth the time. Here are some of the payouts for this month, but you can also see more here on what people are really making with this company.
Cash Crate Complaints
There are many complaints about people not getting paid. First of all, it takes a really long time to reach the minimum payout and then they hold your money? This kind of stuff starts to get frustrating especially if your turnaround is only $20!
If you don’t want to be spammed with email, then you might want to unsubscribe from their mailing list. These guys will spam the crap out of your inbox, so that is something you should expect when joining this.
Is Cash Crate a Scam?
For most, that $20 check is the best thing that’s ever happened to them. For others, this is not worth the time. For me, I think not only that this is a complete waste of time, but with all the complaints, that has sealed the deal.
This is nothing but a scam and I think you need to stay away from this one. You’re already making pennies to fill out these surveys and on top of that you can’t even get paid? Yeah, not something you want to waste your time on.
In the end, it is totally up to you. If you think it is worth the time and money then go for it. I only recommend things that work and I have personally tried myself and this is not one of them.
What I Think
If you are looking for a legit way to make money online, you need to try programs like the Wealthy Affiliate. You can make one sale and that will be a month’s worth of work for CashCrate. It is one of the few I recommend, and I know it works.
I do business online and full-time at that. I market other people’s products and get paid to do it. Too many people think that multilevel marketing and programs like this are the only way to kick your 9-5 to the curb, but I can promise you that it’s not.
If you have any experience (good or bad) with CashCrate, I would love to hear what you think, so please leave your thoughts in the comments section below. Do you think this is a scam?
